Are you insane? If you think I'm letting even an alternate-universe me bring anything related to that fiasco near something important to the fabric of my universe you must be-

Steven 1: This won't harm the Jewel in the slightest. And let's just say you're not the only one who normally wants nothing to do with said fiasco.

-Steven A pauses, then lets Steven 1 go and gives a stern but assenting nod back, which Steven 1 returns.-

I would strongly suggest that we use the analyzer, it's our only chance to get everyone back.

-He looks in confusion at the two Stevens, then to Tagg. He seemed to think it'd be fine, that was a good sign at least. Though the fact only Kendall and himself apparently weren't familiar with whatever had happened to make them nervous working with the device was awkward enough to make him half-chuckle at himself-

I'm in way over my head with this science and "mythology" stuff this time

Infinity Energy is energy derived from the life force of Pokémon, and one of the original plans to stop that meteor was to use Infinity Energy to stop it, but that fell through. It was most infamously used to power the Ultimate Weapon 3,000 years ago.

Human!Kendall: ...It powered the Ultimate Weapon? Causing the Skybreak and killing millions?

Enkidu: ~...Not a good sign.~

Steven A: Exactly, and as you can probably guess by now neither of our world's versions of this corporation have had the best history with it.

Steven 1: Regardless, Tagg is right. The device is a parser used to determine the potential for objects or tissue to be used for Infinity Energy extraction. But if we can use it more peacefully to parse the energy of this Jewel we may be able to get a better grasp on what's going on.
