"So, Morgan, you live here in Ecruteak?" asked Sakura, making small talk as she pets Dash.

Ecruteak

"Oh, no. I'm from Lavender Town, in Kanto. Just passing through."

Bell Tower

Valorie looked between the girls and the pidgey. She seemed just a tad skeptical. "...I don't understand... I thought only ditto could transform like that." she remarked.

Ecruteak City

"Oh. I'm from Floaroma Town, in Sinnoh. What brings you here to Ecruteak?"

Bell Tower

Sparkers bows a little but not so much that Val would fall off.

<It's an honour to meet you.>

Diane: Ditto and Mew, but in their case it's transformation into any other Pokemon. I think Ho-oh's just limited to Pidgey. Or possibly birds in general.

Ho-oh: <Pidgey is all you need to know now. But if she doesn't believe me...>

-He starts to glow-

Bell Tower

Valorie returned a blank look again, not having the faintest clue about this new Pokemon being brought up. A glowing pokemon dragged her attention away however and she tensed atop Sparkers' back.

Bell Tower

-The glowing fades to reveal Ho-oh as anyone who has read the legends knows him. He keeps relatively close to the roof surface so that people below don't notice that there's a giant rainbow bird on the roof.-

Ho-oh: <Is this proof enough?>

-Diane glances at Skye, who is more than a bit flustered at meeting Ho-oh — even though she's met him before.-

Diane: ...You okay?

Skye: Y-yes! Perfectly fine!

Bell Tower

<Lord Ho-oh, master of rebirth. I am honoured to be in your presence.>

Ecruteak City

"I dunno. It looked pretty in the brochures."

Bell Tower

Valorie fell silent, entirely frustrated with how little she understood about what was going on. "..."

Ecruteak City

"Well, it is pretty. Especially the Bell Tower." said Sakura, smiling.

Bell Tower

Ho-oh: -to Sparkers- <No need for formalities.>

-Diane pats Valorie-

Diane: Sorry...

-She looks at Ho-oh and Skye-

Diane: ...Perhaps we should go.

Skye: Yeah... It was great to meet you again, Ho-oh, but Valorie's... kinda new to the group.

Ho-oh: -nods- <Understood.>

-He glows again and returns to his Pidgey disguise.-

Diane: See you again another time, then.

-They start heading back down-

Bell Tower

Valorie became slightly bashful as she was pat, looking up at Diane with the most adorably confused expression on her face. As they traveled back down, she finally asked the question that had been on the tip of her tongue the entire time.

"What just happened..?"

Ecruteak City

-Dash nudges Morgan.-

Morgan: "What is it? Oh, I almost forgot. Do you know about a place called Kolas?"

Bell Tower

Sparkers walked down the tower with the others.

<Well that was nice...I think.>

Ecruteak City

"You mean Kalos?"

Bell Tower

Diane: You just met the Legendary that this entire town is devoted to. Who was disguised as a Pidgey.

-She gives Valorie a hug-

Diane: Sorry to make you so horribly confused.

Ecruteak

"Right. That. Someone was telling me about it yesterday. I'm thinking of going there next."

Ecruteak City

"So am I actually. I heard it's a beautiful place full of different Pokémon and even some I never saw before. It's so interesting~" said Sakura, starting to get excited "I think I'll be heading there tomorrow or after, no better way to celebrate the new year than to go somewhere new!"

Ecruteak City

"Sounds good. Thing is...I'm not sure how to get there."

Ecruteak City

"You can buy a thinking and go by ship in Olivine, that's what I'm doing at least."

Bell Tower

Valorie was pulled over for a hug, during which she nearly fell off of Sparkers. She turned a nice shade of red as she was comforted by the other, at first tense but slowly relaxing after a long moment.

"T-Thanks... I'm fine." the small girl assured Diane ever so nervously, her composure utterly destroyed. "I just—I wasn't expecting any of this..." she continued, not even fighting the embrace. She didn't get hugs from humans, not since she'd left home anyway. It helped her feel less homesick.

Martin continues to stare intently at the Lillipup. He's been sitting there for 8 pages. Not moving. Not blinking. It's rather unsettling.

"I think I'll stick around here another day or so. I was hoping to see somebody before I left."
