Zoroark Green: <So, if you head north, you can find a path from here that leads to a cave called the Relic Passage. It actually passes through non-porous rock all the way under the $HUDSON river towards Driftveil, but I don't go that way very often. We're going to use it to get to one of the underground floors of the Relic Castle near the Nimbasa side of the desert.>

PEFE!Every: Presumably she could, but I'm not sure she'd be willing, and it's not a request I'd like to be well-known by someone who might refuse. It doesn't seem like the sort of thing people will think highly of.

Ever: Ah. So we're hiding the truth.

PEFE!Every: Is that a problem?

Ever: Only when you're not good at it...Which neither of us are.

-PEFE!Every rolls her eyes-

Some mad scientist or malevolent leadership types following a video game villain, flying around in an airship and calling themselves Mobius. They did some disruption thing to a ritual that some people I know were attempting for some reason but it clearly failed when those Mobius folks zapped it to cause a dimensional shatter.

I've been basically everywhere in Unova, just wandering around doesn't bother me one bit. The thing is, despite traveling to the same places multiple times, in my experience you can always find something new about them.

Ever: Normally these sorts of things are phrased as a request.

PEFE!Every: Jacob wants Tragedy dead as much as I do. Now get out, I'm going to have the Chaos fragment in here again and it may be in a psychic-proof container but I'm not taking any risks that I don't have to.

Ever: You know Jacob's seen as much if not more horrifying stuff, right? What if Chaos turns into Shadow Regina?

PEFE!Every: The fragment took all night to gather information from you. I don't want to risk it being able to assert itself faster a second time around, but with Jacob it should have to start the process over. I'll only need him for about five minutes.

Ever: ...I'll be in the lobby. Don't die, okay?

PEFE!Every: I'm very good at not dying.

-Ever leaves, while Rotary teleports to HQ to retrieve the fragment-

Ganon took Shaun and leapt into the Grand Palkia, awaiting the others.

The Airidos sighed.

"DO NOT WORRY! MY TIME HERE IS DONE! THE JESTER HAS RETURNED AND WOULD HAVE USED ME AGAINST YOU EVENTUALLY. I ACCEPT MY FATE! BUT I AWAIT THE CHALLENGERS TO COME TRY!"

The Airidos nodded to the guards, <You are free to take a few items from the village, you will be the first in a long time to attempt the challenge.>

The Ice!Blight instantly fired a ice beam right at Talbain, "FREEZE MISTER! YOU NEED TO, CHILL OUT! The Ice Man cometh, and he is predicting a ice age!"

Hacks shrugged, ~My trainer has been through a lot.~

"I've seen things you wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the arm of the Slip system..."

“No trainer?” Colt parroted. “Do you have one, or is he just elsewhere?” He considered, drawing an Ultra Ball before shaking his head. Too soon, he considered.

<Come here,> he chimed as he summoned some spires to block the Ice Beam, which then shattered to add to the stones surrounding him. He still took some damage from the Beam, but not as much as he could have <I’ll make it all stop!> He quoted as his maw lit up. <BURN, BABY!> He hollered as he dove.

-Jacob arrives in the hotel to find PEFE!Every, who looks slightly exhausted. What little hair she has is standing straight up, and Spark is perched on her shoulder, looking nervous-

-upon seeing Jacob, however, she smiles-

PEFE!Every: Oh, good, you teleport! Okay, so—

-she explains the basic overview of her plan to power a battery with Chaos-

PEFE!Every: Now, to do that, I need a temporary artificial life with only a memory of being electrically shocked. I'm not going to submit another living thing to something I wouldn't undergo myself, so I needed to be the source of that memory, and then I need a capable telepath to, essentially, copypaste the memory into, uh...

-she grabs a flower from a vase on the counter-

PEFE!Every: This. "Oh wait" you say, "That's a flower; it doesn't have a neural network to work with!" Which is true, but I've had some practice at getting around that. I'm pretty good at putting consciousness in places it doesn't really belong. Cytosol and Xeno will handle that bit.

-indeed, the flower levitates into the air, suspended by the two-

PEFE!Every: So, any questions?

-Ever is eavesdropping, as one does-

-He recalls Argentum- "So, question. Where did you figure out the memory thing?"

-His face drops- "Did... did the sample get loose?"

PEFE!Every: Right, Ever's staying here too, but I decided against having him in the room. He'll let anything in his mind, and the fragment was able to access his memories of Muninn overnight to shatter the vial I was keeping it in. It tried to break into my mind too but I was able to get my Claydol to teleport Ever away before it could gain access to any of my memories it might be able to use against me.

-she wiggles the container-

PEFE!Every: This one is soundproofed and psychic-proofed, so I'm not worried about it pulling something like that again. That said, I'd like to wrap this up quickly.

Cris: <Si-Silver swords?>

Storytelling medium. Any good story needs a villain so as a storytelling medium video games usually have them too.
