Crow: "Hm... I didn't get much info, no, but apparently it was something about a scientist and the color yellow..."

"But if you want more info, apparently Aelia's been put on the case. You could contact her and see if she's got more info on it while I focus other places or I could continue to play messenger boy for her and Deimos."

"...And right, Sunsun..."

"Well, he's... the highest ranking scientist here besides Odin. I ended up calling him that name because he was collecting data about the most recent champions at the Unova League and he wasn't willing to divulge his real name, so he had me give him a fake one. I don't think he really liked it, but for whatever reason, I can't remember his real name."

Pyrite Pokémon Center

"Didn't know you were into that series." said Lyuri, then turning to Sandy "Nice, that puppy really helped me cheer up a bit yesterday, tell him I said thanks for it when you can." she then turns to the oven and sighs "... I still need to eat something, that's what happens when I lose track of time and start drawing."

Pyrite Center

-Sandy smiles warmly.-

Sandy: Sure. I'd bet he'd love to hear that.

Sarah: ...Drawing's pretty much been your thing recently, huh...

-Crewe gives Herbert a long, searching look, then grits her teeth and slams her claws against his chest, dulling them so they don't cut him but still shoving him back harder against the wall. If he is calm enough to pay attention to his Aura sense, he may notice her Shadow Aura flaring up slightly-

You still don't regret it. You aren't sorry. You're afraid of what I've become, and you still don't regret doing it to me.

-she leans closer to him-

You hurt Verax. I don't care. I hate him. He probably deserved everything you did to him. And yet you feel bad about it. You took my life from me, Herbert, even if only by allowing it to happen. And yet you're just fine with that, aren't you, because I promised Titan I wouldn't hurt his son too bad, and for a little bit there I was almost okay with you.

-she grins-

Well, you know what? I realized just who I was "okay" with, and it's over, Herbert. I owe Titan too much to kill you, but I can make you wish I didn't. And then we'll see if you're sorry.

-she steps back-

By the way, I may get my memories back after all. Just imagine what I can do when I know everything I've learned about you while traveling. Won't that be something?

Lyuri nods to Sandy then looks at Sarah "It's the best way to spend time when there's nothing to do and the others might still be a bit upset with me over what happened, so I needed to do something with my time."

Pyrite Town

-Herbert forces himself to take a deep breath as Crewe slams him in the chest and against the wall, the impact nearly knocking the wind out of him.-

Herbert: Okay, stay calm... focus on her Aura, her mannerisms. If I'm convincing enough, then I might just be able to make this work... hopefully she won't realise that I'm pulling this out of my ass as I'm going along...

-He does his best to look guilty, glancing down at the ground.-

Herbert: I... I kind of wish we could go back to being okay with each other, actually. I mean, I went along with it at first, since I didn't really know you that well, but then we got to talking after what they did to you and you didn't seem like such a bad person at all... I'm starting to have second thoughts about the whole thing. I didn't realise what it must've been like for you...

-He looks back up at her.-

Herbert: What was it like, by the way? If you can remember, that is...

Titan's Lab

-Titan resumes making notes.-

Titan: I see. I am sure Miss Morgan will be willing to provide me with updates regarding the case in R&D. And this "Sunsun" you are referring to is most likely Iulianus. He is, as far as I am aware, the second-in-command of the department, barring some sudden and rapid change in the command structure. Anything else to report?

-Sandy, sure that the building won't burn down, nods and waves as she makes her way up the stairs to her room. There, she fills in Cun about what Lyuri said.-

Cun Annwn: <Really?! Cool!>

Sandy: Alright, now everyone save Dom is balling up for tonight.

Flanagan: <Wot? Why?>

Sandy: Because I need a shower, and if I'm not confident with my body by myself then I'm certainly not confident with it around males of any species. And I don't trust Selene out tonight. Too much sugar.

Hildr: <What about me?>

Sandy: Hm... good point. You and Dom can stay out.

Flanagan: <Wot?! Why him?>

Big Dom: <the fact that i do not have a biological anatomy might be a part of it.>

Sandy: Right in one. Alright guys, lights out.

-Sandy recalls her team sans Dom, Hildr, and Galvani (who is still absent). She heads into the bathroom and hesitates for a moment.-

Sandy: Alright, you can do this... but oh man, if it was weird last time, its really weird this time...

Titan's Lab

Titan: Very well then. I can hardly complain about the information you have brought me, after all. It is hardly groundbreaking, but it is useful to be able to keep on top of developments in other departments. In any case, I do believe that is all for tonight... oh, with one exception.

-He looks back up at Crow.-

Titan: It has come to my understanding that you have been conversing with Europa recently.

Pyrite Pokémon Center - Kitchen

Lyuri is hugged, but soon breaks the hug

"You, I know, but I still feel really guilty about what happened so I still feel uncomfortable just by looking at some people and don't even get me started on Herbert." said Lyuri, sighing.

Titan's Lab

Crow: "...I have, yes. What about it?"

Pyrite Town

-Crewe snorts-

Oh, sure. You want things to go back to the way they were, now that I have the power to hurt you. I'm sure you do.

-she jabs the (dull) tips of her claws against his chest-

You don't want to know what it's like. You may think you know pain, Herbert. You can't even imagine the pain I could put you through, and even if you could, it wouldn't come close to what you did to me. Even if you ignore the pain... can you imagine waking up with no knowledge of who you are, only a need to be stronger, to destroy those in your path, and every so often seeing something that gives you a headache that'll make your head feel like it's about to split open? You're nothing but an animal. A tool to be used by your masters and a weapon to be pointed at their enemies.

-she clenches her teeth and her Aura flares up again-

And then, when you've finally started to resign yourself to your miserable existence, you learn that people you thought were your friends did this to you, betrayed you and reduced you to this all because they see you as nothing more than an animal and a tool themselves.

-she presses her claws harder against his chest-

That is what I've been through, and I didn't even mention how many times I've been beaten and humiliated by the people you gave me to. And yet you only begin to have second thoughts when you realize you've made a monster that can be used against you.

Sarah: -sigh- I know... It's gotta hurt... The most we can do is just do our best to keep going as strong as we can despite what happened.

Herbert: ...Wow, I wasn't expecting her to give me an entire acting lecture. It certainly helps, though... now I just need to survive long enough to put it to use...

-He sighs, his expression still masked by his helmet.-

Herbert: I... again, I didn't realise... they never said it would be that bad. I know it just sounds like appeasement at this point, but I'm sorry, Crewe, I really am... like I said, I don't know if I can trust them anymore, since if they were willing to do something like that to you... then how do I know I'm safe?

Titan's Lab

-Titan gives a small sigh.-

Titan: ...To clarify, I have no objection to such interactions. I can understand why you would wish to make some attempt to interact with her, given your past history and her current... condition.

-His gaze becomes a fraction colder.-

Titan: However, I have already made my opinion on the matter of her purification clear. Attempting to raise her hopes will only have negative effects on her long-term morale. Understood?

Pyrite Pokémon Center - Kitchen

"Yeah, I know everybody is going through a lot. I'll be fine really, maybe once Duke's back and we give Cipher some payback things will start getting better for us, for now... I guess I'm just going to make something else for me to eat before sleeping, you probably should go to bed as well." said Lyuri.

Pyrite Town

-Crewe snorts, stepping back and looking rather disgusted-

"Sorry". I'm sure you are, now. Stop talking. You're only annoying me more.

-she crosses her arms-

Frankly, I don't care if you're safe or not. You do have the distinct advantage of not being a Pokemon. It's an unfortunate trait you people don't take kindly to. Ironic, given your rather... public occupations as Pokemon Trainers.

Pyrite Center Kitchen

Sarah: Yeah, you're right. All righty then. G'night, Lyuri.

-She heads out and back upstairs, goes into the bathroom to change into pajamas, and flops down on the bed in the room she, Carol, and Herbert were in, falling asleep shortly after.-

Pyrite Town

Herbert: Right... is there any way I can help? I know you don't believe me, but I really do want to help you, Crewe...

-He slumps down against the wall.-

Herbert: The sad thing is, I'm not even acting anymore... of course, our way of "helping" is going to be incredibly roundabout, but we'll get her back in the end... we'll save her, just like we'll save the rest of them...

-Crewe arrives and leaves her teleporting mon to find its own Trainer. Not even bothering to leave the main hallway, she slumps to the floor with her back against the wall and hugs her knees to her chest, dropping her head in top of them-

-Herbert gives a noise somewhere between a sigh and a groan, and tugs off his helmet.-

Herbert: ...Damnit... why it that of all the people I talk to, it's the freaking Shadow Sneasel that gets me, every single time? She's right about everything, in her own warped and twisted way... Arceus, I hate seeing her like that...

-He stands up.-

Herbert: If everything goes to plan, though, I might just be able to help her... well, somewhat. It might just pave the way for her rescue, at least... then we can cut through all the lies, all the hatred, and everything can go back to normal...

-He heads back into the Center and slumps down on one of the sofas in the lobby, muttering a familiar mantra to himself under his breath.-
