Tex blinked, and then saw the souls of everyone ascending from the building as it collapsed, thankfully after everyone had exited. The harsh rules of the glitch finally gone, the building broken after years of disrepair.

Ghosts in the Ink Machine. Their souls were used to animate toon constructs made from otherwise mundane ink, when the machine went down their souls were freed. You may want to get some people in to retrieve the skeletal remains for burial.
