“You don’t say!” Amaterasu spat as she lifted Rowan over her shoulder. “C’mon. If he’s blackout drunk like you said, we’ll need to get someone or something able to deal with pounding headaches.

“I know somemon who fits that bill,” she explained as his body was carried to the conservatory, the kanji on her shirt shifting to “難”.

Well, I told you a little bit, but there were my... numerous entanglements with Teams as a child I kinda witnessed both the Sootopolis and Mt. Coronet incidents firsthand, or my travels through the rest of [Japan], or how the PEFE came to be...

Meanwhile, Mordred is attempting to not just squeal in joy that her plan is working. Her efforts are... working, mostly because she doesn't want to get punted and/or solar bladed through a window.

Echo: Well, since I'm joining PEFE, I'd be interested in hearing about their history, so let's start there.

Okay so, long story short, shortly after my 16th birthday the other Founders and I were recruited by Professor Oak to form the PEFE, in order to do things that folks doing the regular Pokédex Project couldn't do. So we made a funny motto, "For Discovery, For Knowledge, For Pokémon, and lived in an old office building for several months when we weren't undergoing training.

Echo: Interesting. Humble beginnings, it sounds like, albeit beginnings orchestrated by one of the biggest-name researchers in [JAPAN].

-Corrin gives Artoria an apologetic look-

Corrin: Yes, this murk crow is Henry. He came along with Robin, apparently after messing with dark magic.

Henry: <Nice to meet you! Now I'm trying to mess with dark magic again so we might have a chance to get back home!>

Corrin: Henry no.

Vigilante Toucan: <Noble intentions or not, I still cannot allow you to make a mess of a library intended for guest use!>

-To Echo-

We managed to recruit some people before, but even Tangent had to go out and do a lot of fieldwork because we were so small. But then during that time Tracer, Silent, and I tangled with some poachers in Hoenn, and then afterwards we found a symbol on their truck that we didn't recognize. Tangent figured out what the symbol was, an obscure Angelan good luck symbol, and we flew to Angela to find out what that was about. It was there we found out about Pokefutures.

Mordred: <You... You... YOU STUPID BIRDS THEY WERE ABOUT TO KISS.> -She throws her blades up in the air out of frustration.-

Artoria goes even redder. "Wedefinitelywerenotabouttokissitwasjustdancing. So, you two would be from the same world then?"

Echo: Right... the organization Martin and Leslie originated from.

-Corrin looks at Mordred indignantly-

Corrin: We were not about to kiss! Gods, we only just met one time before today.

-She shakes her head, and gives Artoria another apologetic look.-

Corrin: Yeah, we're from the same world. He apparently thought he had died, but then woke up in this world transformed into a murk crow.

Henry: <And then she showed up as a cute little dragon! So now we're friends, because, hey, birds of a feather, yes?>

Vigilante Toucan: <...>

Corrin: ...

Vigilante Toucan: <...I am tempted to turn you into authorities based solely on that pun.>

-To Echo-

We raided their HQ in an attempt to collect incriminating information, and fought their security forces. There was some pretty fucked up stuff in there, like the Parasect machine, and that accursed FutureOS that defies all attempts to kill it. I was the designated escapee, so I holed up in the [Japanese] embassy, but the others got interrogated and jailed.

And then the other shoe dropped, and Pokefutures was revealed to be a devil it's known as now. But, that came with some serious consequences.

Artoria: -still flushed red- "Mordred please"

Mordred turns to Henry.

-Beat-

And breaks out laughing.

Mordred: -recovers some of her composure.- <I like this guy, he's funny.>

-Echo nods, following Tagg's story but remaining quiet for the time being-

-He flies off.-

Vigilante Toucan: <Wh— get back here!>

-VT flies off after him. Corrin sweatdrops-

Corrin: I... think I should go make sure he doesn't get anyone kicked out.

-To Echo-

So, turns out that taking out Pokefutures... also took out like 90% of Angela's economy since they basically owned the place. And you know the saying, you break it, you bought it. We had to take Pokefutures assets or go to jail, and be in service to the Angelan regional government until, well, next year. One of said assets being our current main HQ.

Mordred: <NOOOOOOOOOO!>

Artoria: "Mordred please it was one dance"

Mordred: <Quick offer to go with!>

Artoria: "Mordred!"

-She turns toward the direction the birds flew off to, and makes her way through the crowd.-

Corrin and Artoria attained support rank C!

Artoria just stands there awkwardly as Corrin runs off, making a mental note to question Mordred later.

Mordred just starts humming happily to herself.

Artoria eventually decides to stop standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor and go head back over to the food table because f o o d.
