(Tagg's Aura Sense is indeed even more busted than conventional sight. The only thing detectable, in every direction at once, is a chaotic jumble of Glitched life signs that seem to emanate from the fog itself. Voices still carry through the cloying haze, though - such as that of Volkner, who rushed far enough ahead that he's no longer visible.)
Volkner: The city's...

(On the plus side, Sunyshore is recognisably itself, but there's something subtly, unsettlingly off about every aspect of the place. The rustic little houses with their distinctive crenelated roofs are present and accounted for, but they appear drained of colour and vitality, as does the rocky ground surrounding them. The sky is covered by that same ever-present glitchy fog, which also blocks visibility past the outcropping on which the J-Team are standing; as a result, the city's trademark solar panel bridges seem to be trailing off into the void. Everything is covered in a strange glittering film, almost resembling spider silk, which disintegrates into plumes of flickering smoke as the party tread through it. Aura Sense will bring up nothing but a throbbing mental static; for Hearts of Gold, the entire city radiates waves of tension and paranoia with no discernible source. Visible in glowing silhouette, as though its high outcropping were transformed by the Glitch into Mount Olympus, is the Gym, looming on the horizon as though daring the intruders to try and get there.)
Volkner: Well, uh... home sweet home, I suppose?

-Pent visibly shivers as he takes in the just clearly off view in front of the party-
Voidular and twisting, the piece here is home.
It's... Vaguely impressive... Any unaccounted for citizens we should try and rescue before heading for the clearly telegraphed boss fight..?
I hear your heart beat to the beat of panic. Flee or fight?
-He focuses and concentrates... Before cringing heavily-
Can you hear the Slip here? It feels muffled to you.
This... Film over everything, it's glowing or something. Nothing's casting a shadow I can use... Should of brought the Shadowsplat rig...

-Jason walks out of the Gym, badge in hand-
Jason:Well...that was easy.
Senshi:<Says you. You weren't the one throwing Focus Blasts everywhere.>
Jason:Hey, it worked, didn't it?
<Aye, it did. It did.>
-Beat-
Jason:...Sen, was that...
Senshi:<Y...Yeah...>
-On the outskirts of the city, Jason finds himself surrounded by a large stone wall-
-Three heads poke out of the ground-
Shadow!Gnome: <Aye. Aye!>

Jason:-lowering his stance-Wish I could say the same...

Shadow!Gnome: <Awe, cammon, na. Yereally think we'd wanna be killin' ye?>
<Killin' instinct gets roight thin spread b'tween three people, don'it?>
<Aye. It does! It does!>
-A hail of stalagmites rains down at Jason, who yelps, rolling forward and barely missing quite a nasty bit of impalement-
Jason:THEN WHAT WAS THAT?!
Shadow!Gnome: <Wot, Ah said it was thin, not nonexistin'>
<Aye! We cannae help it, lad. I mean, we're technically monster, but at least we're still somewhat civil.>

*Sniff sniff*
-Ludmilla blinks her eyes open, her vision still blurry with tiredness.-
*Sniff sniff*
-Her nose twitches as something wafts into her room from outside.-
*Sniff sniff*
-It smelled gooooooooood.-
*Sniff sniff*
-Ludmilla pulls herself out of bed, still clutching onto the small stuffed Pichu that Dune had gotten her earlier in the month. We shuffles past the other bedrooms before turning into the kitchen. What she sees absolutely blows her mind.-
*Sniff sniff*
-Food, absolutely everywhere, in various forms of preparation. Pie crusts being mixed, berry sauces being chilled, stuffing being measured, and - most importantly of all - a massive poultry was sitting in the oven.-
-Wrapped in bacon.-
-Ludmilla stares at the amazingly enticing ensemble with absolute enrapturement. She reaches towards the oven door before a spatula slaps her hand away.-
Champloo: ~Uh uh uh, no touching. This bird has at LEAST eight more hours to go.~
-Ludmilla frowns. Champloo rolls his eyes and hands her a cinnamon roll, which immediately returns the smile to her face.-
Champloo: ~Now, off you go. This is gonna get crazier before it gets sane.~
-Ludmilla, still in her pajamas, makes her way out of the kitchen, gnawing on the light, crusty roll.-

Sergey looked around, still unnerved, this indeed was something quite new for him. He squeezed Mireille's hand who only pat him on the shoulder reassuringly.
Mireille: ~There, there, all is going to be alright, don't be scared.~
Sergey nodded lightly, looking around, getting a bit braver he tried touching somehing with this spider-silk-y substance.

-Dune fiddles with a small envelope in his hands. Deziree pats him on the shoulder.-
Deziree: Calm down, Dune. You'll do just fine. We'll do fine.
-Dune just takes a deep breath to work out his nerves as Ludmilla comes into the family room. The young woman is hugging herself, apparently really enjoying her new sweater.-
Dune: Hey, Ludmilla. I got something important for you.
Ludmilla: Huh?
-He kneels down and hands the envelope over. Ludmilla takes a second to look it over before biting the corner and ripping the end off. A card falls out of the envelope.-
Ludmilla: ?
-Picking the card up, the most striking feature to draw Ludmilla's attention being a picture of herself prominently in the corner. Looking over the rest of the card in no particular order, she read some of the things listed on it.-
-Natural Eye Color: Violet-
-Natural Hair Color: Black-
-Height: 1.35 Meters-
-Age: Approx. 11 Years-
-Name: Ludmilla Wolfram Galvani-Morton
-Blood Type: B+-
-Oh, that's what Doomsday was doing with that needwaitwaitwaitholdon.-
-Name: Ludmilla Wolfram Galvani-Morton-
-Ludmilla's heart skips a beat. She looks up and sees Dune and Deziree's faces and the smiles plastered on them. Her mind blanks a little at the implications.-
-She... she had their last name. Both of them. So... she's... family. That thought was a lot bigger than she thought it would be.-
-All of the thoughts, emotions, and surprise starts to overwhelm her. Tears start building in her eyes, and her breathes start coming up short. Deziree starts looking concerned, but Dune is all too familiar with what's happening. He opens his arms, and Ludmilla runs into them, clutching and hugging with hard desperation that this, all of this, wasn't just a dream.-
Pyrite Town.
-With a !FLASH!, Ren and his team appear alongside the Mod Vehicle. Rio is holding two Incubators. Ren recalls his extra teleporters as Gamma integrates with the Mod Vehicle's controls. -Ren: -While Lowering the hatch for Kitsune's compartment- I hope Champloo won't mind me bringing an extra dessert.
Kitsune: <Well considering he forgot to make dessert for the rest of the group on The Stormchaser the year we had the group over for Thanksgiving...>
Ren: <Point. But yeah that probably one of the worst stain on his record in recent years.>
-Rio has care fully climbed into the passenger seat with the incubators while Ren nd Kitsune have their exchange.-
Ren: -To Rio, while climbing into the driver seat.- The eggs still safe?
Rio: <Yes. Their auras are perfectly normal for this stage of development.>
Ren: Excellent. Gamma set a course for the Galvani-Morton house, if you'd please.
Gamma: -Appearing on a video screen- Already done, Master Ren.
Ren: Excellent. I'm activating the auto-pilot, Gamma.
Gamma: Affirmative, Master Ren.
-The Mod Vehile levitates and carefully navigates out of Pyrite before the Galvani-enhanced anti-gravs push the Mod vehicle across the desert towards the group's friends' house.-
Ren: Gamma, mind playing some appropriate music?
Gamma: Affirmative.

(Pent's question is the one that catches Volkner's attention.)
Volkner: You suggesting we check the houses before moving on?
(Nothing in particular happens when Sergey touches the gossamer. After all, it's been in contact with his feet already, so if touching it had negative effects he would long since have succumbed to them, as would everyone else. All Sergey's finger does is send another little plume of the stuff drifting through the air.)
(Alex, who had been lagging behind the group, finally catches up. He's moving slowly and carefully, glancing from side to side as though taking in the sights without a hint of anxiety. A significantly nervier Svavel is pacing by his side.)

-A stream of sand erupts near the lone building sitting on the ridge, the Pyrite Town commons in the distance a mile or so off. As the vehicle approaches, the source of the sand geyser becomes apparent.-
Terracotta: <Ah... ah... ACHOO!>
-This latest geyser dwarfs the last few.-
Terracotta: <Buh... don' like da smell ah cooked meat...>
-The Hippowdon tries to bury herself in the sand to get away from the smell. The shiny Golurk standing nearby pats his companion.-
