-Ilima is standing around here when he notices Sergey and Phaz-

Ilima: "Ah, hello, Phaz. Good to see you again."

Hae-Won: "Ah, nice to meet you, Alex."

"Ah, though, if you want my full name, it's Hae-Won Choi."

Route 2, Outside the Verdant Cavern

Sergey fidgeted around a bit

Sergey: "U-Um, h-he's here to support me morally... I'm here for my 1st trial."

Ilima: "Oh, apologies."

"At any rate, do you need a summary of how the trial will go?"

Route 2, Outside the Verdant Cavern

Sergey nodded nerously

Sergey: "A-Aye, please, s-sorry not used to this all."

Ilima: "No worries, I wouldn't expect you to know for certain."

"At any rate, the trial starts when you enter the area. For mine, you will need to defeat three Pokemon hidden in holes and then a Totem Pokemon."

"A warning though, that you cannot catch any Pokemon until the trial is over and if you leave the area, you'll need to restart it."

"At any rate, good luck and see you inside."

-He heads into the Cavern-

Sergey gulped a last time, holding Phaz hand a bit tighter before letting go and entering the cave.

News Report, which some people may catch

"...and lastly, Culverton Blake, operating president and VP Sales and Acquisitions of the controversial produce and, lately, technology company Best Berry, has announced a public discussion and interview session to be held at Malie City town hall. It is believed the meeting is an attempt to repair the company's PR in the wake of outrage over the revelation that the Fruit Friend, marketed by the company as a safe and easy to use AI assistant, contained code that would allow Best Berry access to the personal data of users. How Mr. Blake intends to salvage Best Berry's once saintly reputation after such a scandal remains to be seen, as are any other potential topics of discussion at the meeting."

Malie Town Hall, a bit later

(Sure enough, a contingent of Best Berry employees, led by Culverton Blake himself, are setting up the stage on which the company president will stand and address the audience cum interviewers, along with associated sound systems and projectors. So far, next to nobody other than Best Berry personnel has arrived.)

Alex: Hmmm... You [CHINESE] then?

Malie Town

-A certain Oran berry graphic pops up on Culverton's smart watch-

Oran OS: Heeeeello! How's it going?

Malie Town Hall

(Culverton grins at his watch.)

Culverton: Oh, it's going swimmingly! Best Berry will have reclaimed the trust of the Alolan public by the time this day is done, I'm sure of it!

Ace: "Hmm..."

-He pops into his ball.-

-As Sergey enters, he may see a dustcloud being kicked up near a burrow-

Hae-Won: "Oh, [Korean], actually."

Sam Laughlin: "Ah, excellent. Then we'll be able to put this whole mishap behind us."

-Maggie has come here and is in the audience-

Ace: <Yes, yes, you can change it. I'm sure I can find a stream on Shaun's laptop. Thankfully he left it here.>

Alex: ...Whoops.

Cogsworth: <You really should be more sensitive about your nationalities.>

Alex: I know, I know.

-to Hae-Won-

I'm [GERMAN] myself.

Malie City

Oran OS: That's great! Because if things didn't go well, they might make us get rid of me, and that wouldn't be good for any of us!

Hae-Won: "Ah, gotcha."

Route 2, Inside Verdant Cavern

Sergey: "So... this is Verdant Cav-"

He saw the dustcloud

Sergey: "I... see, lets check this out."

He quickly went to the burrow

-From out of the burrow, a Rattata leaps out at Sergey-

Route 2, Inside Verdant Cavern

Sergey quickly jumped back a bit, sending Magnus out

Magnus: <I HAVE ARRI- W-Wait... why are you wearing a maid outf->

In that moment the Rattata hit him

Magnus: <So be it then, you first!>

He got into a combat stance.

Malie Town Hall

Culverton: Oh, hush! Do you really think I'd let a little thing like the law obstruct our working relationship?

(Turning away from his watch, he leans into a microphone to address those gathered.)

Culverton: Well, hello there! As you are all most likely aware, I am Culverton Blake of the Best Berry company, here to address any concerns you may have about our recent activities!

-The Rattata, who is already ready for combat, tries to come at Magnus with a Hyper Fang-

-Maggie stays quiet for now to see if anyone else will chime in-

Route 2, Inside Verdant Cavern

The attack hit Magnus who staggered a bit back

Sergey: "Sucker Punch!"

Magnus: <Magnus says: Let the purge begin.>

And with that - rather corny - line he charged at the Rattata

-Ace continues to watch.-

-The Rattata, by virtue of being Dark-type, is not hurt too much by the Dark-type blow-

-But they continue trying to get in that Hyper Fang and try a Tail Whip after that-

Route 2, Inside Verdant Cavern

Just as the first one the second Hyper Fang hit as well, bringing Magnus quite low the Tail whip also hit him, lowering his defence.

Sergey: "Ngh... Drain Punch Magnus!"

Magnus: <With pleasure!>

And as such he charged again, this time with a Drain Punch.

Shaun: "Welp, here we go."

-He steps forward to the podium, only to be interupted by a loud crash as a massive Metagross leaps down in front of them.-

Totem!Metagross: <WHO DARES INTRUDE ON MY DOMAIN?>

Shaun: "Yo, you gonna move, or...?"

Metagross: <I MOVE FOR NO ONE! ENOUGH TALK! HAVE AT YOU!>

-Tsunami smirks. Shaun's Z-Ring and Waterium-Z glow slightly.-

Shaun: "With pleasure."

Tsunami: <Prepare to lose.>

-And with that, the Rattata goes down and Magnus presumably gets the damage he took back-
