In time, Colton exited the shack, his wallet containing about 2.3 bowls of ramen less worth of moolah. (He overestimated the tip.) He sat in the middle of the village, draping his legs into the part of the dock that opened up to reveal the ocean below.

He pulled out his phone, scrolling through something on his screen. After he tapped something else, he leaned back.

"I'm through with standing in line to clubs I'll never get in;

It's like the bottom of the ninth, and I'm never gonna win~

This life hasn't turned out quite the way I want it to be~"

-Well, there really isn't much to recap since Lane helped Tori finally put an end to the digital glitch induced mindescape shinanigans she and Ignia were stuck in back in February, Even counting the laser pistol thing and the albino-ish Buneary named King that she managed to bring back with her, somehow. Glitches are weird, yo.-

-He doesn't like being in a pokeball, and still finds being around humans weird, but otherwise he seems to be adjusting to his new reality decently well-

-In any case, today there's a blond girl flopping on her bed after a long day of helping her surrogate/adoptive-ish daughter figure practice her contest routines-

Tori: Phew, I'm beat... Iggy's getting pretty good at that coordinator for her age

-Beat-

...Wait, she's 13 now isn't she? Damn, when did that happen?

-A female Eevee that hatched at some point off screen hops up on the bed-

Tori: "Hey Momo"

-Tori gratefully snuggles-

13 and she's just got Lane and me for "parents"... almost sorry for the girl there

-The young woman tints as thoughts about 'family time' with the three of them lead into thoughts about her own relationship with Lane-
