Lana: "But, yes, just head to Royal Avenue and you should be pretty close to it."

-the fursuited person jumps back at Joseph's sudden appearance-

Fursuit Person: Wah! What are you doing here?

Shaun: "Alright then. I might actually head down to Konikoni first, though. I know that's where I'll go for the Grand Trial, but I heard that there's some good shops there, especially for trainers."

Lana: "That there are. As long as you know where you're headed."

Route 5, yesterday

Fomantis: ...

-sighs-

<He was a Torterra named Alfor... He was a mighty battler who took wonderful care of me... But he was killed one day and now I just have this spot of land left...>

Locke: -blinks- ...You lost your dad too?

Shizuo: This must be some kind of huge J-Team get-together... But what for?

-meanwhile Robin is watching this on a nearby TV screen-

Shaun: "To the south, through Diglett Tunnel."

Ghostus: <Aaaand this is out of my area of knowledge, I'll leave you two to settle this, goodbye!>

-Ghostus starts to float off-

-Sholto and Clean Bandit are around-

Sholto: <Oh, hey, looks like another of these things are going on.>

Clean Bandit: <Yeah. Maybe I'll be able to get some stuff from here.>

Sholto: <...If you've gotta do it, can you not talk about it around me?>

Clean Bandit: <Fine, fine...>

-Joseph squawks in turn-

Joseph: What are you doing here? This isn't a furry convention!

-to the Fomantis, pulling out a Heal Ball-

...You want something better than this patch of grass?

Fomantis: <You... Want to take me with you?>

Locke: Yeah. Like I said, I know what it's like to lose your parents. And working with a Trainer will give you more chances to do your father proud than being stuck out here.

-The Fomantis thinks a bit, then nods.-

Fomantis: <Very well. I accept!>

-she taps the Pokeball, which sucks her in, wobbles three times, then clicks Locke sends her back out on his shoulder-

Locke: What should I call you?

Fomantis: <My father always called me Allura.>

Locke: That works.

Allura: <...Your ears look even weirder up close.>

-Locke sighs-

-Shizuo sees Sholto and approaches him-

Shizuo: Hey, you know what's going on here?

-Sholto sees Shizuo approaching and ask him a question-

Sholto: "Yup! This is J-Con. A convention about the fans of the Phone People!"
