For all who didn't get the hint, refer to Bara Genre for details. Or not, depending on your sensitivities.
Anyway, been rushing work recently and may not be able to handle a full round. Open to the floor, but I'll take it back if no-one takes this by tonight.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. Is the hint related to the song? to the anime?
The hint is related to the song.
It's not a "In Soviet Russia!" joke.
The hint does not relate to the anime.
BTW: You can also ask about answers. You can also ask questions tangentially related to questions and answers.
You'd think one of them would have ducked...
Is the punchline (if it has one) the song name?
Does Russia have anything to do with the anime?
Is any part of the song in Russian?
There is no punchline.
Russia does not have anything to do with the anime.
At least one word of the song is arguably Russian.
Well, let's get the obvious out of the way first.
Is it "Bartender"? "Hajimari no Hito"?
Does at least one of the characters speak Russian or is Russian?

Follow me on tumblr! No no and no.
Russia has absolutely nothing to do with the anime. Well, nothing comes to mind.
BONUS HINT: If you remember some stuff I tried a few months ago when I was part of this game, you might have a better grasp on what the hint means.

...
Is it "God Kno- *gets sla- wait a second. It's not really the Russian cover of "God Knows", is it?*

Follow me on tumblr! The Jeff Goldblum reference in the hint specifically refers to Jeff Goldblum logic, not Jeff Goldblum.
This of course allows you to ask all sorts of craaaaazy questions about Jeff Goldblum logic now~ <3
Also, knowing my earlier comments about Jeff Goldblum logic is the "Bonus hint for people who remember my earlier participation"
It is not the russian cover of God Knows.

Does it have anything to do with Titanic? Is the anime about pirates?
It has nothing to do with Titanic (this is the right line of thought though) and the anime is not about pirates.

Is the hint refering to the name of the song? the lyrics of the song? the performer(s) of the song?
Yes Yes No
I'm not really good at Jeff Goldblum logic, but does a Leonardo Di Caprio movie shares it's title or part of it with the title of the song?
If so, is said movie Blood Diamond? Is the anime about flying?

No in all cases-though I concede I don't have a perfect repertoire of Decaprio movies. Only a few of the big well known ones.
Well, in Soviet Russia, joke doesn't get you, so...
Is it Inner Universe? Rise? Player?
Something tells me this is going to bite me in the ass.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. Not even close!
UPDATED HINT: There is no joke. The "X Y and Z walk into a bar" line is just to introduce the three important data points the hint is supposed to convey.

Aw, and I almost thought it was going to be an Inception reference.
(Yeah, I vaguely remember that Jeff Goldblum round. Think we tried lynching you for that.)
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. It is an Inception reference.
edited 12th Apr '12 9:52:49 PM by TheyCallMeTomu
EDIT: Okay, just take that as a question then.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. The entire point of dropping Decaprio was that it was an inception reference, I'm not going to edit that out ;P
Yo dawg, I heard you like the anime theme song game, so we decided to give you another hint for your game, so you can game while you game.

Is the word "deep" or "deeper" or their japanese equivalent part of the song's title? Is the word "dream" or its japanese equivalent part of the song's title?
Yup, it's Bara wa Utsukushiku Chiru, the opening of Rose of Versailles, otherwise known as Versailles No Bara. Also, there's only one OP song, so both titles would be acceptable answers for me.
People were asking to use anime that they might actually know about, so I complied by using that as an excuse to throw in a song from one of my personal favourites, a classic "year 24 group" shoujo series that helped define the themes of future shoujo.
Your turn, Pyrite.
