Alright, so we got this immortal guy, he pretty much eats and breathes "living forever sucks"

So after being alive for centuries he decides to off himself.

Problem is, aside from not aging, his body regenerates from any injury instantly

So he decides to toss himself into a Volcano, in hopes that if he's boiled to nothing he will cease to be.

However, this is not the case, he is instantly boiled then regenerated just as quickly.

However this leaves him the problem of being stuck in a effin volcano.

So basically my question to you is...what is the practicality of clawing your way out of a valcano assuming you had a healing factor strong enough to regenerate the...ya know...lighting on fire and melting and crap?

And the constant, unbearable, unending pain that leaves you unable to think, too, right?

This same guy was chained at the bottom of the pacific for over a decade and he came out of it with his sanity...relatively intact.

It's implied that being a Time Abyss who's died about a thousand deaths had sort of made a built in filter for pain.

There is only so much you can withstand before your brain goes into sensory overload and shuts down.

No matter how much you live through.

You won't be able to be completely accurate here.

I'm with Cygan. With that kinda pain, I can't imagine the mind taking it.

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.

If we're talking instantaneous destruction every time he's regenerated - how much can a body achieve in less than a second? Not much, I would think. It seems to me like he'd be stuck.

Could be a good buildup for a plot though, if his brain shuts down instead of going mad.

If his healing factor is strong enough to constantly regenerate from lava, I wouldn’t be surprised if, time abyss that he is, he stayed in there until the volcano erupted, or he sunk into the mantle and is distributed out onto the bottom of the sea floor.

Could be a usefully story device. Sends him right smack bang into the middle of the future.

That would send you really, really far into the future.

Would he have to wait until the rock eroded away until he could get out, or could he start clawing his way through it as soon as it cooled enough to not mean instant death?

He'd have to wait until it eroded, unless he is sent tumbling out of the lava.

Again, incredible unendurable agony.

Well, he might get out eventually, due to sheer luck.

Just have the character think ahead and realize that he's gonna need to crawl out after he throws himself in the volcano. Problem solved.

He's kinda trying to kill himself. I don't think he wants to crawl out.
