The teams that go to the left and right are going to each reach a room where they'll likely have to face more Black Ravens - as I cant detect signatures in both rooms. In those rooms there is each an object in the floor that is separate from the rooms themselves - most likely a button or switch - then the halls beyond curve around and meet with the middle path.-

Ren: And the middle path?

Mendel: Uh... the fact that there seems to be a drop off means I can only see what is my guess a pth leading from the drop off to where the paths for the left and right meet up again.

Ren: Wonderful one group goes in blind. Daydre, you can one shot Ravens with Arahabaki's Earth Power by yourself. I suggest you team up with SleepyHead - who can focus on inflicting status - and take the right path. Mondo and Lisa would make a good Left team if Mondo can do some healing along with attacking. Mendel, Joseph and myself would be an ideal team as Pythagoras, Lin Bu, and Izanagi's combined skill set is ideal for facing unknown enemies if we run into any.

Jacob: "Well, as for venue... I was thinking some scenic location near the coast. So, Hoenn, basically, but nothing more specific except maybe some place near Lillycove, Mossdeep, Evergrande, Sootopolis, or perhaps Dewford. No particular theme, and might as well plan for an extra bride and groom because Lyuri doesn't want to plan her own wedding and even though I want it to be just Hikari and I, I'm afraid I've all but been coerced into this "double wedding" thing. I'm a fan of Shakespeare but even I have my limits on things like this."

-He sighs- "This is all so surreal to me. I honestly thought I'd never have this conversation. Just like. Ever. I would say I could blame Soul for that but that's the same thing as blaming me, as Soul isn't a separate entity from myself, as much as I like to treat the aspects as their own existences, they are all me, even if I was just... denying the possibility of ever getting this close to anyone. It just... doesn't feel real. I feel like I'm an outsider in someone else's body watching all these events unfold. Why me? What did I ever do to earn this?"

Gregson looks over at Sholto.

Gregson: <Haven't a clue. If Kenji's anything like he used to be, though, it's probably something to do with his games.>

Meanwhile, Shun is explaining his situation to his grandfather.

Shun: ...And so I decided to take Lex's recommendation and return to Sinnoh for a while. I was hoping for some peace and quiet, though that seems unlikely no matter where I go.

Shun's grandfather: Well, ya can always come back 'ere. Nothin' interesting has happened in this little town since that whole Galactic business blew over.

Shun: Thank you, but I'd rather not stay for longer than I have to. My memories of Celestic are... less than positive. With, uh, obvious exceptions.

Shun's grandfather chuckles.

Shun's grandfather: S'alright, I understand. I was the same at yer age, y'know. I was sick of small-town Sinnoh. Ya learn ta appreciate it when ya retire, but at seventeen I didn't feel like workin' in the family store fer the rest of my life. So I did what any sensible lad would do - spent two year's savings on a one-way ticket to Unova.

Shun: You've told me this story before.

Shun's grandfather: I know, I know. I ain't senile jus' yet. Let an old man wheeze on fer a bit. 'Sides, ya never used ta get tired of hearin' it. Ya must've liked it, seeing as ya decided to go runnin' off yerself!

He sips at his tea.

Shun's grandfather: When I told ya this story, I'd always skip ta my first big case as a private eye. That was the bit ya liked to hear. What I didn't tell ya was what it was like gettin' ta that point. I was a foreigner halfway 'cross the world without a penny ta my name. I had ta take some odd jobs ta make ends meet. Waiter, mail clerk, that kinda thing. As ya might imagine, people had a hard time takin' this country bumpkin seriously.

He smiles, and this time a glint enters his eye.

Shun's grandfather: O'course, if people don't take ya seriously, then ya can get away with all kinds'a tricks. Folks let their guard down, ya see. If you've got a keen eye and a sharp mind, then ya take advantage of that. Imagine the police comissioner's surprise when he saw the kinda evidence his mail clerk had assembled against his friends in the mob.

He takes another sip of his tea, watching Shun's nonplussed expression.

Shun's grandfather: See, now yer glad yer heard the story again. From there, cases just started comin' one after another. I figured that seeing as I was suddenly a detective, I'd make a new start fer meself. New country, new name, that sorta thing.

Shun raises an eyebrow.

Shun: You could have chosen any name in the world, and you picked "Tantei Hontou"?

Tantei: Call it my little inside joke. Sounds ridiculous now, I know, but I was seventeen and tryin' ta stand out. Plus I was dumb as Duduo droppings back then. I know the kids round here gave ya grief fer it-

Shun: It's alright. My name was the last thing they made fun of.

An uncomfortable silence hangs in the air for a moment before Tantei drains his tea.

Tantei: Way I see it, dwellin' on the past is for old men like me. Yer still a kid with yer whole future ahead of ya. Plenty of time ta make a name fer yerself yet.

Shun: ...I suppose that's true. Thank you, Grandpa.

Tantei: S'what I'm hangin' around for.

Tantei looks over at Sholto.

Tantei: So, ya caught some new Pokemon whilst ya were away?

Shun: Um... sort of. This is Sholto. I'll let him introduce himself.

Tantei: Huh. A talking bird. Now I've seen everything. 'Least you're stickin' ta yer theme.

He chuckles to himself again.

Tantei: Y'know, yer bed's still in Ken's room if ya wanna stay fer a while.

Shun: Thank you, but I ought to be getting back to Hearthome.

Tantei: Figured. 'Spose that's easier than tryin' ta stop you two stranglin' each other. That and Ken likes havin' the space fer his projects.

Shun: Has he made anything that works yet?

Tantei: No idea. I just use 'em to test the fire alarm.

He smiles at Shun, then hauls himself up from his seat.

Tantei: You oughta be gettin' on. No point in stickin' around here and waitin' for yer teeth ta fall out like me. You take care of yerself, alright?

Shun: I will.

The two exchange a hug.

Lillianna, meanwhile, has put her usual amount of effort into her appearance, which is to say, it's the least of her concerns and it shows.-

-Sarah is also around, and seems to be in a bit better shape than before. That said, even if she can finally move her left arm and leg again, she's still using a crutch because they're still very weak.-
