Ransei - Over 600 Years Ago

It was during what we had called our Great War, or later referred to as the Ishinosuna. Sand to Stone or something or other. Granted, it was neither great, nor long, nor really cared about. We just wanted our damn rocks.

It was a few short months, but we had managed to get what became Viperia and Yaksha off our backs by persuading them that we'd become a buffer between them and any enemies from the north or west. We had to fight Terrera though and it was a long and hard fought battle. See, Terrera was always a major trade hub, which gave them more access to resources. They also had a larger population to pull Warriors from. Cragspur had gold mines, so we could naturally procure top of the line resources and sufficient resources, and though small our Warriors were elite.

.... As you can expect, this led to a long drawn out stalemate that bled both our kingdoms dry. Neither one of us was gaining an edge, so eventually on the field of battle, which was the edge between what would later become our borders for this very reason, the Warlord of Terrera and my father stood face to face to discuss an alternative. The Terrerans gave us their solution, and that, is where our story begins...

Ren: -to Shiko- Lady Shiko, while I admit it is a pleasure to meet you and your husband, I feel I must correct you in that we didn't rip a hole in space-time to bring you here. The group I travel with is investigating strange time disturbances in this area, which is currently known as Hia Valley in the region currently known as Almia.

Sho: So you travel with wandering heroes!

-Sho smiles at Shiko- Shiko, these descendants of ours obviously take after you!

-While Ren's expression doesn't change, he does grip his cane tightly.-

Kitsune: -trying to change the subject- <Guildmaster Shokaki and Lady Shiko! May I ask what kind of partners you two have?>
