The Panda actually forced Toriko to use 36 Ren. That in itself is an amazing achievement. Also dug the fact it actually used strategy to supplement its fighting skills unlike most other monsters save for the Battle Wolf and the Nitros. And Livebearer continues to freak me out.

That fight didn't look like it took 40 minutes...

That was quite the impressive panda though.

Looks like they are attemping #2 on my list of possible outcomes, but not depending on it. In fact, I would not be surprised if they do all three at this rate.

Chapter 168 is out. LOL, Livebearer has too many rape faces. So livebearer knew how to make every single dish, even the potato. What I think Coco is trying to say is that because of the order livebearer ate his foods, the previous foods would make the poisonous potato impossible to eat under it's 10 minute time frame. Maybe the Nitro Banana has long lasting effects keeping the poison active? Coco was very calculating in that then. Even though they can never catch up point wise then he forces livebearer to give up and lose the game (2 give ups means you lose, his first give up was the wisdom panda just for reminders on the rules) or die. And the nitro cherry, I thought it was absurd Toriko survived a supposedly deadly ingredient as you can not defend organs but with the gourmet cells regenerative abilities it could be possible. I expect the gang to be compassionate and just take the narcotic ingredients and the meteor garlic memory. Shima ended the casino arc with a twist I did not expect. Or Coco could just be totally faking it and have a great poker face.

It definitely comes off as very reminiscent of Jotaro's Poker Bluff.

It's either a bluff or Coco is really just that good.

Either way it's awesome.

Given the amount of Shout Outs to Jo Jo (the Intimidations look like Stands, the artstyle seems inspired by early Jo Jo) and such, wouldn't be surprised if it WAS a Shout-Out to Jotaro's bluff.

I understand the very end of the chapter, but it still feels like a bit of an Ass Pull after all that talk about how poisonous it is. Not to mention, I can not understand how Coco could have guessed that it would "match" with Toriko.

Though I do like how the didn't even bother to show the obviously one sided fight.

Anyway, sounds reasonably likely if the cooks are still in the "human" world. If they have been taken to a secure location in the Gourmet world... I don't think Toriko is quite ready for that.

They have said that some ingredients just react better to different people. Maybe the poison has a similar electric thing to other foods that Toriko reacted with.

The chapter was kind of ruined though with the asspull of Toriko eating the potato

I really don't see that as an asspull. Komatsu cooked it, and his meal before hand was to help him eat it. I was fine with that.

LQ scan (with a reasonable translation) is out.

Must say, it was rather predictable. But still good. Not to mention when they were eating the garlic.

The cleaning was pretty terrible though.

I can't wait to see how Toriko looks after eating it.

I made the mistake of reading while I was hungry.

I kinda hope that eating that will compact Toriko's muscles just to troll with everyone. XD
