(To say Simon looks "roughed up" is an understatement. Aside from the broken glasses, his jacket is so grimy its plaid pattern can no longer be made out; his hat is gone completely, revealing curly dark brown hair that spent the duration of his time with Entropy growing steadily more wild. Aside from grime, there are also large burn marks on his jeans.)

Simon: So I've spent the last year as the plaything of a mad Latios, my glasses are broken, I look a mess and now I have to help Maxwell and his little buddies with their heroic hijinks. Joy. >_>

Eterna General Hospital - Today

-Shortly after receiving the call from the nurse, and figuring out where exactly the hospital is. Blitz made his way to the second floor and stood in front of the door to Jason's room-

-After stopping to remind himself that whatever happened, the hospital probably was doing a good job of taking care of it. then debating if he should try to slip in quietly in case Jason was sleeping, he finally decided to knock and then open the door-

Blitz: "Hey, Jason?"

Verax: -Looking at the map- "... Well, that's annoying. This entire section is obscured."

-He looks between Pent and Lisa- "Hmm... I dunno... A few good ideas. What should we try first? Mounting the Sundial? Splitting up? Waiting? I mean waiting is easiest but after that doesn't work."

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."

Ren: Let's wait a bit then try doing stuff with the sundial. Maybe it turns or something since the shadows spun.

-This whole doing nothing thing does not appear to be working-

-A groan comes from the lone bed in the room. Laying in it is the half-awake Jason. He goes to wave with what should have been his left hand, though he only has a stump there now. The arm flops back into place.-

Jason:Yo...buddy...

-He yawns and tries to sit himself up-

-ETERNA FOREST- A little less than 2 hours til sunset-

Audra: <Sounds like a decent course of action to me. We should ferry the lightest members of our party over, while Cynthia continues to teleport the others. It would be beneficial having the tree's out of the way, so please, do continue.

-Audra looks over at Ekundayo and Ralli-

Audra: <You are the lightest members of our motley crew, so chop chop, off you go.>

-Knowing that this was the best course of action, Ralli reluctantly dragged the once again petrified Ekundayo over to Tomahawk.-

Ralli: <Mind bringin' us ova, bud?>

-The poison takes effect on Scout-

Scout: <Urgh....You may have cowardly poison, but you lack skill.>

-Scout deftly dodges some of the stones, but he takes quite a few hits.

Tex "Use Extremespeed."

-Scout appears to be blinking from one area to another, as if he's instantly teleporting a few feet away from his last location.

-Blitz walks in, but freezes when he notices the stump waving. He silently, panics for a few moments, though it may be less subtle than he'd hope it would be-

-He does finally manage to get himself to stand next to the bed at least-

Blitz: "..... Okay, I wasn't expecting that... What happened??"

Eterna Forest - Past

-Blitz chuckles at Dougal's enthusiastic response, while Tomohawk eyes the two mon for a few moments before crouching lower to the ground to make it easier for them to climb aboard-

Tomohawk: <Yeah, fine. Just don't get used to it. And don't go pulling my feathers out either!>

-Once they're safely on board (assuming nobody makes too big of a fuss) Tomohawk takes off to fly over the obstacle and land again.-

Blitz: "Uh, wow. Really? That sucks..." -He shrugs- "But, I mean, you don't have to help out if you don't want to? I'm not gonna force you after all that. Though Dougal seems to be enjoying himself at the moment"

-the group forge on ahead, making their way through the branches and thickets and bushes of the forest. It's quiet, actually-not an enemy or a poppy to be seen. At least, of course, until they happen upon a clearing, the faintest ring of evening sun showing...-

-nothing-

Joseph: ...you were singing just a minute ago...! You must have gone s-somewhere, you can't try and f-fool us...!

-he's trying to sound Genre Savvy, but he mostly sounds very scared. After a moment, there's a rustle in the bushes, and a white-haired head pops out of one-

Shadow!Joseph: Fine, if you really want to be that way...

-this is identical in every way to the Joe that everyone knows and loves/tolerates/pretends to like but secretly loathes, except in one regard-

Joseph: ...new contact lenses, I see.

-a cautious attempt at a joke that the Shadow gamely giggles at-

Shadow!Joseph: No, silly, these are just our natural eyes!

Joseph: Our natural eyes?

-he steps out of the bushes into the clearing, taking the lead before the group-

Joseph: You say this like we're the same person.

-Shadow!Joseph smiles, sitting down on a tree-stump, looking up at Joseph-

Shadow!Joseph: Well, aren't we?

-Joseph frowns, shaking his head-

Joseph: Noooo, we're not. For one thing-hey, pay attention when I'm talking!

-Shadow!Joseph was busy picking blades of grass. He looks up, with wide, childlike eyes-

Joseph: You're just me if I was a man child. You know, innocent singing flower child me.

-pause-

Joseph: Actually, no, because if you were innocent, you wouldn't have used those damn flowers!

-as he speaks, he gets more and more angry until he shouts the word "flowers". This makes Shadow!Joseph yelp and dive back towards the bush, staring up at Joseph like a cornered baby Lillipup-

Joseph: ...I mean, you're just a kid. You're me, without any maturity-

-Shadow!Joseph cocks his head-

Shadow!Joseph: What maturity?

Joseph: Oh, for-

-he sighs, irritated again-

Joseph: Maturity means that you're, y'know, grown up. Capable of handling things without acting like a little idiot. Understanding the world, adapting to fit it while still remaining...true to yourself. That's what maturity is.

-Shadow!Joseph stares for a moment, before breaking out into cackling laughter. He flomps onto the ground, looking up at Joseph with that oddly vacant expression of mischief children have-

Shadow!Joseph: It's funny when you grown-ups run your mouths!

-he sits up-

Shadow!Joseph: I didn't ask what maturity was. I was asking if you had any of it for your own!

-Joseph's about to answer, but his Shadow plows on ahead-

Shadow!Joseph: You think I'm acting any different from you? You, the weird little pixie with a head full of stardust and color? You, the tallest toddler in the world? You, the nutcase the rest of the team pretends to tolerate?

-Joseph blinks, before growling under his breath. Shadow!Joseph continues, with the kiddish glee of a young boy tattling on his sister-

Shadow!Joseph: Y'know why you keep acting like a stoned six year old, Joe? Because you're afraid of the passage of time. You're afraid of having to grow old and boring and normal, like everyone else.

Joseph: Stop that.

Shadow!Joseph: Because that's what you are! Normal! You can speak in gold and pick flowers and squeal like a kid all you want, but you're just like everyone else!

Joseph: Stop that.

Shadow!Joseph: And a normal person dies a normal death, and goes into a normal grave, and turns into normal, boring old dust!

Joseph: STOP!

-he doesn't say it with demanding anger, but as a scared boy pleading for torment to end-

Joseph: You're not me. You're the parts I want to keep, poisoned. You're not me!

-he speaks with desperation, and that only earns a cackle from Shadow!Joseph-

Shadow!Joseph: Heeheeheeheehee~ You really are silly, you know that?

-he smiles, his golden eyes narrow and cruel-

Shadow!Joseph: That's OK...I like that.

-a wind starts to kick up, leaves and petals gathering and blowing before Joseph, blocking the Shadow from view as it continues to talk-

Shadow!Joseph: You want to be happy, don't you, Joseph? You want to be happy and free forever...

-the wind kicks up to a gale, the petals and dead leaves forming a wall from view before it fades, showing its true form-

-an unnaturally tall and thin Gardevoir, it doesn't look as though it should be upright. It looks like an old statue about to crumble at any moment, overgrown with vines and spores and flowers and leaves with no discernible pattern-
