-Slashkreyd tries to create a tremor-

-Slashkreyd tries to duck under the beam, but it doesn't go the best, even if it does end up better than if he had gotten hit by it head on-

Gogie: ...Didn't expect that.

-Slashkreyd gets to his feet and creates another tremor-

-Slashkreyd gets hit by the blast and knocked out due to its increased power in the sun-

-Glöckchen pops out of her ball and causes it to begin hailing again-

Glöckchen: <Naughty girls who can not control their temper may one day find themselves reduced to a pile of ashes by it.>

-Gogie blinks-

Gogie: "...Is that even-"

-Before Gogie can finish his thought, Glöckchen rings her bell, then shoots off an Ice Shard-

Ever: If we're being honest, I sort of figured it out once Fade picked me up back in the city. You guys aren't exactly unrecognizable.

Toxicroak: <Well, no matter. Once we're through with you, you'll be the unrecognizable one.>

Ever: And what exactly is your plan here? Dangle me in midair until the blood rushes to my head?

Fade: <Will do thing to you with machine.>

Ever: ...Oh. That is unfortunate.

Gyru: <I designed it myself. I can guarantee it will hurt.>

-The Altaria spins and twirls wildly through the air as her Speed and Attack Increase.-

Röntgen: <Uh... Okay.>

-Röntgen lets out a loud roar, a black tinge is visible as the sound distorts the air.-

Altaria: -as she's forced back into her ball- <AYFKM! :|>

-As Altaria is forced out, A Drifblim with a Flying Gem is dragged out.-

Winona: Okay... Wasn't expecting that. Well take time to take advantage of the situation use Acrobatics!

Ren: Embargo!

Röntgen: <R-right!>

-Röntgen: growls as his eyes gleam and obscura chains form around the Drifblim's Flying Gem. The Driflim spins through the air on a collision course with Röntgen, only for it to realize that it never gained power from its held Item nor gained the speed boost from his ability.-

Drifblim: <Why didn't it work?>

Winona: I think I'm beginning to properly understand why Delta's are not to underestimated...

Ren: Excellent, Röntgen! Keep up the pressure!

-Röntgen looks a bit happy at Ren's encouragement.-

Röntgen: <Okay, I'll try.>

Winona: With only Silver Wind as my best offensive move I guess I'll have to go on the defensive... Even if that Delta typing make this thing's move set a bit unpredictable

-out loud- Drifblim, use Calm Mind!

Drifblim: <Okedoke!>

-The Drifblim start to float serenely as it calms its mind, raising it's special stats.-

Ren: Okay. Not exactly perfect. But we can work with this.

-out loud- Röntgen, Hold off! wait for the opportune moment to strike!

Winona: ... Retreat with Baton Pass!

Drifblim: <Youuu got it!>

-The Drifblim conjures a stick of white energy and throws it up in the air as turn to be recalled.-

Ren: Now! Use Pursuit!

Röntgen: -black obscura starting to cloak him- <Right!>

Winona and Drifblim: What?!>

-Just before Drifblim is recalled, Röntgen slams into the back of the Drifblim. The boosted power of the super-effective attack, Röntgen's high attack, and the Drifblim's abysmal defense caused the Balloon Pokemon before Altaria could be sent out.-

Drifblim fainted!

-Röntgen retakes his position as Winona recalls her Drifblim. Ren grins at the electric lion in front of him as Röntgen himself stared a bit nervously at the Gym Leader at the opposite side of the field.-

Röntgen: <Can I really do this?>

Ren: Yes, I believe you can, Röntgen.

-in thought- And now Röntgen, win or lose, it's time for you to see that you are more capable than you give yourself credit for.

Winona: Well I must say I never expected this situation to happen. You command your Pokemon with grace and encouragement. So I too must soar higher to triumph.

-Winona sends out her Altaria again.-

Winona: Altaria, time for you to soar! Use Moonblast!

Ren: Röntgen, time for the final scene! Show them why you are the star, use Embargo!

Röntgen: <Right.>

Altaria: <imma pwn u noob!>

-As the moon seems to appear behind the Altaria and a pink orb of energy forms in front of her open beak, black obscura chains form around her Expert Belt.-

Ren: Röntgen, dodge!

-The Delta lion attempted to dash forward to dodge under the beam, but the pink blast proved to be too wide.-

Röntgen: <Waaaargh!>

-As Röntgen lost a little over half of his health, his Weakness Policy kicked in, sharply strengthening his offensive capabilities.-

Röntgen: -actually surprised he's still conscious- <Wait. What happened?>

Ren: You happened!

Röntgen: <Huuh?>

Ren: I told you that you were up to it! Now let's give 'em a finale they'll never forget! Röntgen, use Ice Fang!

Röntgen: -with an enthusiasm that surprised himself with- <Okay! I'm on it!>

Winona: Moonblast again! He can't take another!

Altaria: -as the moon seems to appear behind her- <lol noob!>

Fortree Gym, Past, Viewing Area

-Keys is leading Rio, Lumen, and Kitsune in a rather interesting rendition of If I Were King of the Forest to cheer Röntgen on.-

Fortree Gym, Past, Ren's Gym Battle

-Ren chuckles at Röntgen's teammate's attempt to cheer the Delta lion on as he watches Röntgen start to dash forward.-

Röntgen: -his teeth staring to exude a cold mist- I can do this! Just do it like how I dodged attacks from Lumen, Gamma, and Zanna during practice!

Altaria: -once again firing a pink beam of condensed lunar light- <Imma firin ma laz0r!>

-With new confidence Röntgen born from praise and a desire to please, Röntgen performed a rolling tumble that allowed him to dodge the Moonblast and use the momentum to leap up at the stunned Altaria, his open maw full of icy fangs and frigid breath.-

Altaria: <OMGWTFBBQ D: D: D:>

-With a roar followed by the sound of suddenly hardening ice, the Delta Luxray crashes to the ground, dazed from a not-so-perfect landing - along side the frozen and unconscious body of Winona's Altaria.-

Altaria fainted!

-As Winona recalls her Altaria, Ren starts running towards his still slightly dazed partner.-

Ren: -ecstatic- YOU DID IT RONTGEN! I mean, we'll have to work on those landings of yours, but still! I TOLD YOU YOU COULD DO IT!

-Ren is applying some restorative items while patting Rontgen who is starting to realize what just happened as Winona walks over to them.-

Winona: -Looking down at the kneeling trainer and his Pokemon- If I might have a moment?

-Ren stands and Polite faces Winona.-

Winona: Mr. Clavis, I recognize your talent and present you with this Gym Badge and one of my favorite TMs, TM19 Roost.

-Winona holds out a silver and light blue badge in the shape of curved bird's wing and a sky-blue disc.-

Ren: -taking the Feather Badge and the TM- Thank you. It was a privilege to battle with you.

-Winona nods before squatting to pet Röntgen gently-

Winona: Röntgen here soared with a grace I didn't see in him when you came in the other day.

-to Ren- Continue to help him soar higher Mr. Clavis. Röntgen has shown me how I may soar higher than before.

-Winona stands, then with a nod, she walks away to get her team healed.-

-The Amarin Twins are shuffling through the tall grass.-

Sarah: Bleh, I can barely see anything here.

Eskay: You'd think they'd try to trim some of this grass down so the route's more easily traveled.

Sarah: Maybe it's some sort of nature law they have... in...

-She trails off as she notices a glasses-wearing figure behind Eskay, mimicking his movement, posture, and everything else.-

Sarah: ...Uh...

-Eskay raises an eyebrow, and turns around. The mimic likewise does, glancing at a reflection in a small mirror in his glasses lens.-

Eskay: ...Can I help you?

-The mimic doesn't answer.-

Eskay: ...Oooookay...

-They turn back around, and Eskay notices Sarah tapping another mimic on the shoulder. The second one mimes the same action into thin air.-

Sarah: Seriously, you guys are really freaking creepy.

-After a moment of thought, the Amarins turn around, face each other, nod, and relocate themselves so that their respective mimics are right next to each other. They turn around, raise a fist, and...-

-THUNK!-

Mimic 1: GAH! YOU PUNCHED ME IN THE NOSE!

Mimic A: Hey, not my fault! I was doing exactly what she was doing! And you punched me back anyway!

Mimic 1: It's his fault!

-They glare at each other, seething. The Amarin twins sweatdrop and make a quick getaway as the mimics start to fight.-
