Jason:Come on.

-He leads-

-To an area behind the center, where Efreet is sitting in contemplation. Nearby, Senshi and Rosa are restraining Undine.-

Efreet:<Hm...you've arrived...>

F!Blitz:"Yup, hope we didn't keep you waiting too long"

-He looks at the four mon for a moment-

"...Have you all been out here all night?"

Pastoria City

Senshi:<Just Efreet...>

Efreet:<I simply...needed time to think...>

Sir Gerald: <It was hard, but not unbearable. Finding food and water was not difficult, and there was no shortage of adventure. As a Ralts, there was nothing I loved more than finding some unexplored area and "treasure hunting">

Ember: <What exactly are you planning?>

-She looks at Undine for a bit-

Jason:I bet...

-The Shadow is thrashing around violently, spiking out the occasional curse-

Heeze, she's worse than Efreet...

-Efreet nods...-

Mireille: <Ah, yes you and Magnus really have many things in common I remember when I followed him around for such.>

Aicha chuckled

Aicha: <Oh... something~ I can tell you that it will involve Touga berries~>

F!Blitz: "It's... kinda scary to see her like this"

Pastoria Center

-Vierr begins to walk out of his room at the Pokemon Center... only to find that, in addition to the normal door, there is a crudely-constructed waist-high gate made of twigs and other miscellaneous supplies in the way. A certain Murkrow hops up on top of the gate.-

Vierr: ...Henry, what are you doing.

Henry: <Keeping guard, of course! Nobody is allowed in or out without a password.>

-Vierr sighs in exasperation-

Vierr: Henry, I'm not doing this. Move.

-He reaches for the gate, only to get his hand pecked.-

Vierr: Ow!

Henry: <Nope! Wrong password!>

Vierr: ...Okay, fine, I just need to guess the password, then.

Henry: <Ha, good luck just guessing— >

Vierr: Blood.

Henry: <Wrong!>

Vierr: Death.

Henry: <Wrong again!>

Vierr: Chaos.

Henry: <Here's a hint: It's not five letters.>

Vierr: Murder.

Henry: <Come on, not everything about me is blood and gore and all that dark stuff! I'm a well-rounded character— >

Vierr: Carnage.

Henry: <Correct! You can pass!>

-He flies out of the way, and the poorly-made gate falls apart.-

Vierr: Just so you know, you're cleaning that up.

-He finally exits. Henry immediately gets to work reconstructing the gate.-

Pastoria Center

Jason:Yeah...

-sigh-

Anyway...you said you had some kind of story, Efreet?

-Nods-

Sir Gerald: <How long have you known each other?>

Ember: <Dear Arceus, no....>

Mireille: <About... since we hatched really, we were together from the start.>

Aicha laughed

Aicha: <Aww, come on... it will be fun. And Sergey can take that... he already has in the past... but this time... I want to go bigger.>

Pastoria

Sir Gerald: <Count your blessings. For most of my life, I had nobody to count on. No family, no friends, nobody.>

Ember: <I know I owe you, but I'm not 100% on this. The chemicals in Touga berries can be very dangerous, and that's why people use those chemicals in self defense. I don't want anyone getting hurt.>

Mireille gave a nod

Mireille: <I am quite thankful... Magnus may seem quite arrogant but when you get to know him you will soon find out that he is very nice and friendly.>

Aicha: <Hehe, don't worry... he has a tolerance for that... proooobably because of me~ I maybe... kinda sorta... put 7 Touga berries into a glass of water at one point~ Its so funny seeing him running around while spitting flames.>

-A certain person familiar to Henry taps his foot-

Robin: -chuckles- You never really changed coming here, did you?

Mireille: <Now that you are with Tex, how is your life now? I imagine life as a law enforcer is not too easy?>

Aicha: <Hiya who're you?>

Pastoria City

-Efreet lets out a long puff of smoke-

Efreet:<Very good, now listen well...>

-Puff-

Jason:Okee...

-This Princess' beauty was unparalleled across the kingdoms, but her temper knew similarly no bounds. She turned her nose to many a suitor and set them many a ridiculous task...taming the lands fiercest Salamance, for instance. For her temper and beauty, the blue haired maiden became known as "Tumultuous Beauty of the Kingdom of the Seas", Undine.-

-At the same time there existed a man unmatched in his training of Pokemon or his skill in the blade. Some say his Magmar could harness the very power of the volcanoes of Ignis and his blade made from the purest steel of Valora, able to cleave even the mighty boulders of Cragspur in then lightest of swipes. For these he, Ignation born and wilds raised, he was known as "The Sun's hidden blade of fire", Efreet.-

Efreet:<Do you understand thus far?>

Sir Gerald: <The training is absolute torture, but it's a step up from what I had, and Ember tells me it gets better the longer you do it. I have a supportive trainer, good company, and guaranteed food, water, and medical care. But most of all, I have respect. People treat me like I'm something more than a low-level Gallade with a funny accent.>

Bulldozer: <I'm Bulldozer. I've been helping Gerald here train his -psychic powers.>

-Blitz gets a little more comfortable, and tries to not snicker too loudly at the slipper before listening-

F!Blitz: "So far... Those two people had the same names you two have."

Pastoria

Mireille listened interested. While she never had experieced someone treating her or anyone in Sergey's with little respect she could still see what he meant.

Mireille: <I am glad to hear that. A good trainer and team can make up for many hardships.>

Aicha did a casual version of a salute with a smile

Aicha: <I'm Aicha~ Nice to meetcha' Bulldozer. Do you want to help me with my prank too?>

Sir Gerald: <Absolutely. So, what does Sergey do?>

Bulldozer: <Ember, are you getting back into this shit?>

Ember: <Arceus, no. I'm just doing a favor.>

Pastoria City

Efreet:<Aye, they do Equally known as the Pokemon they kept.>

Jason:So...a Horsea and Magby line respec-

-Slipper to the face-

WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE?!

Efreet:<As I was saying.>

-Over time, as both grew older, their paths at last crossed. Undine had been gaining more and more...violent...suitors. Her father wished her be protected should the need arise. And it would so happen that the mercenary Efreet had been passing through. When the Warlord asked what he would need as compensation, the answer he got was...-

Efreet:I need only a place to rest and a place in your halls, my lord.

-And he would have it.-

-The lady Undine, however...-

Undine:I need not a bodyguard. Give me a weapon of mine own and I shall fend them off myself!

-The lord declined her offer, fearing for her daughters safety-

Then I will challenge this so called mercenary myself!

-And so the Princess met the man on the field of combat-

-Needless to say her sword quickly flew from her.-

Efreet:Your technique is sloppy. If you wish, I shall teach you.

-While unhappy, the lady of the land agreed. A shaky truce formed between them.-

-And so it lasted for many years to come-

-Efreet pauses to let the story so far sink in, raising an eyelid quizzically as if to ask "follow?"-

Pastoria

Mireille thought for a bit

Mireille: <You mean for a living? Traveling really, he wants to meet new friends and new Pokémon... that in conjuntion with his... rather expensive hobby of collecting Mecha models means we're mostly short on cash... but he does small oddjobs wherever possible so we have enough. Though at some point he wants to go into space>

She chuckled

Mireille: <I don't know if that will ever work but I'll do my part to support him in his dream.>

Aicha all the while waited for Bulldozer and Ember to stop talking while listening what they had to say.
