-Gudrunn's own eyes widen-

Gudrunn: You... You...

-She starts backpeadaling-

Shaun: "Well, I have no reason to not believe you."

-To Maggie-

"Where are you? The center, the library, somewhere else?"

Maggie: "Oh, I'm at the Center. Feel free to come over here and such."

Shaun: "Oh, good. I was about to head back to pick up Ace and Tsunami."

-To Archer.-

"Maggie's at the Pokémon Center. She's happy to talk with you."

Malie City

-Paula grins, and puts her sunglasses on-

Paula: Hey, relax! I'm here to be friends. I could have gone with "you really are an eyesore" but I didn't, because we're friends now! You know what, friend, I think we should go check some books out, how's that sound? Part of me feels like we'll find something really interesting somewhere!

-She grips Gudrunn's arm and starts leading her along-

Malie

Archer: Thanks!

-he heads off for the Pokemon Center

Malie Library

-Gudrunn yelps and is dragged along-

Shaun: "See ya!"

-To Maggie-

"Well, he's on his way. If you need anything, I'll be there in my room. Bye!"

-To his Vulpines.-

Shaun: "Sushi?"

Jessica: <Yeah! You'll like that, Jamie.>

Jamie: <Sushi? Sounds yummy!>

-She picks out a book, and offers it to Gudrunn.-

Paula: Here, I think this is exactly what you might be interested in. A History Of Glitches, Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Abomination. It's a fun read, I can tell you that much.

-Gudrunn stammers but ultimately hesitantly opens the book-

-Paula grins and takes a seat-

Paula: I think you'll be really interested in something around page... 80-ish? Somewhere around there.

-She crosses her legs and waits.-

Maggie: "Okay!"

"Uh... wait, what did you want to talk to me about, exactly?"

-Mona groans-

-Gudrunn flips open the book to the specified page and starts reading-

Gudrunn: The Sorceror... The Kingdom Of... Calamity Alovye...

-she suddenly freezes up and gasps. Images start flooding her mind-

Gudrunn's Mind

-Gudrunn finds herself in a strange city with metal buildings decorated by magenta Tron Lines-

-She pushes herself through a crowd of Pokemon - mostly Dark types - and humans in strange but familiar clothing as other Pokemon fly overhead-

-She finally reaches an altar surrounded by people and Pokemon, in the middle a figure in a black-and-purple hooded robe flanked by a Hydregion, a Zororark, and a Spiritomb. The figure speaks to Gudrunn-

The Sorcerer Of The Warp: At last, we've finally returned... This has been a long time coming.

Gudrunn: W-We?

-Gudrunn notices the figure has long blue hair spilling out from their hood-

Wait... You're... You're...

-The figure pulls their hood back to reveal a woman identical to Gudrunn, who gives a malicious smirk-

The Sorcerer Sorceress: Good to be back, isn't it?

-A plume of Obscura and Glitchy energy erupts from the altar to the cackling of the Sorceress, followed by an unnatural, vaugely Skarmory-like shriek-

Reality

-Gudrunn screams loud enough to get people's attention, staggers to her knees, and clutches her head-

Thoughts?

-Notices the person with the long cape-

Are you a Dragon Tamer?

-While Gudrunn's attention has been... elsewhere, Paula has already slipped away.-

Maggie: "Uh... well... anything more specific you wanted to know other than 'they exist' and 'I'm part of them'?"

Dragon Tamer: "Yup. That I am. You... any particular kind of trainer? Something about you says 'Veteran', but I don't think you're old enough for that yet."

Tapu Village

-Slightly annoyed-

I'm 26... or rather, I will be this Monday. That's plenty old enough to be a Veteran, though I don't go by that designation.

Dragon Tamer: "Oh, sorry. Thought they were like 30 or something. I dunno. But, yeah, fair enough."

"Anyway, my name's Hae-Won. You?"

Shaun: "I'm tired of sitting here. We're heading to Tapu Village soon. The Ghost trial's down there, and I have a feeling the desert over there is hiding something.:

Ace: <Ghosts...wonder what that trial entails.>

Jessica: <Ooh, is it gonna be all kinds of spooky? Are we gonna have to bust out the proton packs and vacuums?>

Jamie: <Gho-ghosts?>

Shaun: "Oh, Ghost-types, like Gastlys and these Mimikyus. At least, I hope. I've heard about people encountering proper ghosts - both human and Mon."

-Jamie seems even more terrified.-

Tsunami: <Good job. -To Jamie- Don't worry kid, any ghosts we find will have to go through me.>

Shaun: "And I pity that poor soul."

-Jamie seems reassured. Jessica nuzzles him before moving away to keep their temperatures normal.-

Jessica: <Yeah! We'll protect you.>

-Jamie smiles.-

Lightning: <That does sound spooky, but I want to help.>

Shaun: "Oh? Sure, L. We can get some more uses out of this."

-He holds up his Pikanium.-

Shaun: "In any case, we need to rest. Let's get ready for bed."
