TTYD might have my favorite soundtrack, but SPM has the one of the best renditions of the Starman theme ever.

Okay, here's that 30 minute video gameplay that was posted earlier. This one's split up into parts though.

Well, if we're posting favorite music now...

And since you can only post one YT video for post, a link to another:

Ah, the Mega Star. When you hear that, you know someone's boned.

Even the Koopa that dared to try and use it on you.

I actually like Super Paper Mario. Peach, Bowser, and Luigi counted as party members and partners in Super Paper Mario as they had the ability to fight, although people are entitled to dislike the video game if they want to. I really don't mind the fact that a butterfly Pixl was the expositor in Super Paper Mario instead of a Goomba either as it really doesn't matter what race the expositor is to me.

Paper Mario Sticker Star and the plot is good so far in my opinion, although I really do not see the point in game developers not making Mario level up as I never play an RPG video game where the player does not level up. I do understand why some people are disappointed about their being no partners at all in Paper Mario Sticker Star due to the game seeming to be alluing to them at first with the presentation of the Chain Chomp. So I really don't blame them for being disappointed.

Wait, is anyone else actually in-progress in this thing?

And just how much of a game breaker is this Flashy Infinijump sticker anyways? I mean, I just destroyed the bosses of worlds 4 and 5 with them. Did IntSys put any bosses in World 6 in that can't be destroyed simply by farming Flashy Infinijumps?

All-in-all, it isn't a *bad* game, just not what I'd expect from a Paper Mario. When there's actually lines, they still have that trademark series humor, though.

[up] Flashy Infini Jump is very Game Breaking, and with a couple of them, you can take down Bowser without being powered up by Kersti. I say a couple as the maximum amount of times you can repeat the action command caps around 100 jumps or so.

Anyways, Wiggler. It's so worth it to get the Wiggler Diary Entries which provide the best writing!

Nope. The way defense works in this game is a little weird. For the most part, your stickers will do at least 1 point of damage to an enemy, but if your sticker is too weak, it won't do any damage, which is a really rare case.

Huh. Seems like a really peculiar oversight on the developers' part. Especially how you can essentially farm them in World 1-1 after unlocking the shop in World... I believe it was 4-4? Oh well.

[down] That is correct, yes. I could have sworn Enigmansion was 4-3, though.

[up]EDIT: Checking that, you're right. How odd that they passed up making the Enigmansion level, well...

I thought 4-4 was the Enigmansion. You mean the shop in the forest, right?

I'd like to note the Big Shiny Infinijump and Megaflash Infinijump, despite I myself never using them, are useless because of the level you get them in. THAT DAMNED CHEEP CHOMP.

Also, while I'm fairly certain it's a worthless sticker anyways, what's the timing on the Eekhammer family? I could never figure it out.

It's not really worthless, it's really a different method of attack. Basically, once the hammer shines, press A, and repeat 4 more times.

That's not quite it, from how I understand. Essentially there are two completely different kinds of defense that work completely differently. First you've got your standard defense given to enemies with hard shells and the like, which subtracts damage. If the damage is subtracted to zero or less, the attack does no damage at all. The counter to this is to use single-hit attacks as opposed to multi-hit attacks. This is how defense worked in the older Paper Mario games.

The second kind of defense is associated with the "shiny enemy" mechanics, including all bosses. I haven't thoroughly experimented, but this seems to be a percentage-based defense, most commonly 50% but also varying based on the particular enemy. Percentage-based defenses always round up to 1 damage as the minimum. As far as I know, there is no counter to this kind of defense (it just increases the enemy's effective health), although most if not all bosses have specific weaknesses that alter the percentages, often even going above 100% for a bonus multiplier.

I'm playin' it right now! I just unlocked the Secret Door sticker. Welp, there goes any hope of progress for the next hour and a half.

Incidentally, I'm diggin' the soundtrack to this game way more than I thought I would. It's jazzy in a way I didn't expect.

I like this game, but I really wish it'd had partners and plot. Why did Miyamoto tell them to make this without a focus on plot? :S Wonder when or if they'll be a new Paper Mario game that keeps the RPG and plot/dialogue that made the games great.
