Cid: Then this is what I need. The last time I tried to put out an order for all this stuff I had a lady in a trenchcoat wreck one of my data beacons. If you can get 'em, then you have your Shadows.

-Ren follows Verax with Izanagi out as Mendel takes up the rear.-

-As they enter the room, there are even more gears, and pistons lining the walls-

-In the center of the room is a red jewel atop a pillar-

-A steel gray Cofagrigus, lacking spikes and a mouth, eyes replaced with two angry red lights and clawed hands swivels to face the group-

-It raises its arms, calling down a storm of Shadow Balls on the party-

-Two Ghouls step out from the shadows-

-One begins foreseeing an attack in the future, the other causes a wave of flames to fly out, trying to burn Ren, Deziree, and Pent-

-At the very back of the room, two pale blue Togetic with Butterfree wings flutter, and do nothing-

-Verax immediately summons Take-Mikazuchi, and has it hurl its club at Mot-

Mot: -Hisses and recoils, several dark appendages flying out from inside it and taking the bolt-club-

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."

-Cid rolls his eyes before putting his fingers to his mouth and letting out an ear-splitting whistle.-

Cid: Juri! You're on acquisition duty!

-A load groan comes from a side room.-

Juri: ~But that means I have to actually LEAVE something intact! You know how much of a pain that is?!~

-The Medicham drops down from a nearby air vent.-

Cid: Too bad. This man is getting stuff, and you're going to help him.

Juri: ~Why can't he get it himself?~

Cid: Juri...

Juri: ~Yeah yeah, I know. Fine. Where we going?~

CU, Pagoda F2

-Seiten Teisai interposes himself between Yurlungur/Galvani and the Will-o'-Wisp attack, taking the burning fire with little more than a tired sigh before he returns the attack with fire of his own. Yurlungur coils himself.-

-Frowns at the incoming Will-o-wisps and Shadow balls as a green energy shield forms around Ren and Izanagi protecting them.-

Ren: Thank you, Izanagi.

-Pythagoras, unaffected by the Shadow Balls and willed to move my Mendel, swerves next to Pent and raises a translucent yellow dome to reflect the Will-o-Wisp back at the Ghoul who sent it.-

Kusaru:I believe that can be arranged. Nyx!

-The Xatu unfolds her wings and with a ~blip~ they are off...-

CU - Pagoda F2

-Both Ghouls are burned, and writhe in pain, their wrappings burning off-

-Mot angrily glares at Pythagoras, and then causes an aura of darkness to fill the room, preventing healing moves-

-The two Togetics in the back fly up to the fight, one of them uses Sweet Scent, odd for a Flying/Fairy to have, and another Pixie flutters into the room-

-The other throws up a Safeguard, a little too late for the Ghouls though-

-The Ghouls both rush forward, one swinging a Fire Punch at Pythagoras, the other dashes up to Izanagi and also Fire Punches-

-Verax has Take-Mikazuchi fly in with a Bulldoze, causing Mot to stumble back with heavy damage-

-Phobetor sends a Poison Gas through the room, trying to poison the Pixies-

-Titan punches at Mot with s Fire Punch-

Des summons Matador.

The Pawniard slices it's blade arms at any Shadow Balls that come toward him and Des.

-Malice is struck by the hit and is weak-

-Etran recalls Malice as Siku attacks-

Mendel: -Blinks at the Heal Block and the Safeguard combo- Crud. Only one thing left to do now...

-Mendel Once again raises a Reflect around the group Unfortunately for Ren and Mendel, there's no stopping the angered Ghouls. Feeling giddy as Izanagi inhales the Sweet Scent and takes a Fire Punch causing Izanagi's coat to become woven bandages, Ren clutches his chest as he feels a hot pain in his abdomen. Bandages appear wound around Pythagoras' arms as Mendel clutches his side.-

Ren: Guhh... At least I can make this work now... Counter attack!

-Izanagi's Spear-glaive glows a bright metallic silver fueled by vindictive energy as he swipes at the offending Ghoul.-

CU - Pagoda F2

-The Ghoul is destroyed by the Metal burst, popping like a balloon, the other vanishes into the ground, reappearing behind Matador, smacking him with a Shadow Sneak-

-Mot staggers from the Hidden Power and the Fire Punch, cracks forming in its body, and Titan's ability to punch with flames is sealed. It retaliates by shocking Orpheus with a Shock Wave-

-One of the Pixies is immediately melted by Yurlungur's Gunk Shot, Phobetor's Poison Gas does nothing, diffusing against the Safeguard. One of the Pixies giggles, and lets loose a Fairy Type Swift at Phobetor, Yulungur, and Seiten, before realizing how limited in effectiveness that would be, and tries to retreat. The third is brought to critical health by the Flamethrower, and retaliates with an Ancient Power-

CU - Pagoda F5

-Jacob is here, sprawled out in front of the massive forge, waves of heat billowing from it with every tower-shaking, ear-drum blowing slam of the massive hammers-

Jacob: "Ergh..." -He pushes himself to his feet-

???: "Took you long enough."

-Jacob's head snaps up to see his shadow riding up and down on one of the hammers-

Shadow!Jacob: "So! We gonna do the whole song and dance? With you fighting me?"

Jacob: "... Whatever you symbolize I acknowledge is a part of who I used to be, but I am different now, I have no need for you."

Shadow!Jacob: "..." -He smiles cruelly- "Oh, so this is gonna be fun."

-He tosses down a white and black curved blade to Jacob, a black longsword dissolving into view in his hand- "Keep me entertained while your friends try to get here, yeah?"

-Seiten is too drunk to not dodge the Ancient Power and gets clocked in the head. Dune's head snaps to the side in response.-

-Seiten spits a Fire Spin at Mot while Yurlungur sprays copper acid at the last pixie.-

-Ren's eyes flash at the retreating Pixie.-

Ren: -extending his arm, palm out- You're not getting off that easy...

-Izanagi swoops forward and grabs the the top of the Pixie's head, his claws gleaming with metallic light.-

Izanagi: -in a flat, but distinctly irritated tone- I liked my coat...

-Izanagi starts to tighten his grip...-

Mendel and Pythagoras: -seeing Izanagi- ._. .-. ._.
