Resetti: <Boss, Shale-for-Brains is staring at us again.>
Sabaku: So impatient... let him do his thing. Unfortunately, our plan might be postponed for a bit.
-Sabaku takes his usual position at the map. He eyes Pugilis, and something clicks into place. His fists clench as he whispers under his breath.-
Sabaku: Windmill, windmill, slowly turning...

-A certain red-haired Interpol officer whom Zach fired a gun at yesterday comes down the stairs and nods at Jacob.-
O'Sullivan: Morning. I have to say, I don't remember your cell being so... lavishly furnished. Still, doesn't matter, because you're free to go. Might want to find a new lawyer to represent you, though.

-The sudden appearance of a Xatu just outside the castle startles the guards, though once they realise that Hooke is bearing a message they snatch it off him without a word and take it up to the castle.-

Jacob: -Thinking, then stores all his furniture away in his laptop before turning to O'Sullivan- "I kind of need him to represent me. I... hm.. did you look over the security footage?"

-O'Sullivan nods.-
O'Sullivan: Indeed. It's one of the first things we did after hauling you off, in fact. The angle is a little awkward, but it still clearly shows the two of you talking before he pulls a gun on you. You continue to talk for a couple of moments, then he fires. As for the rest... well, you know what happened.

-A Warrior brings Aiura's missive up to Lucanus, who is currently pacing up and down his war room, muttering to himself.-
Warrior: Erm... sir?
Lucanus: What? What is it?
Warrior: Message for you, sir. From Illusio.
Lucanus: ...Let me see.
-The Warrior hands the missive to Lucanus, who reads through it wordlessly. As he does so, he seems to visibly age by about five years.-
Lucanus: Leave.
Warrior: I'm sorry?
Lucanus: You heard me. Leave. I need to be alone.
-Knowing that the alternative is to be blasted into the wall by an Aura Sphere, the Warrior obliges. Lucanus lets out a quiet groan, then stares at the message again, torn between tearing it to shreds or confessing everything in a reply.-
Lucanus: What do I say to her? What can I say to her?

-Eventually, after staring out of the window for at least ten minutes, Lucanus pulls out a piece of parchment of his own and starts to write a reply.-
Understood. I am keen to avoid the prospect of war with the western kingdoms such as your own, but I am willing to take whatever measures are necessary should such an eventuality arise.
But... even though my actions cannot be justified with mere words... just know that I am sorry. For everything.
Yours, Lucanus
-He sighs, then gives the message to a Drifloon, who floats off towards Illusio.-
Lucanus: How hollow my apologies must seem to her...

Jacob: "If you can see color, I... oh wait you'd never believe me anyways. Okay, if I told you he's done something like this before, but it isn't actually him, would you believe me? Or at least be willing to hear me out on the justification for his actions? Also are court appointed psychics a thing?"

-O'Sullivan pauses for a moment, giving Jacob a curious look whilst he figures out how to respond.-
O'Sullivan: ...If you told me that, I'd assume that one or both of you are insane. Which at this point seems like a fairly safe assumption. And the court does indeed appoint psychics, though they're not used as extensively as you would think. Turns out some people consider having a psychic poking around in their head to be an invasion of privacy, not to mention that there's the possibility of the psychic themselves lying to the court.
