Kevin sighed and broadcasted his surrender, he wasn't interested in getting shot down and he doubted he had Dexter's sheer durability and ability to survive a crash. His Canroc II came to a slow hover, "I'll get out of prison, I am merely a mercenary and we're covered."

Shifter hadn't returned.

Dexter had clearly taken great care of his Fighter as it withstood the onslaught, however he had little chance to properly fight back. "Have to face me 3 on 1? Guess you can't face me at all!" He taunted.

Logan refused to fire, he wanted to see what was being beamed to him. Silas sat there, "I apologize that you had to find out this way..."

Logan raised a brow, "Apologize for-" then the video began.

-Lyra sits silently, hovering near Kevin's ship. The only sound in it is the hum of the thrusters and slight mechanical sounds as her railgun fabricates another round.-

Alyesha smirked, nope, such ruins wouldn't help, instead there was the distinctive sound of one of her Screamers being launched... and then again, and again, and even more following as she emptied more or less half her arsenal onto the area, saturating it with countless small missiles that - while not tracking targets - still could do quite the damage over short amounts of time by merit of sheer numbers - and the launch-sound was awesome

Shaun: "I know what you mean. In any case, it gives us a break."

Ace: <What about that Celesteela? Will they be okay?>

Shaun: "They'll be fine. I hope. If that Frieden guy manages to find them-"

Tsunami: <I'll see to him.>

-Shaun gives her a half-scared, half-admiring look.-

Jessica: <Don't you need to get them a gift?>

-Shaun blinks then frowns.-

Shaun: "Yes. I'll think of something."

Ruby: <Wasn't Marshall Bryan's best man?>

Shaun: "I'l call him and ask for advice. Later."

-He lies back on the bed, hands behind his head. Jessica curls up on his chest.-

Jessica: *content noise*

-Shaun smiles and begins to brainstorm.-

-Eleck clenches his fist tighter-

Eleck: <He's like this Everytime an Ultra beast is found. He's head over heals in making sure they're dead. It's all because of that Ultra beast he devolved into that.>

Magma:<.... Do you think he'll ever be back to how he was, before this all happened?>

-The attack hits one of Bad Company's double. Seeing this, Bad Company goes lower, disappearing from sight but still tailing the Celesteela.-

-Cro and his double starts to use Acrobatic on Ace. Bad Company gets close to the Celesteela without them noticing, and attaches a GPS before getting hit by the whirlwind. -

-Bad Company starts a hurricane, barricading Ace's path to Celesteela, as well as Bad Company and Cro themeselves. No one is able to get to the Celesteela without getting dragged into the walls of Tornadoes. Bad Company and Cro flies back but not before Frieden gets the location of Celesteela.-

Aether Paradise-yesterday.

-Frieden looks at his Comm, and finds that Bad Company got the location. However thanks to the Hurricane made by Bad Company, the pinpoint flickers, causing it to glitch.l, slingshoting across seas. Frieden sneers before putting his Comm back in his pockets.-

Frieden: A cure and Payback, huh? Not judging the payback, humans were born to hate. But if the thing I saw in your eyes were just simple revenge.......

-Frieden leans in.-

Frieden: Do you know what I see in you? Ambition, not revenge. Revenge is nothing but a side course for you, isn't it? You want something. Not something more, something back. That 'cure' sure sounds like the one, as good deeds like that shouldn't give your eyes a beautifully sinister gleen. Mind if you tell me your little secret?

Shaun: "Arceusdamnit!"

Ace: <I have a feeling that tracker's going to get messed up.>

-Shaun sighs.-

Shaun: "I hope so. In any case, let's go back."

Logan watched the video in its entirety. He grew silent as it played, and after it ended, Logan wasn't sure what he felt. It was serene, yet filled with endless chaos, hot and fiery, yet chillingly cold. He wanted to lash out at the world and demand it dare not look down upon him, but he knew that wouldn't solve anything.

Dexter's blasters were taken out by Jean's efforts, his thrusters still worked, "Oh really... aim for those..."

"Dexter," Logan sounded, his fighter deviating away from Silas. "Heeeey Logan! Come to help out uncle Dex?" "Why did you let me live?"

Dexter's flames went out, his face fell, "what?"

"Why. Did. You. Let. Me. Live?" Logan repeated, drawing it out as much as possible, his tone wavering, the cool calm he had been displaying so far through every conflict he faced was gone. His holoscreen was displaying static.

"W-w-what makes you think I ever wanted to kill you?" Dexter asked, laughing nervously, it seemed the jig was up. The response was Dexter's own words, "How dare you be better than me... I'm the best pilot in this system!"

Dexter felt faint as the attack stopped, only for a new assault to begin, his ship was peppered with lasers, the shields barely going out for some reason. Dexter floored it and attempted to fly away, only for his ship to inform him, it was the Red and Blue Canroc II behind him, Logan's fighter.

"You raised me after I lost them both... after both mom and dad, and you were there when Win went missing... it was all a lie! IT WAS ALL A LIE!" Logan appeared on the comm view finally, his face twisted with rage, tears streaming down his face. Dexter was in a panic, "I-I-I I liked you! You were even better than your dad! I couldn't waste talent like that!"

"WRONG! STOP LYING!" Logan screamed, "YOU HAD AMPLE OPPORTUNITY AND YOU MADE IT CLEAR THAT YOU DON'T CARE FOR THE JOB! YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THE RULES! YOU COULDN'T HANDLE ANYONE BEING BETTER!!"

Dexter squealed with panic, his shield slowly draining, and he was powerless to stop it. Logan was drawing it out, the IFF was still on.

"YOU ALWAYS PRAISED ME, YOU DEFERRED TO ME, WHY WOULD YOU WAN-" and then it hit Logan... he stopped firing as Dexter scratched against one of the ruined buildings, shield failing, desperately attempting to use one of the emergency escape wormholes he had gotten from his boss.

"You were afraid..." Logan took a deep breath, his rage did not subside but he at least had more air in his lungs now. "You knew you couldn't fight me, I was better than my dad ever was."

Dexter finally got the wormhole device to finally click and open a escape, only for a sudden "IFF off" from the computer, and a charged blast to strike him full force.

Down his fighter tumbled, crashing into the ground and popping open to eject its battered pilot. Dexter limped to the wormhole, attempting to escape, only to hear hover jets as he turned around and saw it. There was Logan's fighter, poised, twin guns aimed right at him. "N-N-Now Logan... I'm family! And you're better than me and would never hurt family riiiight?"

Logan sneered, his rage felt empty and worthless, this worm, this pig, was the cause of so much misery? "I'll grant you one thing Dexter... you did raise me, you did train me... You've always listened to me. So I'll let you live today... Keep in mind. If I ever see you again... There won't be any evidence you ever existed..."

Dexter started to hyperventilate and scrambled for the portal as fast as he could. Ducking in right before it closed.

Logan landed his ship, Shifter having reappeared ready to attack. "Stand down Shifter..."

Shifter blinked, looked back, and shrugged. Turning off his guns and shields. Foxeria forces started to pour in, several ground units rolling up.

Logan looked exhausted, anyone getting a good look would see countless bags under his eyes. "Good luck Cobalt Stars... You'll need it for the Oranguru at the end. I... I need to rest."

Logan collapsed, years of anger, frustration, and lack of proper resolution had finally got to him, and his conscious mind could take no more. He was finished fighting.

Aether Paradise, inside, past

(As Quirinus struggles to his feet, the Hurricane throws him right back down again, then tosses him around like a ragdoll. As it slows to a halt, the final jolt is enough to send Quirinus's mask flying off and skittering away into the corner of the room. One he realises what just happened, Quirinus stares straight at Bad Company, pure hatred etched into every line of his mutilated face.)

Quirinus:    ...   

(He raises his paw, then closes it and squeezes hard as if trying to crush something in it - a gesture Colton will recognise, should he somehow be there. If this is not interrupted, Bad Company will suddenly feel a wave of hideous pain coursing through his entire body, centred on a line of raw agony streaking across his face in the rough location of Quirinus's scar.)

Outside

(Catha, who was building up another attack in her mouth at the moment Amaterasu used Confuse Ray, chokes on it as a sudden fog clouds her mind. With the inside of her mouth literally exploding on her, Catha goes reeling off into the night sky.)

(Elagabalus once again simply stands there and takes the attacks. By now, he's finally starting to look like all the punishment is having some effect on him.)

(With Electric Terrain up, Elagabalus decides Eleck presents the most obvious threat at present. Concentrating until his Drought has reached new heights of blazing heat, he cloaks his body in flames and throws himself straight into the Electivire, colliding with enough force to send the ensuing two-mon fireball skidding back 20-30 feet and throw anything in its way aside.)

Lyra: "Time to take down Dross. Maybe we will be lucky and find Dexter on the way."

Trainwreck: <Whew... guess that's that.>

Sack: <Hm... wish I had gotten the chance to use 'The Combee Movie, But Every Time They Say Bee, Dexter Kills Logan's Father', but it's probably for the best I didn't.>

Star lets out a sigh. "Phew."
