Kind of funny that his tail has now disappeared since he's reverted back to a Neo state. Where did that tail even come from in the first place?

There is a huge amount of CENTRE in the middle of the planet that can regen wounds and resurrect the dead so I'm sure that absolutely won't play any part of what is happening at the moment.

Komatsu and Toriko exchanging looks while Komatsu is missing half his body is hilarious.

This final arc has been one of the weirdest out of the Shonen I've read but in all honesty I love it.

Where'd you get the villain acting book from,Acacia?Also,Neo's behavior is a bit further from just eating,dontcha think?

So Acacia was good all along? What is even going on anymore?

Eh, I like this better, just because him being evil all along seemed too stupid and convoluted for my tastes.

Meh, this sucked. Not least of which because of the amount of plotholes it creates. Remember when he kept this act up when literally nobody else was around?

Remember when Frohze tore her womb out of her body cause she didn't trust him?

So, here's something I've been wondering ever since I read the latest chapter: all those moments where "Acacia" reveled in how much of a scumbag he's been acting like, how much of those were actually Neo just saying things hoping to drive his opponents to despair so that they'll taste much better once he devours them?

None of it. NEO can't even function like that. He's just an eating machine. He has no knowledge of psychology beyond "stalk and scare it till it's screaming. All of this stuf was Acacia playing the role.

Hm. Yeah, it would have been better if Acacia was at least actually struggling to keep things together like he mentioned earlier. He can still have a plan, he just doesn't need his full faculties.

Still, I prefer all the hammy villain being a ploy versus it being genuine.

Also, is it me or is Jiro taking his own completely unnecessary murder and the preceding trampling of everything he ever loved really, really well? That's the thing that bothers me most: Acacia sadistically murders his own son, mocks him when he's DYING by revealing "oh, hey, everything you loved was a lie, psyche!" then continues the act after Jiro has disintegrated into nothing.

It's been more than five posts, we can stop with the spoilers now. Honestly, it just seems like Acacia was pulling an Obito. At least this isn't as nonsensical as that situation was.

Remember how well everyone took the Blue Grill mess?

Those people have Eating And Cooking Morality .

The big difference with Obito was that he was actually villainous until he got a redemption. Like he actually was meant to be evil when he killed, say, Konan.

I'm gonna say it flat out: Naruto did this far, far, FAR better.

Acacia himself knows what he did was wrong, and thus, played along with it.

Obito completely believed in his own bullshit

While this may be the end of Acacia and Neo, Mitsutoshi is still taking new ingredients from readers, so we will probably get another arc after this showing them off. Maybe find the full course for Blue and winged demon.

Dedication to playing the bad guy is one thing.

Method acting to the point you straight up murder your own son and then continue acting like an evil sadist after nobody else is around? Well...

This whole final arc has been one gigantic case of Writing by the Seat of Your Pants. And it was a poorly done example. Wbt So YP can work. It worked in Dragonball and some shounen manga that were inspired by it. It didn't work here.

Why? Because the characterization was jumping all over the place too. If the story had decided on Acacia being brainwased, a Fallen Hero, or an irredeemable monster and just ran with it, this arc would have been a whole lot better. Instead it jumped back and forth through those variables like some sort of hot potato.
