-she throws out her own Pokéball-

Jenna: Don't focus on him, just teach this Swellow Heat Wave.

Iris: <...Understood.>

-Iris flaps her wings a few times-

Jenna: Now watch what Iris is doing. You see how she's gathering hot air under her wings? Okay... now!

-Iris releases the stored energy, throwing out a gust of hot air with all six wings-

Jenna: Now you only have two wings instead of six, but it's really the same principle. Go on, try it.

Tyto: -To Muddy- <Why are they looking at Tagg like he smashed their entire clutch?>

Muddy: <It's a long story.>

Ann: Okay Hirunda, use Heat Wave!

Hirunda: -Gathers heat beneath her wings, before releasing a gust of hot air that slightly singes my hat- <Oops.>

He nearly finished his steak. Embry did finish a long time before. Takumi is eating the last berries.

Phaz: ... We could do that one day, either for Hoenn or Unova. That could be interesting.

-Ricin curls up into a wheel-shaped ball and starts rolling around-

-Well, I don't know what took him so long, but Vierr is finally in Hau'oli City. Currently, he's browsing the Tourist Bureau, looking for information.-

-Vierr blinks, and turns around to see someone leaning uncomfortably close to him with a gigantic, unnerving smile on her face.-

Girl: You wanted to know about Z-Moves, yes?

Vierr: Er, yes, that's what I'm— pbtbthbhbth.

-He sputters as the girl stuffs the corner of a pamphlet into his mouth and runs off. Somewhat annoyed, he spits out the pamphlet and opens it up.-

Vierr: ...She could have just told me. "Hello, you should try looking for..."

-He glances over it.-

Vierr: "...Kahuna Hala!" Gee, thanks, mystery girl, good to know! How helpful.

Hau'oli City

Muninn: <Junior trainers. I'm going to track her down and rip out her kidneys myself, I swear to Palkia...>

Narrow: <What's that?>

Muninn: <What's what?>

Narrow: <I heard you muttering something.>

Muninn: <That's obviously false.>

Narrow: <Why is it obviously false?>

Muninn: <Well, I wasn't muttering anything. So if you say you heard something, you're lying. Why are you lying to me, Narrow?>

Narrow: <I'm confused.>

Muninn: <That's fair, but don't do it aga—>

Muninn: <WHERE DID YOU EVEN COME FROM?!>

Pleth: <Ever said not to let you play any mindgames with the newbies.>

Muninn: <That doesn't answer my question.>

Pleth: <I'm always watching.>

-she winks at Muninn and disappears-

Phaz is looking around a bit, after taking the moment of the Pokemon Center.

Volta: >What are you looking for?

Phaz: Oh, no real goal. Though I should probably look for stuff for the expedition...

Volta: >What would be useful?

Phaz: Uh... Search for hiking material, food, and more generally medicaments. We'll probably need to worry about unknown bacterias.

Takumi: <Wait, what's the deal?>

Phaz: Imagine a place where there is Pokemons but they're totally different and they're not called Pokemon but Ultra Beasts. That's where we're going at the end of the week.

Takumi: <Does a place in this world even exist in this world?>

Phaz: It's a different universe, so no.

Takumi: <Okay, one. Is it a joke? And two, assuming what you said is true, don't you worry about people thinking you are crazy?>

Phaz: Answer one: yes it's real, sorry about the things going on; and answer two: I don't worry about this. Every time you talk about something incredible or out of the ordinary, anyone assume you're talking about games, or something like that. So yeah, no crazyness.

He stops

Takumi: <What do you mean by maybe ?!>

Phaz: Stuff happened. Weird stuff.

Takumi: <Like what ?>

Phaz: at the cashier Well, there was this one time in Sinnoh's Old Chateau...

Takumi: <Never heard of it.>

Phaz: paying Here. To Takumi Nice place. Bit sinister. Full of ghosts.

Cashier: Here's the change, have a nice day!

Phaz: taking the change Thanks, you too! To Takumi Resuming... Yeah, so we found this Glitch in real life with Ark, a nice girl that we met earlier, tried to banish it (the glitch, not Ark), failed, he possessed half the Chateau, we fought the whole structure, and won.

Takumi: <...What.>

Phaz: There's also this time we were in Jubilife City, we fought glitches again, this time with Sergei, a cool guy, this one was two hiveminds that were possessing peoples and peoplemons and transforming them into what I called Mega Glitchzard X and Mega Glitchzard Y. It was like a status, though, so a bunch of guys that I don't know found the cure, and we helped taking off the threat, then Alyesha that we ate with earlier invited us for curing her.

Takumi: <...What did I put myself into...>

Phaz: Deep stuff. Weird things happens to us a lot.

-Locke is here, staring out the window with Kurow at his side-

Kurow: <Wow, all that stuff you found out sounded... Pretty intense, man.>

Locke: -doesn't understand him, but gets the gist of it and sighs- To think everything I knew about my parents was wrong... I mean, immortality? Associating with this J-Team? Is this why they left? Is this why they abandoned me?

Kurow: -nuzzles- <Hey, don't jump to conclusions. We're still tight. The rest of the team is still by your side. Hey, your parents might still even care even though they're off in that pocket dimension.>

-Locke, sadly, still does not hear him-

Locke: I mean... Is my memory lying to me?

Outskirts of Fortree, 20 years ago

Welcome to the first musical number of Operation Legacy, where I must warn the subject matter and the song choice are a bit heavy.

When they both loved me

Everything was beautiful

Every hour spent together

Lives within my heart

-A young Locke is riding a familiar man's shoulders below a large Fortree treehouse-

5-year-old!Locke: Faster, daddy!

Joseph: OK! Woooosh!

Lina:

And when I was sad

They were there to dry my tears

And when they were happy so was I

When they loved me

-Five years later, Locke enters the house teary-eyed and with a mark on his face, crying, much to the concern of his parents-

Lina: Alright, who do I need to beat up at your school?

Joseph: Dear!

10-Year-Old!Locke: I-it wasn't a person! -sniffle- A Tailow pecked me when I tried to catch it!

Joseph: Well, you'll have to get the best of that Tailow somehow...

:Lina: -hands Locke money- Go buy some Great Balls and show them who's boss.

10-year-old!Locke: -looks at the money then grins at his parents- Thanks, mom!

-heads off-

Through the summer and the fall

We had each other that was all

Just they and I together

-A few months pass; Locke is staring out the window, forlorn-

Lina: Still thinking about that Tailow, honey?

10-year-old!Locke: Yeah...

10-year-old!Locke: I hope so...

So the years went by

They stayed the same

But I began to drift away

-Locke has gotten into an argument with his parents-

15-Year-Old!Locke: You two don't really love me! You keep embarrassing me and trying to mold me into what you want instead of what I want!

Lina: Honey, we-

15-Year-Old!Locke: Let me guess. You're going to say you're doing thee things out of love?

Joseph: We were ne-

15-Year-Old!Locke: Ugh. Denial. I wish you two would just... Go away.

-he storms off as his parents sigh-

I was left alone

Still I waited for the day

When they'd say I will always love you

-a couple months later, Locke, in a much better mood, runs up to his house tightly clutching a Great Ball-

15-Year-Old!Locke: Mom! Dad! It took five frigging years but I finally caught that Tailo-

-He stops to see that not only his parents but their whole house has completely vanished-

...Mom? Dad?

Lonely and forgotten

Never thought they'd look my way

And they'd smiled at me and held me

Just like they used to do

Like they loved me

When they loved me

-Locke and his newly-obtained Tailow are running around the city of Fortree, looking for his parents-

15-Year-Old!Locke: Excuse me, have you seen a man with black hair and a woman with bright red hair together anywhere around here? They look like this? -holds up a photo-

Bystander: I haven't seen them anywhere.

Tailow!Kurow: <I don't see them either...>

-Locke is sitting at the Fortree outskirts in the middle of the night-

15-Year-Old!Locke: I'm not going to cry... I'm too much of an adult to cry, I'm o much of a man to... too..

-He starts sobbing softly into his arms, Tailow!Kurow nuzzling him reassuringly-

Present

-Locke is now gazing emptily out the window instead of crying, but Kurow is still nuzzling him reassuringly-

Kurow: <Just stay calm... You'll figure this out, I've known you long enough to know.>

Locke: -sighs- Well, Kurow, at least all these baffling revalations have given us one good thing...

...Hope.

Thoughts?

Shaun: "I'm gonna do the island challenges, too. I actually did my first trial yesterday. Best to pace myself, though. Wouldn't want to blow through them all in a week."

Sky: I was certainly aiming for the feels with that one, so that pleases me~

Route 1, now

-After a stressful last few days, Locke is standing around playing Fire Emblem Heroes to cheer himself up-

Zachary comes out of a nearby bush looking dirty and tired with Nack sleeping on his shoulders.

Zachary: "Oookay...I think we may have just made it to Iki Town!"

Nack suddenly wakes up and starts hitting Zachary in the head with his petal hands, doing little damage.

Nack: <Just NOW we made it to Iki Town!? The map made it seem so close!>

Zachary: "I'm sorry, okay? Alola's Route 1 is way bigger and more complicated than it first seems...and besides, I think I was holding the map upside down...."

Nack: <Ugghh, why are we here anyways, that Hau'oli City place looked really nice!>

Zachary: "I heard this is where the Island's..."Kahuna" resides? I thought he might help me get on the right track for finding the others at the very least."

Nack: <What does this Kahuna look like then?>

Zachary: "Uuhh...I don't know, the people at Hau'oli just told me he looked like a Kahuna."

Nack: *sigh* <Why, that's awfully vague>

Zachary looks around for Hala in Iki Town, he may be interacted with as he does so.

Zachary is still looking around until Nack notices Locke and peeves Zachary, getting his attention and making him notice Locke.

Zachary: "Oh, hello there! I'm sorry, I'm kinda new here...sort of, it's very complicated but I'm pretty much lost."

Nack: <Psst, hey, do you think he's the Kahuna?>

Zachary then looks back at his map for a moment and then starts looking at Locke on closer inspection.

Zachary: "Hmm...on a scale of 1/10 how much would you say you looked like a Kahuna?"

Nack only facepalms as he buries his face in Zachary's hair.

Zachary: "Oookay lemme try that again, EHEM, do you happen to be the Kahuna? And if you're not, would you pleeeease tell me who and where they are?"

Nack: <Aw, that was actually good! I wanted to laugh at you a little more!>

Zachary, while still staring at Locke grabs Nack and covers his mouth.

Locke: Well, I'm not the Kahuna. That's Hala, kind of heavyset old man in yellow. He's probably-

-he notices something on his game-

Hey, I summoned Robin! That's the one Hero I wanted most!

-he furrows his brow-

...Granted, he's only four stars, but enough Hero Feathers and Great Badges should fix that up in no ti-

-Locke stares, then holds the phone up to Zackary-

Locke: Okay, a couple questions for you now: Do you play this game and is it supposed to do this?
