Well it does sound less like bullshit than your claim, that Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 are underrated.

Although that's not saying much.

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.

I can't think of a company as badly run as Aperture Science seems to be. A company that can develop some of the coolest stuff I've ever seen and because it's run by a total madman can't figure out how to make a profit from them, instead just continue endlessly testing such products for no purpose whatsoever.

Well, Aperture Science's tech has a slick, clean, pristine look that you could easily compare to a Mac computer. While Black Mesa's looks more rudimentary and is focused more on function rather than on aesthetic, something that you could relate to an old PC because all PC's are looking slicker and more aesthetically pleasing nowadays.

So in some way it does make some sense
