A blue scarf is drawn from Colt's jacket and suddenly he is no longer there, but there's an orange Lycanroc now sitting on his haunches across from Mandible, said blue scarf around his neck being the only evidence of Colt's presence, at least coupled with his ever-iconic jacket.

<I can understand your paranoia,> he admitted as he then laid down on his chest in front of him, reaching a paw for the top of his head.

Jacob: -He blinks as Dezi goes soaring past, overshooting-

-He sighs- "You really never change, huh? Well, on to business."

-He nods and takes off his jacket, and pushes up his sleeve to reveal the black writhing growth. Which has spread slightly further down his bicep and further up his shoulder, somewhat on to his chest-

"... It was about 3/4ths this size yesterday. It hadn't spread that much in such a timeframe since the initial wound and infection."

-The vein like bits writhe and pulse-

"... It... it was caused by a glitch. So I have no idea what it's doing. But it hasn't caused any adverse health effects until very very recently. And only when agitated."

-Ludmilla looks over the ridge to see a tiny, minuscule star-shaped object floating down the beach like a piece of spare paper.-

-She watches it for a time as it lazily drifts down the beach.-

-A Pallosand jumps up from the beach, mouth agape, in an attempt to snatch the little creature from the air.-

*SHRING!*

-The air rings with the sound as the Pallosand tumbles apart - thankfully it had no nervous system to sever. Ludmilla jumps back at the sound as the rock in front of her splits in half.-

-The little paper star continues to float down the beach.-

-Deziree shakes her head.-

Deziree: You are damned lucky I've got something regarding glitches I want to test.

-She takes out a Pokeball, flips it a little, and releases its contents.-

-Sitting on the ground is a Ralts.-

Deziree: Alright, Maxim. Are you ready?

-The Ralts sniffs the air for a second before it smiles to reveal waaaaaaaaaay more teeth than a Ralts should have.-

Maxim: <Hy smell sometink gut!>

Deziree: That a yes?

-Maxim bolts upright and salutes.-

Maxim: <Yes, mistress!>

Deziree: Good. Jacob, sit down and sit still.

-She hands him a chunk of two by four.-

Deziree: And if it starts hurting, bite onto this before you crack a molar.

Jacob: "... I'll be fine. But thanks. ... Wait, Maxim...?"

-He shakes his head-

"Go ahead. Hopefully this works."

-Maxim hops up next to Jacob. He holds up the offending arm and opens his mouth wide, showing all of his teeth.-

Deziree: 'Ey!

-Maxim jumps. Deziree shakes her head, and Maxim sulks a moment before closing his mouth again. He puts his lips to the arm and sucks/slurps.-

*Sluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp!*

-Maxim, his cheeks full of the noxious stuff, swallows with some difficulty.-

Deziree: ... Maxim? You feeling alright?

Maxim: ...

-There's an awkward grumble from Maxim's abdomen.-

-The Ralts falls onto his bottom blinking in a daze.-

-thinks a bit-

Speaking of which, how is our "squad" gonna get in that party Colton mentioned? Unless you all have spare invitations.

Neon: I'm assuming that's a no.

-The growth itself is less virulent and less active, and in fact looks withered, having receded back to just over the bicep, the blackness faded to just a darker scarring tissue color-

Jacob: -He flexes and curls each of his fingers in one at a time- "... Well it hurts less."

-The growth twitches and thumps, regaining a bit of it's blackish color, before settling again-

"... It doesn't look solved but you definitely undid a lot the damage."

Route 4

-Deziree blinks.-

Deziree: I've got two more. Want me to give them a shot?

Maxim: <Oktoberfest!>

Deziree: Maxim, shoosh. You're not supposed to know what that is yet.

Megan: Sure! I'm up to hang out! Let me just contact my team...

-suddenly Lycanroc-

-she blinks-

-and blinks again-

Did he—did you—

-she edges away, towards the rest of the group-

—just turn into a Lycanroc...?

-she stares-

-uneasily- What is going on...?

-A sense of dread washes over Jacob-

-He ignores it, it must just be nerves-

"I mean... I don't see how it could hurt. Dimo and Oggie, right?"

Colt Talbain reached into his jacket pocket and balanced an Ultra Ball on the back of his paw. Lucario appeared, being the only one able to translate for the group.

Talbain growled something in his language, and Lucario responded by shrugging and looking to the frayed Expert Belt around his head before wrapping the loose end around the area just under his wrist spike. He summoned a smaller Aura Sphere before crushing it in his paw and placing said paw just in front of his muzzle for translation.

<This is the kind of thing you get used to,> he summarized, <like a scarf only he has able to turn people into Pokemon, or the orange one able to do the opposite - Pokemon to Human.>

Talbain growled something again, Lucario looked at him incredulously before shrugging. <Anyone else want to try it?>

Yeah, neither of them held much regard for Mandible now...

Route 4

Deziree: Alrighty then! Come on out, boys.

-Two more small Pokemon appear - an Elekid and a Cacnea. She seems to miss Jacob actually correctly guessing their names.-

Deziree: Oggie. Dimo. Suck the nastiness out of Jacob's arm - and no teeth.

-The Elekid mopes, but the Cacnea dopeslaps his brother.-

Dimo: <Dah mistress still vants dah man in vun piece, und ve don' vant to make dah mistress mad.>

Oggie: <Hy know, hy know!>

-They brush past their brother, who is now humming an out-of-tune commercial jingle he heard the other day, and latch - without teeth - onto Jacob's arm. The two suck and slurp. The Elekid eventually tumbles backward, and the Cacnea bloats and rolls away.-

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELCH!*

-As does Jacob's arm-

-When they're all done, the growth is no longer present at all-

-However, Jacob's left arm is little more than a leather bag stretched over a stick-

"This was not one of them."

-The little Pokemon laugh and belch at each other while Deziree pokes the sack that should really have more substance to it.-

-She takes out her phone, takes some pictures, and texts a message with them.-

Deziree: Well, no shit! You've got no muscle left! That tumor was a very literal if oddly specific tumor - it ate all of your musculature!

-She lifts the arm and tests the joints.-

Deziree: Plus side, it feels like all the tendons, blood vessels, cartilage and obviously bones are still in place. Which is good, because if this went cyanotic and gangrenous I would have had Wuffles warm up my chainsaw.

Wuffles: Acknowledged. Stowing chainsaw.

Deziree: But... there is no muscle left. You're gonna need some highly specific and maybe not quite approved by the FDA treatment for this.
