-Hikaru hold back more tears, turning himself in the embrace to face Mariko.-

Miki was one of a kind...that much is certain. But so are you, Mariko, you're the hungry little fox girl I saved all those years ago...after mourning this past years...you came to mind so often...we shared so many memories together...with and without Miki...

Ren: Sorry Sarah, I can't leave just yet. There is something bothering me about this base and I need to know what it is. I'll send you back with Copperfield if you like. Also, here's your things back, they where in a room by the entrance to the block.

"One trick of the trade I learned is sabotage- when you really want to teach someone a lesson- there are different ways to taint the product. Very few people know because it's not a common thing to do. But I did my research. I had to use a good majority of the medicine, bought some other supplies I needed. What he thinks he's selling to needy customers is really going to fuck their systems up- not enough to do any damage, but enough that our employer never get back in the business with a mark like that on his rep."

He gestured to the cash in Fireman's hands.

"As for that money of yours- it's actually 25% of what he handed me. I used some of my 25% to taint the goods properly, but I've still made enough to last me for a little bit. If I'm thrifty, I'll be able to make it until the next time I get work."

He smiled.

"The remaining 50%, along with the remaining medicine is on its way to the police. I told them to keep my charity a secret, and to give all of it to the hospital. Furthermore, I issued a public decree. It'll make its way around the Underworld, precisely as I intend it to."

He sat down on the bed.

"I sent out a message to every crook and mastermind I have connections to. I warned them all that 'this is what happens when I only get paid half'. If I had said nothing, I would be blackballed. After all, taking the money for jacked-up goods would be the last job I take. But demonstrating that I will destroy anyone who gets in my way...I have a feeling I'm getting comfortably paid from here on out. If he tries to testify against me, well..."

His grin spread from ear to ear.

"Nobody will believe him. It's a strategical business tactic- reinforcing my positive image while destroying my enemy's. Instead of destroying him...Well, I'll simply just give him a little push and watch him fall."

-Sarah has stumbled upon news of a break-in at the Summerland PEFE branch.-

Sarah: (This is going too far... Someone has to stop him before he does anything worse...)

Sarah: I need to go to Holon. To get something from some old friends.
