This whole arc has been a wild ride from start to finish. Gotta wonder what kind of things they'll face on the next Area.

I think what makes it so delightful is that the arc really was consistently weird. It never really dragged at any point and there were lots of great moments. Plot-wise, surprisingly nothing seemed asspulled or anything of the sort. Kaka, the murals, the 100 G mountain, the Monkey King and lots of other things made a lot of sense between each other or came back with a vengeance (the Sandoriko in particular).

I think what really threw off most people momentarily was stuff like Pair's nature and other similar elements, but at this point I think most readers don't mind that kinda thing.

Is it just me or does real Kaka have one of those memetic yaoi character faces but with nose removed?

the group from Human World catches up with them.Bambina sees Zonge,mistakes him for a female of his species,and....

heh, poor Zonge.

So...

What's Bambina going to do when he realizes Zonge's NOT his dead girlfriend? Poor guy is in for a nasty end.

Probably just feel sad again. This arc has passed the serious part already.

Fake Kaka survived,and regroups with another Blue Nitro.

Real Kaka tells the Kings to capture ANOTHER next,since it's important for the Blue Nitros.

Midora sends Starjun to accompany Brunch with assisting the Kings to capture ANOTHER.

Acacia shows up,and is allied with the Blue Nitros,saying he cant wait anymore...

...I fucking love this series. I can't wait to see just what is going to try to eat the Earth.

My god, by the end of this series, I don't think a single Dragon Ball character could survive in this world if it keeps escalating like this.

Powerlevels mean nothing to me nowadays. Where Toriko really shines is by playing the absurd escalation to the entire world, not just its inhabitants - from the start we've known this was a ridiculously deadly planet, and even 324 chapters later it's still the case for our experienced protagonists, even if they're better suited to handle it. Even at the top of their game they're just not strong enough to just brute-force past obstacles.

Put another way, in Dragonball, the world calls to its characters to have adventure - but the tension and danger always come from its enemies. In Toriko, the world might kill you before you even get to the enemies. Isn't it wonderful?

The new chapter is out. Apparently the most powerful of the Eight Kings is a whale.

I hope it's the size of the Earth.
