Wow this was a weird, hunger-inducing chapter. Wrestling ingredients in such a way that they become a really large Maki that you can eat through to guide you to where you want to go. o_o

Hmm, I wonder what Shonen Jump Alpha is going to do during hiatus weeks. Do we get a chapter of a random current series? A reprint of a classic chapter of the missing series? A very short issue? We'll soon find out.

Food honor seems to be a really nice skill to have.

New chapter and we get an idea of how strong Toriko/Torigo is now.

It was at least 35-40 "ren". With no noticeable build up.

By the way... any idea why the translator is using "Torigo?"

Torigo was a mispronunciation, Komatsu was crying (with snot and all) when he said it.

Hot damn Toriko just nonchalantly used at least 35-Ren.

He's reaching early Dragon Ball Z level status there... XD

New chapter was really good. Thank God the master was at least able to hurt her.

Not only that, he would have been able to stop her entirely if not for loosing his concentration for a moment. We will have to see if the reason he lost it (her telling him the reason she left) is any good.

As for this chapter... just how strong is their boss anyway!? If Toriko can mistake one of the top lieutenants as the boss through a GT robo and be scared by that... Yikes.

The boss is one of Acacia's apprentices and is supposed to be equal to Toriko's master, and possibly stronger. Plus he's been living in the Gourmet World for a long time. Makes sense why he'd be so strong.

As expected, the fight with Master Chin did manage to hurt Evil Granny to the extent that Toriko would give her trouble.

We finally get Toriko and Komatsu's rival combo! I've always liked Staajyun and I'm sure Komatsu's rival chef will show his worth later on. I also wonder if Komatsu's gonna try to get himself some Gourmet Cells?

Interesting times ahead.

I certainly hope he gets some gourmet cells soon. I don't see how he can possibly survive without them.

Though I guess it is possible that he is developing his own cells just by eating all these things with such good/strong properties... well, ti's something to think about.

I also felt Staajyun never cared about Bishokukai and is just there to search for his ingredient.

Ootake is the 100th best chef in the world according to the IGO, and for him to ranked with Staajyun as his combo must mean that they dont have a ton of the first 100 ranked chefs

More likely that he is one of the ones who survived the transition (or transitioned the best) from the human world to the gourmet world.

It also could be most of the other top chefs can either defend themselves or are too well defended to be easily caught. They have to aim for that narrow range of good, but not yet too good to have the protection and power being amazingly skilled can come with.

We see some character development for Toriko, since I believe his thinking that failure can be a kind of success is something he learned in the last arc.

So. These last 4(?) chapters.

I don't suppose anyone would like to try their hand at writing a Serial Escalation entry on the page? i would but I'm afraid my writing skills with such things are horrid.

The Four beasts are just Limbs of a stronger beast. They are fucking limbs.

By the end of this series, it will reach Asuras Wrath levels of power, I swear.

I'd rather wait til we're done with the Four Beast.

So, yeah, Four Beast. The main body is already on his way to lunch. How are the Bishokuya gonna stop it?

I'm sure it will happen, especially since the gourmet cells of people undergoing food honor act and react to environments much faster then regular ones.

Imagine the power boost the four kings will get after eating the four beasts and their controller.
