-Ashe clambers out of the way, getting clipped...and sending a Rock Slide down toward Aeryl.-

Ashe:<Too close...that was...>

-S He is indeed on her last legs-

-Due to being so close to her, Rock Slide hits Aeryl dead-on, dealing massive damage to him. He's a bit dazed-

Aeryl: <Oioioioi...>

Landon: Don't give in! Use Earthquake!

-Aeryl makes the ground shudder again, hoping to catch Ashe in the attack-

Linnéa: Oh, uh, yeah, I guess? Was there something you wanted to speak to him about?

- The two Meowstic briefly glance at each other -

Lavaridge Town

-Zeal is walking when someone vaguely familiar-looking sees him and runs in his direction.-

???: You're Zachary Motte, aren't you?

-Zeal looks at the person suspiciously.-

Zeal: Possibly? Why?

???: I assume that's a yes.

-He smiles and holds out a hand.-

Zelner: I'm Yale Zelner. We've met two or three times before.

Zeal: Ohhh, right. Guess that's where I know you from.

-He shakes.-

Zeal: Savvy said you were traveling with her?

Zelner: We've been apart for a few weeks now, but yes, I was.

Zeal: ...I'm sorry I've made things so hard for the two of you. And I still haven't worked up the courage to contact my dad, so it'll probably still... Well, that's unimportant. Nice to see you, I suppose.

-He grins halfheartedly. Zelner looks slightly puzzled, but ultimately ignores it.-

Zelner: Likewise.

-They could probably be interacted with, too.-

Lavaridge

Alyssa: Well, uh, apparently a couple weeks ago there was this thing about pie or something and I had no idea it was going on until it was too late and now I know and I wanted to give him one because, um, um, um...

-After a moment of stammering, she goes bright red and pulls out the pie she got from a nearby bakery-

Alyssa: Uh, c-can you bring it to him?

-Beat-

Alyssa: ...I-I mean, you two can share it, if you want!

Lavaridge

-A Shiny Golem suddenly walks towards Zelner-

Iri Manor - Backyard

-The Iri twins are here sparring, Verax in his Cipher Commander armor, with the Cipher emblem painted over-

Verax: -Lunges at Jacob with his stun staff- "So you got the girl then?"

Jacob: -Catches the blow between Kanshou and Bakuya and pushes the staff off to the side- "Why would you care?" -As he says this he rushes at Verax, tilting Kanshou to keep the staff pressed away from him and swinging Bakuya at Verax-

Verax: "Sign of emotional matur-" -Ducks under the slash, pulls back his staff, and half-cartwheels away from Jacob, as he lands on his feet, he revolves on his feet, and shifts his grip towards the base of one of the staff, swinging it's full length hard into Jacob's side- "-ity, and besides it's about damn time." -As Jacob recoils from the strike he pulls the staff back and grips it's center again, twirling it and bringing down at his head-

Jacob: "I don't think it's too important-" -Ducks left and further away from Verax- "Besides everyone and their mother saw this coming apparent-!!" -Verax had already closed the distance between them punches Jacob in the stomach, the force lifting him off the ground-

Verax: "Don't you dare get complacent, it's not just "a thing", there's someone who likes you who you like and it makes you both happy, try and-" -He grunts as he finishes through with the strike, tossing Jacob back a bit- "Be a bit more appreciative why don't you!"

Jacob: -Coughs a bit, the wind knocked out of him- "So touchy... I'm not getting complacent I'm just-" -He collects himself and blocks another staff swing aimed at his collar, repels it, slashing out and away and leaving his torso wide open, but quickly bring his swords back and crosscutting at Verax- "Still adjusting is all. And you and this Cipher cell, you think you can handle it alone-"

Verax: "So you say-" -Side steps the slash, jabs his staff in the ground while grabbing Jacob's arm with his free hand- "And you focus on you and Pokemon battles. When it comes to fighting paramilitary organizations-" -Ducks under a slash Jacob makes- "I'm the expert." -Pulls Jacob forward while he lets go of his staff and slugs him across the face hard enough to send Jacob staggering back several steps and on to the ground-

-Both are breathing heavily as Verax rests on his staff, shaking his hand-

"You know, most of the time stone faced is just a saying, but seriously did you make yourself a cyborg??"

Jacob: "No just... thin skin dense bones I guess, I... don't know..." -Shakes his head-

"I still suck at person-to-person combat..."

Verax: "Improving though. And you don't need to? You have a full team of Pokémon and the mind of a brilliant tactician, you don't need to fight man to man... that's... not always the case with my line of work..."

Jacob: -Shakes his head- "Still... helpful to know..."

Verax: -Shrugs- "If you say... Well, better luck next time." -Pulls his stun staff out of the ground and both ends collapse into the center handle which he puts on his back, and walks off-

Lavaridge

Linnéa: Oh, how sweet of you! Sure, I'll bring it to him!

Male Meowstic: (to the other Meowstic via telepathy) Since she's a friend of our trainers, do you think we might have to tell her about their secret one of these days?

Female Meowstic: (shrugs) I don't know.

Lavaridge Town

-The Shiny Golem is seen.-

Zelner: ...

Zeal: ...

Zelner: ...

-Zelner raises a hand in a wave and smiles.-

Zelner: Hello.

Lavaridge

-The Shiny Golem waves back-

???: Nugget!

-It turns around. A boy walks towards it-

???: What did I say about wandering off on your own!?

-It looks a bit sad. The boy sighs and looks at Zelner-

???: I'm sorry, she didn't bother you, did she?

Lavaridge

-Alyssa blushes even more.-

Alyssa: Uh, ah-heh... th-thank you... I wish I could have gotten to take it myself, but I can't find him...

Lavaridge Town

Zelner: No, of course not.

-Zeal just stands there, slightly bewildered.-

Lavaridge

-The boy looks relieved-

???: Phew. She's been with me for only a week or so, and she's not used to it yet. So she wanders off sometimes.

-The boy recalls Nugget in her Poké Ball-

???: Still, sorry about that. Seeing a Shiny Golem suddenly appear out of nowhere was probably kinda strange.

Linnéa: Oh? Well, he should be around here somewhere...

Zeal: Yeah, sorta. I think that's probably more normal than a lot of stuff that's happened, though...

Zelner: In any case, what brings you here?

Anguis the Serperior♂: <Yo, Ovis?>

Ovis the Ampharos♂: <Y-Yeah?>

Anguis: <Some of the others have been acting kinda...odd lately, any idea why?>

Ovis: <Nope.>

Rotor the Excadril♂: -Digs himself out of the ground- <I think tomorrow's the 4th anniversary of them killing that 'M guy.>

Anguis: -Flicks tongue out briefly- <Right...>

Alyssa: Oh, um... well... uh... I'll... keep looking for him, I guess...

???: Just passing by before going to Petalburg. I'm going to get my last Gym Badge there, but I'm supposed to meet up here with someone.

-He smiles-

???: Ah, sorry, didn't introduce myself yet. My name is Norm Everrande.

Zelner: Yale Zelner.

-He holds out a hand.-

Zelner: Though I prefer Zelner to Yale.

-Zeal waves his arms.-

Zeal: Naturally, I am the King of—

-He drops his arms and pauses.-

Zeal: Eh, I'll just drop the bizarreness this time. I usually go by Zeal.

Lavaridge

-Norm grabs Zelner's hand for a handshake, smiling-

Norm: Nice to meet you both. So, what brings you both here?

Lavaridge Town

Zelner: I've been traveling with a... well, I'm not sure she thinks of me as a friend.

Zeal: Come to think of it, I have no idea why I'm here.
