Hearing the rendition of Kirby 64's first level theme put an immediate grin on my face.
lol, does HAL hate Squeak Squad now or something? It shares a medley with Amazing Mirror, and only has two songs in said medley, one of which didn't even originate in Squeak Squad!

The two Squeak Squad songs used in the medley are that Grass Land theme from Dream Land 3 and, if I'm not mistaken, the non-boss version of the Squeak Squad theme.

Now that I listen to it again, the Amazing Mirror/Squeak Squad Medley feels a bit phoned in in general. It's pretty much all strings and it's the shortest medley from the concert, in spite of having two games' worth of material to work with.
The weird thing is most of the orchestrations were arranged by Shogo Sakai, who worked on Squeak Squad. I guess he considered devoting an entire medley to Air Ride enough apparent favoritism toward his own work?
The rest of the concert is fantastic though. The Triple Deluxe and Dream Land 3/64 medleys are my favorites.

The franchise celebrates its silver anniversary in the States by having a week-long 25 (hah, clever) percent discount on Kirby games on the eShop. Good for anyone who's missed out on any of these games. Traditional platformers only, though.
I wonder if this means we'll be getting news soon about that Kirby fighting game or whatever it is that's coming to the 3DS later this year.

It wouldn't surprise me if they had a Kirby 25th Anniversary Direct to properly announce the 3DS Kirby game and detail Kirby Switch (and maybe give it a name, too?). Don't know how soon something like that will happen, though.

Did we know for sure that the "multiplayer action game" was for the 3DS and not Kirby 2018 itself? That's what I assumed.

I want to see more about the Switch game, and if they will add the Animal Friends from Dream Land 3 (which I regret not having played it before, because it kicks ass). At least, it looks promising.

Are we gonna ignore the fact that the Multiplayer 3DS Kirby game is an actual 3D game?! Like, not even 2.5D it's a top down game like Blowout Blast except with copy abilities!

Seems like part of the gradual move towards a full blown mainline Kirby game in 3D which I suspect will be their direction after Star Allies.
I know Battle Royale games are extremely popular these days, but Kirby wasn't the first choice I had in mind for a Nintendo version.
