Who says a doglike guy needs to be weak and needy? Dogs aren't so weak and needy! (EDIT:Though I guess it depends on the breed...)
"While I am very much attracted to shy, awkward guys who invoke my maternal instinct (or at least guys who aren't significantly more extroverted than me, since I find that off-putting), I wouldn't want a guy who went as far as not being able to take care of himself emotionally and/or physically properly without me." - Jeysie
As a shy, awkward guy who feels reasonably self-sufficient, I like to see this said. o.o

Basically Mousa has it correct.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~That's what I rather suspected, myself. I was just wondering if there was a good reason for it.
@Benign: A good enough reason for me. Same reason I dislike artfully helpless women.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~I hate this idea that everyone has somehow "become" more of a pansy over the last few years. To me it seems all too much dating advice and things like it are based on the old "squeaky wheel gets the grease" idea, with those who complain the most about not getting dates seen as an indication of the greater mass of mankind.
Then grease that fucker.
- sigh*
I'm going on 29 years old. Still a virgin. Never even had a friend that was a girl, let alone an actual girlfriend, and it seems like the whole world went and paired up when I wasn't looking, because I don't know anyone in my age bracket who isn't already in a relationship.
I refuse to take a chemical just to function as a normal, healthy person and I'm not gullible enough to believe some pre-fab bullshit a psychiatrist might try to sell me. I just need to accept that either I missed my chance for happiness —or perhaps none ever came along to begin with— and this is my life now.
It is hard to live with that.
... You necroed this thread for that?
If you're referring to a mental issue like depression, you aren't going to get anywhere by refusing to take medication.
Be not afraid...Oh no you didn't. This is one thread that did not need to be necroed. Locking it so it descends into the muck once more.
A brighter future for a darker age.
