-Zeal glares at the stranger.-

Zeal: Who are you, and what can you tell me about the watch?!

-Gui headtilts.-

Gui: ...I get the feeling I'll be stuck as the sane one for a while no matter what I do now.

Ice Scape

Stranger: Ooh, touchy are we? The watch is pretty? I dunno, looks like a normal watch to be. Been seeing a bunch of them. If I take a look I might be able to tell you more?

Ice Scape

Zeal: ...I've figured it out. Never mind, I'm not showing you anything.

-Zeal hides the watch behind his other hand. Gui turns to the stranger.-

Gui: Um, would you be able to tell us where this is?

Icy Scape

Stranger: Alright then! Be that way.

He turns to Gui.

Stranger: Oooh, I always love this question. Do you want specifically, or generally?

Icy Scape

Gui: Both, if that's an option.

Palace of Shadow

Nico: ~Don't worry, Bobbery, we are. In fact...~

-To Nazca and Lancelot-

~Hey you two.~

-The two mons fall back from attacking to "listen"-

-Nico smirks-

~The Shadow King seems pretty fond of that one Crystal Star he's got. Would be a shame if somemon took it from him.~

Lancelot: ...

-Smirks back, then turns to Nazca-

~Nazca? Gimmie a boost.~

-If Nazca had a visible mouth she'd smirk as well-

Nazca: ~With pleasure, Lancelot.~

-Lancelot hops onto Nazca, who flies him straight up to the Shadow King, at which point he leaps off and charges a hand with Obscura as he swipes at both the Shadow King and the Crystal Star he's carrying with it-

-The Shadow King is struck and has the Crystal Star stolen from him-

-Lancelot would probably find himself mummified if he wasn't already-

Shadow King: <...If you were hoping to prevent me from using it, your efforts were in vain.>

-The Star in Lancelot's hand lets out another shadowy glow as it lets out another Supernova-

-Squealer puts up a Protect shield, but Bobbery is unable to and struck by the attack-

Bobbery: <Oof...>

I should hope the plan was for more than that...

"Even then, while she's typically the kind of person to protect people from things she thinks will hurt them, she knows I prefer a harsh truth to a pleasant lie."

-He pulls out a few charts-

"Since September 2002, there has been an increase in meteorite strike frequency as well as size with the earth not seen since 1988, at which point there was a sharp decrease in them which stayed fairly low for the next 14 years."

"Also, this is one of your parent's recipes."

-He hands Jacob dual index cards written in Marcus and Valerie Iridis' handwriting-

-They have recipes on them, the titles of which include some allusion to repelling meteors-

Jacob: "...." -He reviews the recipes, not really believing, as he can't really remember his parent's handwriting-

"... So what happened between them dying and now? What happened to the meteorites and meteors then?"

Abraham Huehnergard: "What do you mean?"

"They failed to be repelled, so they struck the earth."

Lilycove Department Store - Past

Jacob: "Okay, there are several flaws with this theory. First off, just because there's a correlation doesn't imply a causation. For all we know-"

-He points at the legendary food critic-

"It could just be coincidence! The coincidences are very... suspicious, but there's no hard evidence linking my parents and their delicious cooking to meteorologic events. Secondly, if this was truly threatening, I would have heard about these other meteorites, after we handle this one, which again, no proof it's even related to me, there's no reason to expect it to get worse. Third, I'm starting to doubt the authenticity of this "evidence"'s existence! HOW DO YOU JUST HAPPEN TO HAVE THINGS THAT ANSWER MY QUESTIONS ON YOUR PERSON?"

Palace of Shadow

-Lancelot already has Mummy because he's been Night Slashing the Shadow King the whole time, remember, dummy?-

-Rrgh, fine... Lancelot leaps back and holds up the Crystal Star he swiped tauntingly-

Lancelot: <Sorry, tubby, we need this more than you do. And not quite...>

-Tosses the star to Nico-

Nico! Get those things going!

Nico: -nods- Right!

-levitates the Crystal and Sapphire Stars above him and starts channeling Psychic power into them-

-Both Stars resonate with each other, giving him leeway, but he's still met wit heavy Obscuric resistance-

Rrrgh... Maggie! I'm gonna need the rest of these things!

-Abraham Huehnergard shakes his pointer finger mockingly at Jacob-

Abraham Huehnergard: "Iridis... I never said the meteors were coming soon, did I?"

"That said, there is clear evidence that more are coming, as I showed you."

"And do you forget how long it took for them to tell you about the meteor crash anyway as well as the fact they said not to tell others? Do you have any proof this isn't the first one?"

"And at any rate, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

"As for how prepared I am, well, I consider myself an afficionado of Marcus and Valerie Iridis. And before you say anything about that, I assure you that while I may be a legendary food critic, that does not translate to skill in the kitchen."

"On top of that, I have been well aware of how stubborn you are and knew that you would not be easy to convince. I have been holding onto, gathering, and collecting data mainly for this meeting in hopes of answering any question you could come up with."

"Well... does that convince you?"

Palace of Shadow

-Regardless of the other Narrator's rudeness, Maggie fishes the other 5 Crystal Stars out of her bag-

Maggie: "Here!"

-She gives them to Nico-

-The Shadow King, noticing something is up, focuses his attention on Nico-

Shadow King: <...You...>

-One of his hands still being Frozen, he turns the nonfrozen hand into several smaller ones, which then attempt to rush Nico with a series of Astonishes-

Jacob: "..."

"Okay, while I can't refute most of that, I can refute the first two points."

"The recipes and the amount of meteors aren't proof of anything. There's no logical reason they'd be connected, and I have yet to see some explanation. And secondly, I'm not the one who has to prove you're wrong, you have to provide proof you're right."

Abraham Huehnergard: "Hm... Would you believe me if I provided you where and when the next meteor is predicted to strike? Not necessarily a dangerous one, but a meteor nonetheless. I'm fairly sure I have that paper somewhere..."

Jacob: -Shakes his head- "No, I wouldn't. I'm not looking for proof of meteors, I want an explanation for how it could be connected to my parent's alleged baking and proof that the connection is true. You've shown me recipes, and the number of meteor strikes over a certain time frame, but haven't explained how or why they're connected."
