God finally appears.

A conversation in the Bleach thread made me want to ask this question: how do you see Neo/Acacia being defeated? Because he's going far and beyond to show the thing is basically invincible.

He tries to eat Komatsu,he Food Lucks all attempts away,and he feeds him something tasty.

Yeah, basically. We were told outright that Food Luck is bullshit deus ex machina that can make all your problems go away, and we've been told time and time again how Komatsu is Food Luck incarnate.

Oh yeah, there's also Toriko's third fricking Gourmet Demon which probably has absurd power level.

They'll be defeated separately. Neo will be devoured by Toriko, using the power of his third demon; Acacia, meanwhile, will be fed his full course as prepared by Komatsu, which will make him genuinely repentant and cause him to fade/ascend from the mortal world.

I still find the idea of Acacia faking everything hard to swallow. Right now, I'm just going with Neo's appetite combined with his own driving him crazy or something.

I can't remember: When was Acacia revealed to be evil? IIRC, he was still being treated as a generally swell guy as late as the Pair arc.

It was implied by Joie just before the Gourmet World Saga began I think.

Also during that fight with Midora that showed how he caused Joie to revive instead of Froese(?). Not sure to spell her name.

Honestly, at this point, I don't want Acacia repentant. He has done far too much to be given a reprieve. He needs to die screaming, hopeless and in utter despair. Fuck him.

I don't see Acacia not dying, but I want there to be a little closure, at least for Midora, preferably for the others involved.

If Midora gets 'closure' with Acacia, it's going to be that everything he remembered and treasured was a lie, except for Frohze and his brothers. After all this buildup to what a bastard Acacia really is, having him redeemed would be something of a cheat.

If Midora gets closure, it should be from Frohze.

He doesn't really need to be redeemed for his relationships with them to have been real, at least at some point.

Like, I don't see him not dying at the end of this, and I'd probably be annoyed if he were still alive, but I don't think that's too much. And it's not like it would take away from all the other awful shit he's done.
