Youko's on her last call of the phone tree.

Youko: Hey big guy. Yeah, it's me, I'm back. Listen, I know you got that new gig, and I am super proud of you, but I need you to come back for something. Yeah. Oh so you heard? Yeah. Yeah you can come masked, your buddy is. Yeah. Alright, see you there. Thanks man.

She hangs up.

Youko: Well, we're set. We give it a few days to get everybody together, and then it goes down.

(Clarice shoves her way in here through the front door, looking a good deal more purposeful than she has in months.)

Clarice: Hey, Paula! Rival! Bitch! There's something up I thought you'd wanna know about!

-Punk is just about to speak to Paula when Clarice storms through the door, knocking him over in the process.-

Paula: Wow, something's got you up in arms enough to talk to me? I'm almost impressed. Who did what stupid thing this time?

Clarice: You know Trevor and Stevo? The actually-competent grunt and that stupid little Jive Turkey who follows him everywhere like a little lost Lillipup? Yeah, well, Stevo stole a Pokemon from some girl Trevor once knew because he's fucking brainless and now all Trevor's old friends are gonna come over here and try to fuck our shit up as revenge. Fun times.

Paula: ...Uh-huh. Is that it? You know this could easily be solved by delivering the idiot who did it directly to them and letting them have their way with one guy, and the rest of us go on our merry way. Or is there more to it?

(Clarice shrugs.)

Clarice: All I know is that Trevor's old pals have some kinda long-standing beef with Skull. The girl Trevor talked to, she sounded like this was something she'd wanted to do for a long time. Stevo just gave 'em an excuse, the little fucking prat.

Po Town

Paula: I see. Well, how bad are these guys?

Punk: Trev said it was gonna be war.

Paula: ...

-Paula groans-

Paula: Of course. Of course it's a war.

Shady House

Clarice: Yep. A good old-fashioned turf war... it'll be just like going home.

(She tilts her head at Paula's comment.)

Clarice: Your tone there was weeeeeird. There something on your mind?

Paula: Look. A couple years ago, I was an admin in Cipher. One of the biggest, baddest crime syndicates in the world, where everyone who joined knew exactly what they were getting into. And the J-Team went to war on us, because damn, we were pretty much fuckin' asking for them to play the heroes. Professional terrorists. Now, Team Skull? There's nothing professional about it. A bunch of kids and teens just trying to survive, doing small crime that didn't amount to anything. Stealing and stuff, maybe a bit of drug use, that's gonna show up anywhere, but no major violence. These kids don't deserve a war of any sort. This is supposed to be safe for them, and safe for us. I didn't want us to look like a serious threat, because nobody in this Arceus-forsaken town can handle it, that's the whole point. You know it, I know it, and the cop living walking distance from the town gates knows it. And if the J-Team gets involved... actually, if the J-Team gets involved, I'm out. I'll be back to pick the pieces up after everything is in ruin, just like before. But while they're around, I'm out. One look at me and any semblance of mercy is out the window.

(Clarice is staring at Paula as if she's just seen her for the first time. Her expression is totally unreadable. When she finally speaks, it's a single word, delivered expressionlessly yet somehow simultaneously with great force.)

Clarice: Cipher...

go ahead mate.

Po Town

Trevor: Did you say Cipher? Fucking Cipher?

Standing in the doorway, Trevor is glaring at both bosses.

Trevor: What the hell! And I thought you were the good one. Tapudamn, that's low. That's real fucking low, Paula.

He looks out the window behind the two. He murmurs to himself, inaudible to those in the room with him.

Trevor: What the hell am I doing here. One of 'em's ex-Cipher, the other one's a drug pusher and a gun runner.

Snapping out of it, he points at Clarice, then at Paula.

Trevor: When the time comes, stick to the plan, for fuck's sake. Stay here, in the mansion, as the big guns. If you two spend yourselves on the first wave of assholes, the whole gang is lost.

Paula: Oh, come on, I just explained I was trying to protect you guys. Like, you zeroed in on one detail that makes everything look ugly and ignored me saying you don't deserve to see that sort of shit. Now, if it's just your everyday gang with a grudge, I'll stay, but if they've got J-Teamers helping out, make sure they don't know I exist. For everyone's sake.

Able to operate his devices again, Colton reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Connecting to the library's internet, he recalled what else interested him.

"Ultra... Beasts..." he recited as he put the term into his search engine. "Lucario, think you could help me find some info on them? They've probably got books on them."

The jackal was about to remark on the fact that they heard of them only 12 hours ago at most, but decided against it.

Tapu Village

Archer: Did someone say turf war on Skull?

-He approaches with Shizuo-

Falconan Moon - Cobalt Chaser

Silas was confused as he watched the target run, then he realized something, "Crap! Lyra! Phaz! They're going towards the Engine Room!"

The ship's alert started blaring, he opened his eyes and looked out, the shield on Lombard had opened a tiny bit, a wormhole opened and spat out a Dross carrier, before it dropped 4 fighters onto the moon.

Stellar Doom had returned.

"Great... just great."

Engine Room

-In the engine room, the figure turns off her cloaking device, revealing her to be suprise suprise Jean. She takes out a bomb, places it on the engine, and activates it.

Jean: Easy peasy.

-she heads out another corridor-

(Clarice seems to have been numbed by this enormous revelation. She heads over to the window herself.)

Clarice: Cipher... I mean, fuck, Cipher... I was just trying to help, make 'em tough, let 'em make something of themselves... I never thought...
