This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Yay for Cloak and Dagger. They're great characters.
I wonder if Slott will keep them with their powers reversed, or if he'll just put them back to normal. It's not like anything was ever done with them after their powers got reversed - they had a minor cameo in the first issue of Superior Team-Up, but they didn't even use their powers there.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. There is gonna be a spider women crossover event with silk Gwen and Jessica. I'd wish Julia or Anya would be involved but eh we gotta shill Gwen more.
Gwen is the one with the book so it makes more sense to include her.
Yeah those 3 have books but Julia and Anya should have been included somehow. And apparently anad marvel is running on real time because it'd like 4 months from now when the crossover starts and Jessica has already had the baby.
Well at least this gives us a guarantee that the preggers Jessica thing won't outstay it's welcome, looks like they're going the real time route too. Remember when it would take MJ three years to have (or miscarry) Mayday despite there being numerous satellite books at the time?
More from the NYCC Panel
-Apparently Slott DOES have fresh plans for Julia.
-Ganke, Jefferson and Bombshell will join Miles in his book too

She's also the one with her own unique universe to run around in so could they please focus on that alternate universe rather than milking her dry and draining her of one of her most unique features?
As much as I like Spider-Gwen and want to like Spider-Gwen, I'm going to loose interest in her and throw up my hands and say 'you know what? forget it!' if they keep insisting on crossing her over with everyone and treat her own series and her own non-616 universe as more of an afterthought.
I hope Ultimate Jessica doesn't vanish too
Happy that Bombshell is surviving. Only other person from Miles' supporting cast I can see crossing over now is Judge.
Is it me, or has Peter been getting it incredibly easy these last few SW tie-ins? Even Civil War ends on a decent note for him Although it's implied his family life will remain a bit shakey due to the still thriving divide between the Iron and the Blue that he now has to deal with alongside Jennifer in the wake of Cap and Tony's deaths. He's doing his best and they seem happy enough though
Spidey 2099's relaunch was nice. It picked up on elements of SW 2099, Peter chewing Miguel out for the tv apperance made sense, and poor, poor preggers Tempest

Rhino is back, and Slott's little throwback to the "mystery man" days of early Lee/Ditko Goblin days was a treat. It's possible they're also setting up Sable's return soon

I assume Oksana is clone (Jackal?) or an illusion (Mysterio?).
Over in Deadppool and Cable, Deadpool referenced the marriage when telling his own wife off for wearing sweatpants, saying Spidey's wife would always wait for him in the "filmiest of nugugees"
I found the gag hilarious though that what Deadpool really wanted was for his wife to dress up like Bea Arthur.
The Spidey newspaper strip is getting darn topical lately. Now Namor's pulling out the "severely ill child Atlantean" card to convince the U.N the pollutants in the oceon are a no-no
I'm hard-pressed to take things at face value, and that there's not another malevolent force at work here that's yet to be revealed.
Meh I just read AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1. It's the same shit again. Peter Parker, for all his brilliance and humility, doesn’t give the impression that he knows what he is doing. I am waiting for the impending doom... fucking do something new Marvel!!! STOP REHASHING THE SAME FUCKING CONCEPT
They...aren't? I have no idea why you would think that they are rehashing the same concept, since Peter Parker is now literally a millionaire and head of a global corporation.
Maybe he means the 'Peter starts looking like he's fixed his life and moved up and ahead, just to end up screwing up and hitting rock bottom again, because DOOMED TO BE LOSER FOREVAH', overall concept. Which actually hasn't shown that often either, either way.
I think he means Peter acting like an idiotic manchild. which is still the impression I get from him. Im starting to see why people liked Sp Ock. Sure he only seemed smarter because he made everyone else dumber, but its better than manchild peter.
The only manchild aspects I could see was that one scene where his fly was down. In the rest of it, he seemed like a competent adult doing adult things.
I still see the man-child elements in there, mainly because Slott writes everyone like a dumb kindergardner anyway.

Yes, I hate how he writes the Silver Surfer just like a dumb kindergartner.
...that was a joke, in case you couldn't tell. Because he doesn't do that.

How could I NOT tell it was a joke when you link it to the Sarcasm trope?
Think Mcfly, think.
And you're right, he doesn't write Noran like that, he just writes him like The Doctor instead

Speaking of Miguel...
Also, Gwen. We get definitive answers to the "organic or artificial?" and "Betty or Chat?" questions.
