Ashen: ~Well, the J-team is in town after the... uh... incident Monday. You could probably go talk to someone and see when they're planning to leave.~

Etran: Alright. If I see someone, I'll ask.

Malice: <Fine, I'll do it. For you, Etran, not for them.>

Ama: Unfortunately, unless you particularly want to help us out with dealing with whatever's going on there, that may be the case. I don't blame you if you don't want to, though, it's pretty risky.

Chudona Village

-Lillianna looks around at the damage.-

Lillianna: ...Nidhogg did quite the number on this place, it looks like.

-She starts looking around to find Zoya-

Chundona Village

Mary:I have a feeling it could have been a lot worse...especially if I hadn't stepped in.

"Count me on it!" Said Samson, decisively

"What?!" Asked Diana, incredulous

"Hey, you won't get a chance like this every day!" he said, grinning

"I... I can't believe you." Diana sighed, bringing her hand to her forehead

"<I was waiting for it,>" said Aegir.

"<No sense of self-preservation huh...>" Soleil giggled.

Chudona village

Valerie looks around.

"Well....at least it's not completely destroyed. That's something, right?"

Ashen: ~Good, we'll probably need all the help we can get.~

Chundona Village

-Alyona hides behind Mary a little bit-

-Lillianna would find Zoya with her Mamoswine helping shore up one of the walls of the town hall-

"Oh, it's you all. Sorry about this. We generally don't have.... dragon... attacks. You all alright?"

Jubilife City

-Ama blinks-

Ama: Wait, really?

Ellen: That was a quick decision. Frighteningly quick. You do realize how dangerous this is, yes?

Chundona Village

Lillianna: Yes, we're fine. We don't exactly have happy news, though.

Iri Manor

-Rose is sprawled out gracelessly on the couch, asleep.-

-The sound of wordless syllables whispering like static stirs her awake, however.-

Rose: Nng... what's going on...

-She blinks awake, and bolts upright upon noticing a figure standing in front of her, circled by a thin swarm of Unown. Some of the slower ones are noticeably comprised of multiple Unown, fused together in a manner that Mezzo, Aero, Venomous, Wirrbelle, and Samus would hypothetically recognize, mostly in small clumps of two or three.-

Rose: Wh-what? What the hell are you doing here?

-The figure chuckles-

Paula: Oh, it's only me, you've got no reason to fear.

Rose: ...You didn't answer my question. I said why, not who.

Paula: Ah, yes, why. I'm simply doing what I must do.

-Rose blinks, and narrows her eyes.-

Rose: ...Why are you talking like that?

Paula: Like what?

Rose: You're rhyming.

Paula: Oh, that! I was hoping to make that subtle, I really am trying.

-She sits down next to Rose, putting an arm uncomfortably around her shoulder.-

Paula: I'd only come back for rap battles, so I'm bending the rules a bit.

-She chuckles-

Paula: You know how it is, with all the rules-lawyering and shit.

Rose: Well, too bad. I'm not fighting you, no matter how many "rules" you've bent.

Paula: Aha! That's the other part of the rule, now it's an argument!

-She forcefully turns Rose around to look at her.-

Paula: Now we can talk business. To put it simply, you're a disgrace.
You've spent literal years all cooped up in this place!
What's the point of having my body if you're not going to do stuff?
I've watched you wasting time, and honestly, I've had enough.

I mean, seriously, you've got a team, right? At least Domino's in your lineup!
Go out and battle! Follow the J-Team or something! Just get up!

-Annoyed, Rose stands up immediately-

Rose: Fine, I'm up! Just leave me alone to do stuff alone!

Paula: Oh, good! I thought I was going to take back that body I loaned.

Rose: ...You can't do that... you're not able to, right?

-Paula smiles. And giggles. And then cackles.-

Paula: There's this glitch going around. I just might.

-She keeps laughing, and suddenly, the Unown swarm again. The whispering gets louder, more cacophonous, more unstable...-

-And Rose bolts awake again, sweating.-

Rose: ...I-It... was just a dream. Just a fucking dream.

-She mutters various colorful profanities under her breath as she gets up again.-

"Sure do." Samson grinned

"Sure doesn't." Diana sighed. "I can't believe you're gonna drag me into this crazy business."

"Nobody asked you to come along." Samson shrugged

"Somebody needs to make sure you come back alive." Diana frowned

"<I think that's my job.>" said Aegir

"<Oh that applies to you too, don't worry.>" Soleil snickered

Chundona Village

Zoya: "I never get good news." -She sighs-

"So what is it?"

Chundona Village

Lillianna: Well, as it turns out, that unfriendly group that made base nearby is none other than Cipher. I'm not sure if you'd be aware of them but they're an awful, awful organization hell-bent on terror and horrifically traumatizing Pokemon into existing for the sole purpose of fighting, particularly for them. And they want to do exactly that to that dragon that just wreaked havoc on this town. Among other things.

Jubilife City

-Ama sweatdrops-

Ama: Great, now I'm responsible for getting you kids into dangerous—

-Beat-

-They suddenly get very flustered.-

Ama: I can't believe I just called you "you kids". I'm only nineteen I barely feel like an adult holy shit

-It has a card on it!-

-It's addressed to A. & S. van Helsing, R. Leonid, A. Daedalic, and B., Markgraf von Raukov.-

-The from line reads "The Sybilline."-

Ashen: <... Now I'm confused.>

-She opens the card. The letters look like gold leaf.-

Ashen: <Sybilline... Sybil... Greek mythological prophetess... Gold... Holy fuck, Cassandra.>

-Ashen opens the box. Enclosed is a greatsword, the blade a snapshot of the cosmos. Pure black with pinpricks of light as if stars.-

Ashen: <... Huh.>

Despite everything that was going on, Samson and Diana couldn't help but snicker a little upon hearing Ama's age crisis

"So, when are we leaving?" asked Samson

"If we're gonna get involved, might as well try to leave as prepared as possible..." said Diana, still looking a little hesitant.

Chundona

-Zoya is very quiet-

"... We're in no position to drive them off but mark my words we'll teach them to attack our home once we've rebuilt."

"... Thank you, offlander. I appreciate it. Did you find out anything else? Why they're here?"

Chundona Village

Lillianna: They want to find something called the Eyes of Nidhogg. A pair of purified Dragon Gems, apparently. They think a Celebi took one and they're looking for that as well. And they want to drive you all off the island in the process.

Jubilife City

Ama: At this point, we're not sure. The airship needs a lot of repairs.

Ellen: Did we mention the J-Team has an airship?

Ama: Mom please don't encourage them

-The trio turns and walks away in the direction of the Stormchaser.-

-Dune paces back and forth as Deziree goes over the papers, absolutely befuddled. Ludmilla, meanwhile, is out with Selene for some lunch.-

Deziree: Dune... this is crazy!

Dune: I know that.

Deziree: We barely have a house!

Dune: I know that.

Deziree: I don't know how we could make this work!

Dune: I... I don't know either, okay? But we can't just let them take her and treat her like she's some sort of criminal.

Deziree: Dune, we already had this talk! When we got married, we said: "No kids until we get a house, decent income, and personal security." We've got, maybe, one and a half of those points!

Dune: I know that part! But...

Deziree: But what?

-Dune slams his hands onto the table, making Deziree jump.-

Dune: We're all she has! We're the only ones looking out for her, okay?! I'm not gonna just leave her to the wolves because I'm too weak to be there when my parents weren't!

-Deziree blinks. She gets up and moves to Dune's side.-

Deziree: Alright, Dune. Let's see if we can't do what we do best and scrap a plan together, and see if we can't adopt ourselves a daughter.

-She takes off Dune's goggles, wipes the tears from his eyes, and kisses him on the cheek.-

Chundona Village

Zoya: "..."

-Alyona twitches from behind Mary-

"... The Eyes...? I don't know what those are but... the Celebi of Antumbra Isle has... been gone for a long time. There was a shrine to her just north of Cilryth Lake but..."

-She thinks- "I don't even know what any of this means... You could ask Abram. He manages the school here... he's really the only history or mythology "expert" I can think of. But other than that..." -She shakes her head- "I can tell the others. Try to organize a resistance. We may not like fighting, but all of us, every man, woman and child will fight tooth and nail to keep this place. And we outnumber them. It'll be hard after the dragon attack but... we'll manage."

-Jacob walks out of a building and sits down, Regina following after him-

<Well, that was easy.>

Jacob: "Indeed." -He starts counting out a large assortment of coins and bills-

"But need a stable source of income somehow. And hey, some of these guys keep me on my toes. But alas, minor private tournaments like this just aren't fun any more."

Regina: <There's a whole league here you could challenge.>

Jacob: "I am keenly aware of this fact, and I shall take advantage of it later on. But for now, I need to stay focused on what's important."

-He smiles at the Alyona-

I made a promise, right? Can't keep it if Cipher has their way!

Mary:Right!

Ashen: <I feel like something bad is going to happen.>

Archimedes: <With Sunyshore?>

Ashen: <No... here.>

Argent: <Is your Aura sense finally returning? I feel that too.>

Ashen: <Doubtful. Call it a hunter's intuition.>

-The demonic features fade.-

-Azrael summons a greatsword which glows with radiant fire.-

-Azrael swings it at Balthazar, which Balthazar blocks. He is still set on fire, though.-

Balthazar: <GRAH! Do not let the sword touch you!>

Azrael: <BE CLEANSED BY THE LIGHT OF HEAVEN!>

-Ashen fires a Hyper Bolt into Azrael.-

-Azrael turns to Ashen.-

-Azrael raises the greatsword, and a beam of holy fire crashes down on Ashen, burning her. Ashen’s Synchronize fires off, burning Azrael as well.-

-Argent uses a Burn Heal on Ashen.-

-Robin slashes at Azrael with her claws, not doing much.-

-Archimedes runs at Azrael, slamming his fist into the being’s chest, slamming it backwards.-

Azrael: <No… No… NO… NO NO NO ARGH!> -Azrael twists and contorts, before exploding in a burst of black energy.-

-Azrael is now much more demonic, with black-feathered wings, horns, tair, hooves, etc. The greatsword is gone, replaced with a scythe.-

Azrael: <I AM THE HARVESTER OF SORROW!>

-Azrael swings the scythe around, unleashing an arc of black energy at the party.-

-Archimedes plants himself in front of the group, absorbing most of the energy.-

-Archimedes falls to one knee.-

-Argent Heal Pulses Archimedes, to no effect.-

-Ashen fires another Hyper Bolt at Azrael, hitting the thing directly in the chest, sending it flying back again.-

Azrael: <YOUR SOULS ARE FORFEIT!>

-Balthazar tries to run his sword through Azrael's chest, but is knocked aside by the scythe.-

-Robin shoots a jet of flame at Azrael, scorching the wings, and burning away

Azrael: <I SHALL NOT BE - ARGH!> -The demonic features fade, and Azrael unleashes a blast of golden light as it returns to the angelic form it started in.-

-Ashen fires another Hyper Bolt into Azrael, shattering the chest plate.-

Azrael: <NO! NO!>

-The room explodes in a burst of gold and black light, and the cathedral fades, replaced by the chapel it should be.-

Balthazar: <This is how it should look.>

-Argent Heal Pulses Archimedes, which works this time.-

Ashen: <We should move on.>

Balthazar: <Agreed.>

-They walk for a short while more through the castle, then out onto the ramparts. The heavy thunderstorm is still present, and night has completely fallen.-
