Lilac looks dead in Custard's eyes. "I have heard tales of a warrior in the distant past, clad in dragon scales, name reminiscent of the break of day, and you remind me of her. Maybe the legend is true! You are the dragon fated to vanquish a great evil! I... am not positive what that evil is... But the stories say you are important!"

-Custard's eyes widen-

Custard: <Do you mean that?>

Narrow: -nervous two-step- <Please don't get her hopes up.>

Forte: So uh, which way do we go from—

-Forte is interrupted by a girl flying past them, smacking them upside the head-

Fortis: Piano, look! I caught a dancer birdie!

Forte: Ow!

-Mezzo just starts laughing-

Forte: Hey, what?

Mezzo: The prediction came true. You did get smacked upside the head by your sister!

Forte: Uugh...

-Fortis holds up her Oricorio-

Fortis: Isn't she pretty?

Oricorio♀: <So uh, how am I supposed to perform if you won't put me down?>

Mezzo: She looks kinda like whats-her-name from Last Legend... Lillisette I think.

Oricorio♀ who is now named Lillisette: <Ooh, I like that name. Sounds elegant.>

Fortis: You want that to be your name? Okay!

Lilac nods sagely. "Of course, you will need more training before that day comes, if you are to stand a chance."

-Botox is admiring herself in a handmirror-

Iki Town, Shaun's Grand Trial

(The Crabrawler barely reacts to the Leech Seed.)

Crabrawler: <Your pretty flowers won't protect you much longer.>

Custard: <I'll do what it takes! I'm not going to fail!>

Narrow: <Oh dear.>

Ever: ...So, uh, you just came here to meet the dragon I ended up bringing right to you? That's weirdly convenient.

-A certain Venomoth flies by when she spies Botox looking at herself-

Even with the little bit of energy from the Leech Seed and her natural resistance, the punch is too much for Ruby.

Shaun: "Damnit!"

Jessica: <Looks like I'm gonna bring the heat!>

Shaun: "Jess, give it everything you got!"

Jessica: <You got it, boss!>

(Having punched a hole in her own defenses with Close Combat, the Crabrawler is hit hard by Jessica's Flamethrower, but hangs on with her HP in the red.)

Crabrawler: <Ngggh... no! I won't let myself lose!>

(Cue an absolute hailstorm of hard, fast claws.)

Lilac laughs. "My dear Cole! There are no coincidences in this world or any other. Why do you think I brought you here, dearie? By the way, you have officially fulfilled the debt you owe me~"

Ever: Hm. That should probably concern me, but I also really need to get to the other islands.

Narrow: -sighs-

-Ever, meanwhile, gets onto the boat-

Custard: <...So, um, can you put me down?>

Jessica is basically launched by each punch, her body getting covered with bruises and cuts. She limps to her feet, almost unconcious.

Jessica: <I-is that all y-you got? I've se-seen Pidgeys hit har-harder than you.>

Shaun: "Jess! Hang on! You can do it! Use Ember!"

< Al-alright.> Jessica gathered all of her strength and launched a small flame at the Crabrawler.

Lilac: -just grabs Custard and bolts-

Lilac smiles and places Custard back down, patting her head. "Well, as I mentioned, this trip is free, but subsequent trips will require payment, I'm afraid. I am a businesswoman after all~ Though, you strike me as an industrious fellow, I'm sure you'll find a way where you need to go~"

-Botox turns to the Venomoth-

Botox: <Why yes, why wouldn't I?>

Ever: With any luck I'll eventually be able to get between islands without requiring supernatural assistance, yeah...

Narrow: <I'm quite certain you've sold your soul seven times in this conversation alone. Eventually would not be my concern if I were you.>

Venomous: <Uh... I guess if you were one of those people who wasn't fond of how they looked?>

Custard is precious and pure.

Lilac gives a toothy grin. "Supernatural, dear? I have given nothing but mundane help in ferrying you, of course~ Though I do suppose there are many stories of supernatural ferrymen, most involve a passage from one world to another, not from such mundane places as this."

Iki Town, Hala's Grand Trial

(The Ember is enough to send the severely weakened Crabrawler toppling forwards onto her face.)

Hala: Wahahaha! Well done, young challenger - you just defeated your first Island Kahuna! But before we officially register your victory, let's see about your Vulpix...

(He hands Shaun a set of healing items from inside his coat pocket.)
