Artoria waves somewhat reluctantly.

Tamamo: "We are taking a trip♡"

Artoria looks around confused.

Astolfo continues their wandering as if nothing has changed.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.

Unova Pokemon League - Caitlyn's Sanctum

With Colton deciding to sit down for reasons somewhat unknown to both of them, Caitlyn decided to send out her next 'mon first.

Said Reuniclus materialized, waving hello to her challenger in a friendly manner. Colton only nodded in response before sending out Julius.

Julius them proceeded to dive directly for Reuniclus with his fangs bared for crunch, only to greatly regret it because he tasted cytoplasm. Bluh. Reuniclus capitalized on that by lobbing a Focus Blast at him.

Julius elected to counter this notion and nigh-searing pain with a Facade tackle. No longer distracted by the taste in his mouth, the next Focus Blast attack went wide. One more Facade and she was down, his Shell Bell making him confident enough to take one more hit.

Caitlyn responded to Julius feeling better with a Sigilyph. Castelian and Normal-type both smirked, the latter engaging with a Crunch. Sigilyph dodged out of the way before countering with an Air Slash. Yeah, Julius was down.

Fortunately, there was a 'mon perfectly capable to do something about this. Rei materialized a short distance for Sigilyph with an ear-shredding clap. And then she pressed further with an Icicle Crash, Sigilyph falling to the ground.

But she wasn't down yet. Sigilyph fired off a Flash Cannon at Rei, only to notice she was gone.

Turned out she had grabbed the Flying-type's wings to drag her to the ground. THEN she was down.

And Caitlyn was down. To her last 'mon. She elected to send out Bronzong. Rei introduced herself with grabbing the Bronze Bell Pokemon at the top before slamming him into the ground. Bronzong responded with a short-ranged burst of light.

Rei was greatly weakened but not done. She hoped she could get one more turn in by stunning him with Icicle Crash. But that was wishful thinking, if the move barely doing jack and her taking another Flash Cannon told her anything. Not that she'd hear, since she fainted.

Colton returned her, knowing how best to go about this. Amaterasu materialized and roasted Bronzong in a Fire Blast. That tore it.

Colton left the arena, sitting down a distance from the elevator as he let his 'mons grab whatever revives or restores they'd need for the final encounter.

He exhaled. This was it. Seven years of waiting for this. He was ready.

Sylveon fidgeted his shoulder. Colton looked at her, a blank look on his face. They nodded. Colton returned everyone.

Helmsman, his first 'mon and the one who managed to get him to go outside on his own.

Julius, the one with the most potential and the one who helped Colton learn his own potential.

Sylveon, the one he saw himself in a lot, for better or worse.

Amaterasu, the first Shiny he ever saw and the only one that seemed to have fun battling.

Lucario, the one that shared an almost familial vibe with him.

9-Volt, able to bring a smile to everyone, even at his own expense.

Rei, the first 'mon he ever captured in five years.

Colton stepped onto the elevator. It was time.

-Brie gives Tagg a sheepish smile, and waves to the new arrivals-

Brie: Hey, the more the merrier!

Whirlygig: -letting herself out- <Alternatively, they're moles, and they turn on us the second we get there.>

Brie: No pessimism today, alright?

Whirlygig: <I have nothing else to offer.>

-she huffs-

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

Snakeye cricked his neck, <Wanna play that game huh?>

"Aegislashs are steel/ghost types, meaning the body is durable. Pin Missile aim for the eye."

Snakeye grinned, <Can do Boss,>

Snakeye darted forward and raised a arm, pins firing from it right at Vilkas.

The attacks are getting better, then one of the Centurion Spiders approaches Shaun's group, it raises it's legs up high and begins to swipe at them.

The elevator is almost there.

Unsurprisingly Pentigan's attack with the Gasters is cutting through most of the horde. But the Horde comes still.

"She. He. Irrelevant to me. I am a construct, a intelligence made by my Glitch to command this vessel."

Groundblight floated forward, the sight of twisting Glitch ink merged with Hyul technology becoming clear, "And I believe in a fair fight."

The Blight split into two, Height diminishing a bit. "Pick your teams, I will fight you both, I have been active so long that a fair challenge would be interesting."

"I'm also free to answer questions if you wish."

"Sooooooooooo... you two ever do anything as beings of phenomenal cosmic power that you regret?" Jester asked.

The Plain Bean

Rose: Yeah, I know the feeling. The League thing isn't really my style, honestly, even though the company it gives you is great.

-She takes a sip of her hot chocolate-

Rose: Honestly, I'm just doing the trainer thing now so I can prepare for the day when someone inevitably tries to cut my throat or something. Assuming I don't just, like, let it happen.

-Duolis clips through the Horde with Shadow Sneak to get to the elevator-

Unova Pokemon League

Feeling the need to at least let someone know what he was about to do, Colton drew his phone, setting up two different chatrooms.

He pocketed and silenced his phone, entering the massive chamber the Champion seemed to reside in. Iris was standing there, meeting him at eye level.

"You held onto those badges for seven years?" She asked.

"I didn't know I didn't have to claim your duties," Colton defended.

"You're not the first," she comforted. "So why don't we get going?"

"Yeah," Colton agreed, rather subdued.

Sylveon was fully aware of how vital this battle would be to Colton, having gotten her affairs in order with herself. Lapras was slow enough for her to do it.

Which accidentally worked against her, since her Zoom Lens allowed for her attack to connect easily.

Sylveon fired up her Quick Claw so she could more easily dodge next time.

Lapras fired, and Sylveon's intuition was correct.

Sylveon drained a little of Lapras' strength, feeling much better thanks to her previous Calm Minds.

But Lapras wasn't done.

Sylveon was feeling much colder, but wasn't yet frozen. She wanted this to end.

Afterwards, Sylveon grabbed her Quick Claw in a feeler and channeled a little power into it, allowing her to make her move first again.

Sylveon had gone to somewhere around 1/3 health, and she feared that her Claw would remain inactive. Those fears were furthered when Iris sent out his next 'mon.

Galant Groundon

"Assemble our team?" He parroted. "Is there a cap? I mean, I only brought six 'mons," he clarified, "but am I just chopped liver?" He asked rhetorically, throwing an Orbitar in front of him and watching it burst into a standard Dark Pulse before he took the other one and absorbed in into his palm.

“Use Aqua Jet and clear a path to the elevator! I’ll be right behind you!”
