Mendel: Minor shadows that were attracted to the Shadow Self are dispersing. All scans are showong that this area is clear. I think we can return to the Velvet Room when ever we want.

-Mendel thinks for a bit before adding...-

Mendel: I also want to ask about the Moerae and Norn. Their energy was different than Shadows or the Shadow Selves.

Route 203 - Past

-Blitz shakes his head at Phaz's assumption, though he had to suppress a smirk at the comment of catching a Greninja by surprise and luck-

Blitz: "Heh, you might find things a little harder than that. Frankly it takes more than just a pokeball to earn a pokemon's loyalty"

-He turns to Ark-

"Anyway. yeah, She got caught sneaking up on you. And I'm not saying every mon has to be beaten up before they have a trainer, or Pack Leader if you prefer. I've got several mon that I didn't battle before they joined my team. But there's a sort of old promise that's involved too, they have to feel like they've got a reason to travel with you. Whether because you proved your worth in battle or simply out of friendship or curiosity. And you've got to care for and respect them in return."

-He sticks his hands in his pockets-

"Without both of those, it starts to get a bit like kidnapping. But at least you can understand her, that makes things easier"

Dunyazade: -cocks her head- Who is this Sharpedo, and why would they know?

-Ark looks disgruntled at the notion of someone digging around her past and secrets.-

Ark: <...... Yeah, sure, good luck with that. I guess we can keep moving on then.>

Blitz: Sounds kind of like why Down joined

-Out loud, he chuckled a little, both at Audra's curiosity and Cynthia's questioning-

-Jacob has woken up a little late today, and despite all his best attempts, his bangs are swooping up like a cockatiel's head feathers-

"Hey I was actually going to call you later. You wanna go hang out or do something anywhere? I haven't been to Sinnoh before aside from that one date we had back... last... year..."

"... Anyhow feel like doing something? I've got nothing but free time."

"I'm so excited to explore the Region I haven't been some place new like this in a while and I'm just excited! I heard about something that I wanted to see so we're gonna go see it and if there's some place you wanna show me we can go there next!!"

Phaz: Finally ! We are arrived at Oreburgh ! Now let's see what to do... Go to the Pokemon Center, find an hotel, visit the gym... Does anyone of you wants to do something else too ?

Phaz: Well i told you i could have lifted you to my shoulders... But okay, let's find the Hotel first. Maybe you will go with us, Blitz and Ark...?

-Jacob drags her off to Valley Windworks, and after a moment there's a ton of Drifloon filling the sky, being dragged along by the massive turbines-

Jacob: ".... You know, I've seen Drifblim before, but I don't think I've ever seen a Drifloon before. That, and seeing a cloud, herd, group, whatever of them... It's kinda cool."

-As he says this, he gets slapped in the face by one drifting into him, and he stumbles back a little, laughing- "Well then!"

-He looks at Hikari for a moment, his head tilting quizzically, just now realizing the milkshake, then shrugs- ".... We went through a lot over this past year, huh? It's kinda nice to just see a new place with the people you love."

-At that point a small group of particularly mischievous Drifloon start tugging on both of them, trying to drag them away and up into the air a little-

-Ark had pointedly been ignoring Cynthia the whole way to Oreburgh. For the first time since Cynthia asked the question about her, Ark spoke-

Ark: A.... what?

Barclay: <Finally! The hobo speaks!>

Kiaran: <A... what?>

Ralli: <Yup, dis confirms it 100%. Def'lantly Siblings.>

-Audra looks at Ralli in interest.-

Audra: <Oh? Do tell. I imagine that one or the other is adopted?>

Ralli: <Far as I can tell. Kiaran refer's t' Ark as his lil' sister n' vice versa.>

-It is at that moment that Ark, who had started counting her mon's, realized one was missing.-

Ark: <Where's Verigan?>

Kiaran: < I see him. He's pressing his face up against the window of that store with the glow-y box.>

-Verigan is busy watching a rerun of an episode of Valiant Knight Skarmory. He is clearly enraptured by the show, cheering the main protagonist on.-

Ralli: <Pfft. Verigan can be pretty adorkable at times.>

-for one moment, Phaz stopped seeking an hotel sign. He stared silently at Ark for a couple of seconds, then breathed deeply and started to talk in what seems to be a controlled tone.-

Phaz: Okay. First: an hotel is a house where you rent a room and you can sleep in, and usually can wash youself because there's a bathroom. I think you know what a bathroom is. Second: Do you think this is funny ? I mean litterally every trainer knows what an hotel is. Do you think i am stupid ?

-He chuckles at the sight of the mon watching TV through a window then turned to Ark and Phaz, though he was already in the middle of explaining a Hotel to the wild girl-
