This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

...I hope there are pants that go with that outfit because otherwise MJ's suit looks like a Halloween product you might find on Amazon under the description, "Sexy Spider-Man Costume".
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.There have been complaints about the preview for the first issue putting pretty big focus on her T&A as well.
Mary Jane's been in a lot of spider outfits lately between RYV, Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, Iron Spider, and now this.
Mileena MadnessI do love that they make their kid wear elbow pads.
My various fanfics.Doesn't MJ get her powers in RYV from a high-tech suit? I figure she'd need to keep her legs covered for something like that to work at all.

Her suit does cover her legs from what the previews look like.
It's explained in the preview pages for the first issue Peter's messed about with Regent's tech so MJ can share his spider-powers.
So, what, it temporarily reconfigures her DNA and mutates her biology to match his while she's wearing it? That can't be healthy.
Spider-Gwen's got a similar deal. Booster shots of spider-mutation.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It's not healthy for Peter apparently, they've said the two-way link actually does more to weaken HIM
Let's just hope we don't get a "Radioactive semen" moment.
My brain hurts.
I never liked Regent. I thought the dynamic with the Parker family in RYV was neat, but I hated the villain. His one-size-fits-all super-leeching tech makes negative sense, and seems to rely on that whole "Powers as a single tangible force in the universe that all superheroes access" thing that I complained about previously with Power Inhibitors.
Also, it was always a bit hard to swallow that he was able to defeat the entire Marvel Universe by - as one person criticized when it was Squirrel Girl doing it - Mega Manning his way through..

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.When Squirrel Girl did it it was cool though.
There was a flowchart involved.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers- The Amazing Spider-Man #20: Doc Ock is back, and we learn how. He and the Jackal have agreed to work together to find an actual cure for the degeneration that the pills keep at bay, since it's supposedly actually a flaw in the reanimation process and not something that the Jackal intentionally inflicts on people.
- Carnage #13: Bit of a breather episode as we get Raze's POV as she semi-reluctantly follows Carnage, who is becoming more and more fucked up due to the Darkhold's influence and his memories being mixed up with those of that girl who he tried to turn into another symbiote lackey.
- Civil War II: Kingpin #4: I'm only bringing this up because the Gentleman from the Sinister Six novels (and the ASM credits scenes) had an unexpected cameo as one of Fisk's associates.
- Deadpool: Back in Black #2: Wade and the Venom symbiote team-up with Power Pack and Obnoxio the Clown against the Snarks. Meh, but the next issue is going to have Black Cat and White Rabbit.
- Silk #13: The random evil medieval Negative Zone ash knights are beaten and the Moons are happily reunited. But then it turns out that Mr. Moon is in league with that evil blonde Spider-Woman (not Charlotte Witter... probably) from earlier.
- Spider-Gwen #13: A Halloween episode involving a romp through "Old Man Mysterio's" supposedly abandoned fairgrounds. Fun, if slightly inscrutable (Old Man Mysterio left a robot in the fair and programmed it to kill or at least scare anyone who intruded, I think?
- Spider-Woman #12: Beach Episode. Porcupine goes solo against Sandman, who felt slightly more like Hydro-Man. Also, has Sandman always been weak against electricity, because that seemed off.
I don't think Regent was tapping some unified superpower source so much as he figured out a way to infinitely reconfigure his own body, and he had to keep superheroes around in vats in order to constantly scan their physiology so he could replicate them in a stable manner.
But I agree, they should have explored Regent's powers more.
If the electricity is powerful enough to superheat the sand (and fuse it into glass), then it should be debilitating to Sandman. Beaches get fucked up by lightning strikes in real life.

ASM Newspaper Strip: Egghead's through playing around after Spidey takes out his gun (seriously Starr, just use a swatter), and turns his modified gas on Hank Pym, who shrinks down in a much more drastic manner than Scott and Peter were when subjected to the gas, so Scott decides to shrink down further to get him, with Spidey joining in...though I can't see how that'd be possible for Spidey since he doesn't have shrinking tech and it was just his usual brand of unlucky that he was shrank down alongside Scott.
Time to catch up with Kaine in B&W page preview of ASM#21

According to this guy, RYV takes place on Earth 18119. Not sure if this is official or him just pulling a number out of his butt until Marvel's sources confirm something. Still, he does go into detail a bit about Peter and MJ using the Regent tech. He also speculates that this version of Peter may be the strongest, he seems to think OMD diminished a lot of his powers
Yeah, 'cause OMD undid The Other, and now Kaine is The Other and is stronger and faster than Peter.
My various fanfics.Also, grouchier.
I love Kaine.
Which is not something I thought I'd ever say after growing up during the Clone Saga.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat was the designation given to RYV in a handbook that came out a few months ago.
Thanks for that.
Annie has to save her parents from Mole Man on a school night according to RYV#3 solits. Glad we're going to get to see a schooler AND an adult Spider-hero in the same book as opposed to two seperate books in the same universe
