Sigh... it pains me to say as much, but I worry I may never see my beloved squire again. The human who caught me is a being of capricious interests and unconventional behavioural patterns, incapable of focusing on the task of finding Altair long enough to truly commit to it. My fellows within his team of Pokemon are a varied lot, but their dedication to such tasks is equally nonexistent.

(The Sliggoo suddenly feels his temper flaring. How dare she blame him for her decision to run away?)
Altair: <Better question, why did you constantly run ahead of me? I was waiting in Iki Town for a whole Arceusdamn week! Do you know how many random little kids tried to catch the rare Pokemon from another place? Do you know how much money the poor things must have wasted on Pokeballs I shattered? Do you->
Isbrand: <B-be quiet, please!>
(Altair stops dead. That wasn't the tone of someone vindictive; it was the tone of someone trying as hard as they could not to break down crying from sheer joy.)
Isbrand: <Oh, such a glorious moment this is! Finally, after I was so strongly convinced our time as companions was at its end, you have returned to rekindle the flames of our fellowship! We must find my trainer at once!>
(Altair takes a moment to respond.)
Altair: <...it's nice to see you again, too. Sorry about->
Isbrand: <Oh, no need for simpering apologies! A truly heroic adventurer forgives her companions for moments in which their temper justifiably overwhelms them!>
(Altair grins. It's moments like this that remind him why he considers Isbrand a friend.)
Altair: <So, this Trainer you've found. Where is he?>
Isbrand: <Enjoying the relaxing rustic atmosphere of Iki Town, of course! Come - I promised I would regale him and his companions with tales of the Dread Mistress's villainy!>
Iki Town, a bit later
(A summer shower is passing over the little town where Island Challenges begin by the time Isbrand and Altair run/slither back. Alex is sitting next to a palm tree, utterly unfazed by the weather and apparently no more surprised by the arrival of a Sliggoo he's never seen before.)
Alex: Oh, hey, Isbrand. This must be that squire you keep talking about.
Isbrand: <Indeed he is! Altair, I shall give you the honour of introducing yourself!>
(Altair pauses. When it comes to self-promotion, Isbrand is better than him by a factor of several billion; he can barely come up with anything more concrete or descriptive than "I'm a Sliggoo".)
(He stands there for a minute or so. The rain is now pouring down, seeping into the slug-dragon's amorphous body.)
Isbrand: <...well then. As my squire seems to have been struck with a terminal case of shyness, I shall simply have to->
(Altair still can't see, but the sudden stunned silence hits with enough force to register on all four of his other senses. Unaware of the glow slowly starting to cover his body, he shoots a nonplussed look in what he hopes is the direction of Alex or Isbrand.)
Altair: <What?>
Tastes better on the way back down.
-After a bit, a Rattata jumps out of a burrow-
Rattata: <Now taste my wrath!>
-They go in for a Bite-
Hajime: "Uh..."
"That way, I think?"
-He points somewhere at the beach, probably near where Ever was accosted by Bracken Estoc-

You can only chain Status Moves that raise your own stats (and just to state those only work on the turn you chained rather than if you had spent a whole turn to do it)
