This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

Sooo...Seems like Ozzie's back!
"You can reply to this Message!"Finally saw the Amazing Spider-man. I can't believe it took me so long to see it, but it was amazing*. I just love how the fight scenes were handled, will Spidey using his webs and wallcrawling like he did.
And, it was good to have him be a smartass. And subvert the ending of the first one.
Yes, for the love interest this time is not a fish head strapped to a pole with a couple of bumps.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I really liked 95% of Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker (the remaining 5% is made up entirely of his Twilight hair).
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.A comb and temporary bondage will solve that last 5%.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI really like the movie, but Garfield's Spidey always seems kind of a douche (at least to me).
I love Gwen Stacy, though.
Using his webs for added hilarity?
Also: I know he's gotten a lot of negative attention for the Brooklyn accent he displays in the film, but I love it. I know it's not the right dialect for Queens, but he still sounds more like a New Yorker than the standard Hollywood "neutral" dialect that every character of a non-distinct nationality has.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Spider-Man is not unknown for intermittant douchiness. I think in the original comic he refused to stop the burgler just because he was all arrogant about being a star. Usually in adaptations they change it so that he has some reason to be a dick to the guy that just got robbed.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI know, that's why I love the Lee/Ditko original run on Spider-Man. But I just cannot swallow the carjacker scene: it always comes off as Spidey acting like a spiteful bully to a guy weaker than him. It would be fine if he did it to a supervillain.

He is being a spiteful bully in that scene. In the time between Uncle Ben's death and the bridge scene, he's being a reckless vigilante on a single-minded warpath. His first genuinely heroic moment is when he saves the kid on the bridge, and they very pointedly refrain from using the name Spider-Man until that scene.
You're not supposed to agree with his behavior towards the carjacker. Captain Stacy outright explains to Peter and the audience by extension exactly what's wrong with Peter's behavior.
EDIT: Grammar fix

Agreed all around. What the film did well was that they gave reason for his dickish behavior. Peter was never a bad guy, just in a bad place.
I also agree. It's a good thing ASM Peter underwent very organic Character Development. But that scene still irks me, perhaps because people like it for being supposedly "funny" and having "Peter making quips".
I guess I'm a monster, I guess...
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I love that scene for being funny. Come on, who gives a shit about the carjacker. He's a fucking carjacker. All Spidey did was mess with him.

Well he did get smacked in the nuts with high velocity industrial cable.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsEh, he punches people in the face to much greater effect and nobody flinches at that.
Yeah, I was more annoyed by "but those are the best kind" than anything else.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Still though the balls are sacred and to treat them with such casual disdain displays a shocking disregard for the nut health of your fellow man.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsHuh. Ditko did a variant cover for #700.
...is it weird that I didn't know he was still alive until now?
SPOILERS! SPOILERS! AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #698-700 SPOILERS!
It's been revealed who Superior Spider-Man is. It's Otto Octavius, having switched bodies with Peter Parker and left Parker to die in Octavius' rotting corpse

Is it Mary Jane?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNot really an actual spoiler unless you tell us.
I only did it that way so I could make sure the text would be spoilered before I posted xD!
Just as a I suspected! Now to wonder furiously how she hides her figure in that costume.
