This is definitely a trope. A lot of people I know make jokes about how allegedly low-income families in sitcoms live in villas or inner city apartments that only millionaires could afford in Real Life. Heck, even The Simpsons (which heralded a trend of more lower-class sitcom protagonists) live in a detached house with a nice garden, despite numerous episodes centering on their financial problems.
I think the name is to blame for this trope's lack of popularity (seriously, what does it even mean?). Send it to YKTTW, if need be, but I think this trope exists and should have a page.
It's on YKTTW here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=xeurgx6leleastvyd2ja4w1u
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower MathematicsI like the new title! I haven't been to YKTTW for a while, and it's one of those Seen It A Million Times things I can't really peg an example for, but I hope it goes well!
But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.Problem is it never got cut. When it was cutlisted, the cut was denied.
Once the new article is launched under Informed Poverty the cut will surely go through? The new title is a great improvement.

So we have this trope. It was cutlisted in august for being poorly named, lacking a YKTTW, and having a whoopinh 3 examples. The idea was that if cut, it could go through YKTTW. The cut was denied (without explanation, might I add)
Cue 5 months later, and the trope has... Oh, 4 examples now! And a whooping 2 wicks!
Seriously, this page needs help. It's probably the most pityful trope page the wiki has ever had.
EDIT: I did the back and forth linking of the example, so yay, 6 wicks.
