to me, neither of the first two actually count as tea. they're more a tea-flavored dealio

Ah tea my drink of choice for any occasion. My favourite is Spring Jasmine Oolong. It's as smooth as silk and can take a about 3 washes before it gets weak.

I just tried lapsang suchong the other day and that stuff makes me feel like I should be drinking it in a cozy room with wood paneling and deep leather armchairs. I can't wait to serve it to the guys over some cigars and brandy. [lol]

Have any of you tried making your own blend?

I plan to do so as soon as I'm no longer broke.

My girlfriend finds lapsang souchong disgusting on the basis that, and I quote, "it smells like a war museum".

Yeah its not for everyone but for those who think tea is not manly should try it before talking.

Wondrous. Especially jasmine or chai tea.

I got some of that fancy Tea Forte for my birthday.

It's really good, I'm gonna need to use it sparingly so it lasts longer.

Ooh, tea thread? Want.

Let's see, I love jasmin and green tea. Earl grey is surprisingly sour.

Earl Grey... sour? Naa, Earl Grey's bitter, not sour.

I get where he's coming from honestly. It has a sort of sourness to it along with the standard bitterness. I always add cream to it. Typically I make a London Fog with it.

I'm quite certain the version I tasted was somewhat sour, at least compared to most teas. I don't know, guess what I tasted was of bad quality.

I don't like adding anything in teas. Coffee, yeah, but not tea.

Say, has anyone here tasted a tea that was made out of brewing corn's leaves/skins (how do you call it?)? I like its very grainy taste.

Bad timing, probably, but I just so happen to be drinking some of that fancy Tea Forte earl grey right now. And... Yeah, even this one is kind of sour. I've never been big on earl grey.

I too, enjoy tea. Specifically Black Pekoe bought in crates from Shaws. I've made one crate last three years and I'm still only half done with it. No milk, lots of sugar, boiled in a pot instead of a kettle.

Replace "weird" with "unenlightened."

It's okay, man. The tea will find you in time.

Actualy, I don't think so... I hate hot beverages with a passion. I can only stand drinking my chamomile tea in the morning when it is at room temperature.
