This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I'm curious if Harry has any children in this universe.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Gwen being Harry's MJ is a really clever twist and parallel if that's the direction Hickman is going. It's frankly the first interesting thing done with Gwen in a very long time.
You mean besides her alternate universe spider self?
But I do agree it's nice to see something done with classic Gwen.
One Strip! One Strip! It's going to be a trial by fire when this Peter has to fight friends turned villains for the first time.
Really hammer it home the perils of being Spider-Man.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. One thing I'm interested to see is how Peter's influenced their lives in the last 20 years.
Or, where they've lost touch, how they grew up without him. And which of his usual villains were the Maker's allies, which were "dealt with", and which never became villains at all.
So I'm re-watching a bit of Spider-Man 2.
Is Mr. Ditkovitch some kind of stereotype? Cause he sure feels like one, and as usual, I may have missed it.
One Strip! One Strip!I think the only "stereotype" you could describe him as is a stereotype of weird New York landlords.
That self is almost 10 years old at this point
His daughter is Best Girl though. Bring her into the comics and all Spider-Man romantic messes will be settled!
I guess "Boisterous Slavic Guy."
Reading an interesting article about Harry Osborn's time as the Green Goblin and how nowadays while Norman is thought of as the long-term sadistic planner, back then it was Harry's shtick.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I wish we had a thousand J.M De Matties typing at a thousand keyboards at Marvel.

I also learned that Spectacular Spider-Man #200's last 2 pages were originally scripted, but when they saw the art they left them silent.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, Norman didn't become a schemer until they retconned him into manipulating the clone saga.
Back in the day he was forcing Peter to do random stuff like starring in fake movies.
I guess you could say he was a schemer, just not a very competent one.
Which isn't a good thing for a dude wanting to take over the underworld.
You kinda need to be a good schemer for that.
One Strip! One Strip!I'd argue that once Norman became a more manipulative villain type he really stopped caring about the whole criminal underworld thing.
And Harry basically solely existed as a Goblin to mess with Peter, he wasn't doing normal crime either.
I mean, the whole fake movie STILL fooled Peter.
But even classic Norman still made plans, and is the first villain to unmask Spider-Man.
So he has cred when it comes to being a schemer.
Don’t forget, Norman did take over the criminal underworld in Superior.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Did he really take it over when all he did was forcibly turn everybody into goblins and then lose it all near-immediately after taking over because Peter undid it all.
That's during the Goblin Nation.
I'm taking about this part:
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.
Oh yeah.
I gotta say, thinking about it now, "Goblin King" was a way cooler villain name than Green Goblin.
Nowadays Norman is kinda like Spidey's Reverse-Flash, as this parody shows.
It makes sense tho. People might call it motive decay but to a guy like Norman, wanting to make Spider-Man as miserable as possible has internal logic.
For one, just how many times can you have your plans foiled by some dude in a onesie before things start getting personal?
Two, Spider-Man was responsible for Norman Osborn staying amnesiac, and giving him one hell of an identity crisis. To a guy like Norman, being forced to remain an upstanding member of society, plagued with headaches due to not remembering the Green Goblin, and having to spend time with Harry, must be one of the worst things that can happen to him. That's when I think things got REALLY personal.
Which also neatly explained why Norman would enact the Clone Saga. Just to give Spider-Man a taste of what losing your identity would feel like.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I mean, speaking of Clone Saga, that's the point where Norman started pouring millions and years of his life into schemes just to fuck with specifically Spider-Man.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Issue 6's solicit teases that MJ "holds her own", indicating she's involved in the battle or some kind of conflict...what if it's the Ultimate cat fight with Gwen?
