-Suddenly, two screams-

...That's Locke and Gudrunn! They're in trouble!

-Shaun nods.-

Shaun: "Yeah, I was there. I was, what, eleven? I remember it screwing with my training a little; I saw bits and pieces on the news. That Tagg guy stopped it, though."

"Was he one of you?"

Beat: <...Wait, what?>

-She and Soujin rush in the direction the voice came from-

Maggie: "Oh, yeah, he's been on the team since the beginning. He's actually my boss too, in a research group we're a part of."

Shaun: "Research...intriguing. So new technologies and that sort of stuff?"

-Shizuo, Dynamo, and Bubble Buddy rush over as well and freeze in place-

-Menacing Locke and Gudrunn is an unusually large Nihilego-

Locke: Is that one of those Ultra Beasts?

Gudrunn: -backing away very quickly- I-I remember now! That's... That's the very same Ultra Beast that first dragged me through an Ultra Wormhole!

Nihilego: {I finally found you! I've spent who knows how long looking for you, human! And now that I've got you right where I want you...}

-dances-

{You're going to make me, Jelly Belly, a star!~}

Maggie: "Oh, more field research in our case. Observing specific Pokemon populations and that sort of thing."

Soujin: "...This one dragged you in? Sounds like one of the ones we can't understand too well..."

Beat: <Oh, great, I thought we were done with these things.>

-Beat Leers at Jelly Belly-

Shaun: "Hmm, cool. So you do Mon Censuses and that sort of thing?"

Brooklet Hill

-Dynamo joins in with a Thunderbolt, and Bubble Buddy shoots a Bubble Beam. Neither they or the leer phase Jelly Belly much, who starts firing Sludge Bombs-

-Gudrunn uses the distraction to send out Kass, while Locke sends out Kagura. Meanwhile, Shizuo is starting to lose his composure...-

-She goes in for a Fire Fang-

Soujin: -looking at Shizuo- "Uh..."

Shaun: "Nice. I actually ran into Tagg the other day. We were attacked by Ultra Beasts."

"Okay, yeah. What I'll say is don't worry, we'll get this under control. We can't make arms grow back, but we'll make sure things don't get any worse than that."

Shaun: "No, she told me. She's a Faller; it happened as soon as she arrived. Then we happened to run into the exact same Kartana."

-He pauses for a moment, then nods at Maggie.-

Shaun: "Good. You've done it before, you'll do it again. And here I am expecting my trip here to be normal..."

Slliuq: <Ha...>

Maggie: "Well, yeah, we're the J-Team. Things have a habit of not being mundane when we're around."

"Understandable how you might have wanted things to stay calmer, though."

-Shaun chuckles.-

Shaun: "No, I don't mind a bit of excitement. Just think there was a lot back in Sinnoh, ya know? Giratina, the aforementioned Twilight, et cetera. Guess I'll just have to be careful around you guys."

-Jelly Belly is bitten by Beat and tries to shake her off, leaving them open to a Iron Head from Kagura and a Steel Wing from Kass-

-Shizuo, however, recalls his mons and fumbles around for another-

Maggie: "Oh, well, that's good."

-Beat keeps hanging on with her jaws-

Soujin: "Hey, Shizuo? You okay?"

-Shaun yawns and stretches.-

Shaun: "Well, I should get going. See ya around."

"Oh wait! Let's exchange numbers. I'm not making that mistake again."

Maggie: "Oh, good idea."

-She gives her number to Shaun, Slliuq gives one as well-
