-Ren recalls Kitsune and Sent out Rio.-
Ren: Iron Defense!
-As Steven used a Full Heal on his Aggron, Ren, holding his Mega Cane vertically with his left hand, pressed his right palm to his Key Stone. As the key stone begins to gleam, Ren raises his cane aloft.-
-As the crystal refracts and reflects the light from the Key Stone, Rio is surrounded by a spherical cocoon of dark grey energy. After a brief moment, the cocoon shatters.-
-Emerging from the sphere, Rio's cream fur has become longer, and his thighs slimmed down. Rio has developed two spikes on the back of each of his paws, which have turned crimson. His aura-sensing appendages have grown longer, with two of them tipped in crimson. His shoulders also possess a spike each. The power of Rio's aura is heightened throughout His body, causing new black markings to form on his blue fur.-
Ren: Magnet Rise!
Steven: Earthquake!
Aggron: <SMASH ALL THE GROUND!>
-The Aggron slams its tail and arms on ground as Rio rises into the Air as the shockwave from the Aggron's attack passes under him.-
Ren: Aura Sphere!
Steven: Smack Down!
Aggron: -grabbing a chunk of the floor and hurling it at Rio- <SMASH ALL THE LUCARIO!>
Mega!Rio: <*hrk* ...>
-Rio is forced back to the ground with minor damage but fires an Adaptability-boosted Aura Sphere at the Aggron's face.-
Aggron: <OWWW! I... WILL... SMASH... ALL... THE... !!!>
-Steven sends out Carbink holding an Iron Ball and Ren sends out Pierre holding the Metrome to preserve Rio's Health.-
Carbink: <HEEEEYYYYY! Aren't I just so shiny~!>
Pierre: <... I don't know how to respond to that.>
Steven: Time to take some extra measures! Stealth Rock!
Ren: Hypnosis!
Pierre: <I know! Why don't you just take a nap!>
Carbink: <OKAYYYYY! But I'll still be so shiny~!>
Steven: Time to make the most of a bad situation! Snore!
Ren: Energy Ball!
Carbink: <PRETTYYYYY~! *snore* PRETTYYYYY~!>

-Pierre hurls a ball of green energy at the Carbink, doing moderate damage.-

Ren: Energy Ball!

Pierre: -taking minor damage- <I don't know Where that reference is from... But I heard too many times already!>
Ren: Well the show was fairly lackluster.
-Pierre hurls another ball of green energy at the Carbink, doing bit more damage than last time.-
Steven: Sleep Talk!
Ren: Energy Ball!
Carbink: <PRETTYYYYY~! ... SHINEYYYYY~!>
-The Carbink sat up and started to spin as...-
Ren: Hit it!
-As Pierre hurled yet another ball of green energy at the Carbink, the sleeping Fairy type spun right into Pierre's attack severely damaging itself and severly reducing the the damage to Pierre.-
Pierre: -a bit below half health- <Oouch.>
Carbink: -weakly, while still asleep- <-I'M STILLLL~ SO SHINEYYYYY~!>

Steven: -recalling Carbink- Congratulations, Renard. Very few coordinators can push me this far.Ren: -in thought, while recalling Pierre- Yeah... And getting here left me with only one mon in perfect condition...
Steven: -sending out a shiny Metagross- So let's see how much farther you can push me...
-As Steven presses his fFingers to his Mega Stickpin as Ren sends out Dirus.-
-Steven's Shiny Metagross bellows as it is encased by a cocoon of gray energy.-
-After a tense moment with a wall-shaking surge of energy, Ren and Dirus are now staring down the gold, white, and blue metal octapod.-
Ren: -in thought- It looks a lot more scary when you're on the opponent...
-Out loud- Time for the Finale! Dirus, use Dark Pulse!
Steven: Ice Punch!
Dirus: -two streams of Obscrua fire from the two smaller head and the main head speaks- <So what if you're Mega Evolved?>
-In a single fluid maneuver, the Mega Metagross points it's four fore-limbs together and spun rapidly and moving forward, severely weakening Dirus' attack, as its claws started to emit a frosty mist.
Dirus: <Urk!>
-All three of Dirus' necks were being restrained by three frosty claws as the Final on was quickly drawn back and delivered a quick, frost-covered jab to Dirus' side.-
-As Dirus slumped to the floor and Ren recalled the Dark dragon, the Mega Metagross floated back to Steven's side, the Champion smiling at Ren waiting as waited for the challenger to send out his next mon.-
Ren: -sending out Gamma- Gamma! Use Dark Pulse!
Steven: Hammer Arm!
-Before gamma can properly gather the obcsura needed to fire his attack, two metal claws glowing with powerful aura slam into the Virtual Pokémon, sending him straight up before fall to the floor.-
Ren: -in thought, while recalling Gamma- I'm starting to think I underestimated this fight... But there is still my one chance for a comeback...
-Ren sends out Baleno.-
Ren: Baleno use Thunder Wave!
Steven: Meteor Mash!
-Baleno blinks at Steven's words, only to open them to see the Mega Metagross's claw heading for him as Ren winces at the impact and recalls his Raichu.-
Ren: -in thought- Crunch time...
-out loud- Rio, do us proud! Blaze Kick!
Steven: Hammer Arm!
-Rio dashes forward, his feet igniting as he runs. The Mega Metagross begin to glow with aura, but Rio leaps into the air to deliver a spinning axe kick with his flaming feet.-
HONG!
-The four fore-limbs take Rio's attack, but the energy for the Hammer Arm softened the blow. The two Mega Evolved mon stare at each other for a moment only for one of the fore-arms of the Mega Metagross to grab Rio and sling him to the ground, stunning the Mega Lucario as the The four arms slam downwards, kicking up dust with Rio at the epicenter of the attack.-

-As the dust clears, Rio has reverted to his normal form as the Mega Metagross stares at Ren unflinchingly.--As Ren recalls Rio, Ren contemplates his options.-
Ren: Steven has his Mega Metagross with probably around 3/4 health, its speed lowered twice, and a fourth move unaccounted for. I, on the other hand, have two mon left. Kitsune at Pierre. Kitsune has the most health and has attacks that would be super-effective, but she also has Leech Seeds on her that would heal the Mega Metagross - not to mention that Earthquake is a threat. Pierre has less than half of his health left, but he one move slot left - but not very many options to use against this opponent...
-Ren sighs as he thinks back to one of his first contests as he takes out Kitsune's Cherish Ball, hopping to give himself comfort in these final moments. But this causes a memory to stir, a memory of a well read pamphlet given to him when he first got his Contest Pass...
Steven: While I'll be sligtly disappointed Renard, I will understand if you wish to concede.
-Steven's words jolt Ren back into the here and now, new inspiration coursing through Ren's mind.-
Ren: Sorry Steven, I don't think I'll take that offer.
-Ren tucks Kitsune's Cherish Ball back into his coat and begins to smile as he removes Pierre's Repeat Ball.-
Ren: I just remembered something I learned a long time ago, and it's something I should have remembered in Kalos.
-Ren sends out Pierre exhausted from his previous exertion.-
Ren: And it reminded me that whether it my destiny to see the curtain fall on a tragedy or to face a standing ovation - The show must go on!
Steven: -sighs at Ren's speech but smiles at the end- I can't say I appreciate the flowery speech, but I will complement your resolve Renard.
Ren: Then let us begin the final scene!
Steven: Meteor Mash!
Ren: -calmly- Destiny Bond.
Pierre: -singing as his eyes glow red as a strand of energy connects him to his assailant.-
