I wasn't exactly sure how a Wishiwashi would react to being licked by a cat, so...

-Beat nods and they approach the bubbles-

Titanium: What's wrong, sister? You look like you've seen a ghost.

Ludmilla: T-Titanium...

-The young man crosses his arms. Only now does Ludmilla notice the well-pressed suit the boy is wearing, a matte grey with a deep violet tie.-

Titanium: You at least have access to your vocalization processes, at least.

Ludmilla: B-but why are you...?

Titanium: What is THIS? You've learned how to string together sentences now! With a horrendous accent, anyway. Come, then, if you want to speak with me, do it the PROPER way.

Ludmilla: Why are you here?!

Titanium: See, that's not so hard, is it? I'm here to take you home, Wolfram.

-Ludmilla recoils at her old name coming from him.-

Ludmilla: You... you left me! Abandoned me in a frozen hole!

Titanium: That was a TEST, Wolfram. You should know by now that the Prefect tests everyone.

Ludmilla: I LOST THE CONCEPT OF TIME! I HAD TO FIGHT FOR WHAT LITTLE FOOD THERE WAS, AND WHEN I COULDN'T, I HAD TO EAT COTTON STUFFING! I HAD TO SLEEP WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT IF I PICKED THE WRONG SPOT, I'D LOSE A FOOT TO FROSTBITE!

-Titanium frowns.-

Titanium: Oh, poor poor Wolfram. Here, let me get out my World's Smallest Violin. I shall play a sad tune for you.

-Ludmilla looks about ready to tear out her brother's throat.-

-Another Wishiwashi leaps at them and immediately uses Water Gun.-

-The Wishiwashi faints as it is bitten.-

Ludmilla: My. Name. Is. Ludmilla.

-Titanium almost bursts out laughing at the mere thought.-

Titanium: LUDMILLA? Of all the things you decided to call yourself...

Ludmilla: Wrong. It's what my FATHER calls me.

-...-

-Titanium's mental voice goes cold.-

Titanium: Wolfram. We both know the rules of the School. There are no parents. There are no mothers and fathers. There is only us, the Faculty, and the Cause.

Ludmilla: I'm not PART of the School anymore. You ABANDONED me.

-Titanium has to calm himself with a deep breath.-

Titanium: It. Was. A. Test. One that you have apparently failed.

-The venomous bite at the end of his statement only serves to fuel Ludmilla's anger.-

Ludmilla: Then screw you, screw your tests, and screw the School. I'm NOT going back.

-The wind begins to grow irregular.-

Titanium: ... Fine then. It appears you can no longer be REASONED with.

-He pulls out a violet Pokeball. Ludmilla pulls out one of her more mundanely colored ones.-

Ludmilla: Come on, then.

VS. Subject 22 Titanium!

-There is an ominous silence.-

Lana: "HE APPEARS!"

-A massive Whishiwashi appears, and more Wishiwashi surround it, creating a School Wishiwashi.-

Yes, yes I know the concert is tomorrow, I'll have a song ready. Which is why today I'm heading out to the wild to contact my muse in peace. Now I'm gonna be turning my phone off after we're done talking so I don't have it ringing and distracting me.

-Pent breathed out slowly as he listened to the reply from the other end of the call-

Come on, you know I'm never off my game when it comes to keytar. And besides it's just the classics, the only new thing to the setlist is my solo. Now, can I get started in peace? ... Thank you.

-With that he deftly set his phone away, got out a timer and started trying to focus and flow on the natural quietness of the Route, away from the noise of the Trials and the city-

Beat: <...Well, crud.>

Soujin: "Uh... use Leer!"

Beat: <Mmm.>

-She tries giving the Totem Wishiwashi a Defense-lowering glare-

Route 6 Berry Fields

-Suddenly a female voice with a thick [GERMAN] accent booms out over the route-

???: Oi! You berry creeps aren't getting away with this one! Cogsworth, make me some scrap metal!

??? 2: <En garde!>

-A Klinklang charges in and starts Gear Grinding the robots-

Route 5

-Titanium sends out a Baltoy, while Ludmilla sends out Anastasia.-

Anastasia: <... Hm.>

Titanium: Psybeam.

-The Baltoy fires the Psybeam. Anastasia takes the brunt of the attack.-

Ludmilla: Anastasia, Razor Leaf!

Anastasia: <Actually, uh...>

Ludmilla: ?

Anastasia: <I've got, I dunno, a stronger move now...?>

Ludmilla: O... kay. Go ahead and use that! Show him what you've got!

Titanium: Why, for the love of the Cause, are you discussing with your Pokemon?

-Anastasia leaps into the air.-

Anastasia: <This is why.>

Anastasia used Stomp!

-The Steenee comes down onto the Baltoy with a crushing blow.-

Titanium: Ah. Self-Destruct.

-The Baltoy glows and detonates before Anastasia can put distance between it and her. The Grass-Type goes flying before Ludmilla can grab her with the recall beam.-

Ludmilla: Grrrr...

-The Wishiwashi's "eyes" glare at the pair. It then begins to speak in a deep, booming Voice of the Legion.-

Totem!Wishiwashi: <Well, we would say you were smart, but you sought to fight us...>

-It attacks with a Water Gun.-

-And with that Beat goes down-

-Soujin recalls her-

Soujin: "Hm..."

...Let's save Becky for later...

"Orlok!"

-He sends out the Golbat-

Orlok: <Hey, hey, we fighting the Totem! Let's go, then!>

-He rushes at the Wishiwashi with a Wing Attack-

Route 5

Titanium: Solrock.

Ludmilla: Go, Gelert!

-The solar stone and the rock puppy both take the field.-

Titanium: Oh, please.

Ludmilla: Gelert, Bite!

Titanium: Psychi-

-The Solrock flinches as the canine's canines dig into his mineral exterior.-

Titanium: ... I see what you're doing. Explosion.

Ludmilla: NO!

*brrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRTHOOOOOOOOM!*

-Gelert goes flying. Ludmilla quickly rushes to catch him. The puppy whimpers as Ludmilla recalls him.-

-Titanium can't help but gloat at the emotional pain, but...-

Titanium: ... ~What's this feeling...?~

-The area is markedly quiet as Ludmilla pulls out a nicked and scarred Pokeball. A sense of foreboding seeps from the earth itself.-

Titanium: ~No matter.~ Alakazam.

-The Psychic-Type takes the field, letting out a dominating presence.-

Titanium: I've seen your team, Wolfram. You've used nothing over the last week that can challenge my Alakazam now.

Ludmilla: ... Doomsday.

-Titanium blinks.-

Titanium: Pardo-

-Ludmilla throws the Pokeball, and releases a Chansey.-

-The Chansey says nothing at first, but the if looks could kill everything on the island would be struck down by Yveltal herself.-

Titanium: ... I-

Doomsday: You listen and you listen good, you pompous ass of a prepubescent child - I am going to turn your "almighty" Alakazam into dog food, then I'm going to rip out your undescended testicles and stitch them to the roof of your mouth.

Route 8, past

Chris: <Finally! It's been so long!>

She does a spin and launches waves of flame at the nearest robot.

Alana turns to face the newcomer.

".. Hello!"

-The combination of Revalvation Dance and Gear Grind cause one of the robots to be taken out of commission-

-Two others notice the commotion, however, and launch Psybeams at Chris and the Klinklang-

Stufful: <Huh? Wh-who are you?>

Route 5

Titanium: How DARE you talk to me like-!

Ludmilla: Double-Edge!

-The Chansey slams into the Alakazam.-

Doomsday: I DARE because all I see is a trumped up baby in a business suit, trying to play the logical adult. Oh, please. You could dress up a Mankey in that suit and he'd at LEAST get a bit of curious oggling, but you? The only thing you offer is PITY. You're PITIFUL.

-Titanium has officially lost all cognitive function. He mouth foams, his face is red, and spittle runs down his chin.-

Doomsday: All you are is a kid with the big idea of being a politician, with the emotional development... ironically, of a politician. So, good work on that, I suppose!

-Titanium's thoughts devolve into juvenile insults and half-started threats before he was slammed in the chest by his beaten and bruised Alakazam. While Doomsday was taunting him, she had delivered an unholy beating, which the Alakazam had no choice but to take, seeing as he wasn't receiving orders.-

Titanium: YOU... YOU...

Ludmilla: Titanium... Go. Leave. I'm never going back.

-Titanium throws the Pokemon, easily his size and weight, off of him.-

Titanium: YOU... will PAY... For turning your back on us... You think I'M the ONLY ONE?!

-He kicks the Alakazam square in the face.-

Titanium: GET US OUT OF HERE, YOU USELESS PILE OF MEAT!

*Blip!*

-...-

-Ludmilla falls to her knees before sitting back on her ankles. She didn't realize she was holding her breath.-

-The Wing Attack hits the Wishiwashi, knocking a few out of place before it reforms.-

-The Totem Wishiwashi, directing its hivemind of fish, attacks with an Ice Beam.-

-Pent is likely to find Ludmilla, exhausted and asleep, with a blanket covering her as she's leaned up against a tree. Doomsday, meanwhile, is keeping watch.-

Doomsday: <God I hate not-boring days.>

-Also, there are two craters, one large and the other larger.-

-Orlok tries to fly away, but gets struck by the beam of ice-

Soujin: "...Okay, I see what the others meant when they said this'd be tough."

Orlok: <Well, I'm still going for it!>

-He goes for another Wing Attack-

Route 5

-Pent looks at the sleeping cutie, then at the craters, then at Doomsday... Then back at the craters-

Uh... Huh... Was she doing psychic training..? Nevermind I'll ask in the morning.

Route 8 Berry Fields, Past

-What appears to be a pink-haired teenage girl with pigtails, forehead goggles, and a labcoat emerges from the berry trees, yelling loudly-

Girl: Get 'em Cogsworth! Tear 'em to shreds!

-Cogsworth is buffeted by the Psybeams but tears into the robots with Gear Grind, as the girl adresses the others-
